I've been thinking for long if to write positive or negative feedback. Negative one would save Jeff from another totally desperate bicycle tourers with crazy difficult problems but when other tourers read the positive one they will wait with their problems to Jeff :-)
Sorry Jeff, but it must be positive :-) Jeff is that kind of person who won't let you down even if he has to sacrifice a lot. Totally awesome guy and no problem is too difficult for him. Highly recommend him to anybody. You won't be sorry if you visit his shop.

Passing through the area when the gear selector on my basic, big box, bicycle broke. Popped in and was met with superior customer service and a can-do attitude! Bike was cleaned, adjusted, and repaired at a fair price in a reasonable amount of time. Thanks, Jeff! Highly recommend!

Excellent mechanic Jeff! And above all, an honest man! After a very bad experience with a name repairer in Brookings, who charged me $50 for nothing, I came to Jeff. He replaced my delailleur, put a new chain and one spoke that rusted in the wheel. He did it all in two hours and charged only $111 - that is, the parts. He also gave me excellent advice about my bike.

My partner and I stopped on our way down during our pacific coast tour and were met with such kindness and friendliness by the owner. He helped us in a pinch with new pedals and offered great tips for camping in the area and stops for along the way. Great shop!

Friendly and knowledgeable customer service. Easy to access location. Large selection of bikes and accessories. Definitely recommend and will be back again.

In the middle of a long bike tour to raise awareness for distracted driving, I stopped in at South Coast Bicycles to get a creaking noise looked at. Jeff stopped what he was doing and meticulously looked at all possible causes of the problem and eventually identified a crack in my derailleur hanger. This not only helped me with the creak, but Jeff’s attention to detail helped prevent a potentially catastrophic situation while riding. It’s not easy to run a business like this on your own, but Jeff does it all with a smile and cares deeply about his customers and getting things done correctly and thoroughly. I will never forget the help that Jeff gave me on this trip!

Needed new rotors and pads on our mountain bikes before heading to Whiskey Run. We stopped in, and Jeff was super helpful and had all the parts we needed. He gave us a trail map and was happy to share local knowledge. Nice to have a great shop with kind and knowledgeable staff so close to Whiskey. We'll be back next time we are in town. ThanksJeff!

So grateful and pleased with the work performed on my bike at super short notice. I was on a cycle tour passing through the town and Jeff went out of his way to get me back on the road quickly. Brilliant service and very reasonable pricing. Thank you so much for the help!

Excellent 4-hour fat bike rental for the beach. Park at the shop and ride back streets to the parking lot at the south jetty. From there you can ride as far south as you want. Be careful of the tides and the wind. Riding against the wind is difficult and slow. It was blowing 20 with gusts to 30. Took us 3x the time to walk back. Especially with kids with short legs. Adults could ride back, but its slow.

Next time we will put a car with a bike carrier or trailer at devil's kitchen and do the trip from the south jetty a couple of times. It would be a blast.

Make sure to bring helmets if COVID is still an issue. They can't sanitize or rent them. We also got pretty sunburned on our hands and arms.

The staff was helpful and courteous. Looking forward to doing this again.

Rented fat tire bikes for a fantastic ride down the beach. Great shop to deal with and Jeff was friendly welcoming and as helpful as can be. Made sure we were well fitted and knew where we were going. Bikes were brand new and well tuned; it’s always a pleasure to rent equipment that is in excellent condition and well taken care of. Would definitely be back. And as an aside, it’s also great to deal with a business that wants to respect and protect the health of its customers and employees.

You have to try the fat bike beach ride rental! Excellently maintained bikes, very reasonable prices and Jeff is super flexible with rental times. Unique and unforgettable.

Great experience. Rented a great mountain bike and helmet and spent the afternoon at Whiskey Run. Got a lot of good information from the owner. Definitely recommend.

Wow! We rented some E-Bikes to ride on the Beach at low-tide during sunset and it was amazing! We have never used E-bikes and found that the rentals are easy-to-use and you feel comfortable right away! Not to mention it makes enjoying that beautiful sunset even better with being able to ease up on pedaling!

Would highly recommend. The Customer Service, like the other reviews, is what makes this place So Special!!! We will definitely be back!!!

Jeff is absolutely awesome. I'm newly local and had some derailleur issues on my Ibis. Jeff quickly determined the problem for me and had me back on the trails immediately! Whether you need a road bike, beach cruiser, mountain bike or just some cool gear, go support this awesome local bike shop!!

On a road trip in our motorhome, we realized our cheap bike ordered off of Amazon had a bent wheel. Stopped here at this bike shop, great staff and prices! The staff went a step farther and switched out our rear tire and sent us on our way! Many fun little rides along our adventure.

Very cool bike shop, My sons brakes where dragging on his rear wheel. We stopped into South Coast Bikes and Micheal fixed us up on the spot! Also love the small town vibe, we are from Portland so its quite the change from our shops. Highly recommend. Thanks!

What an amazing bike shop!! IMHO it's the owner that makes this place as special as it is. He is super helpful, knowledgeable, and friendly. He was in the middle of doing repairs when I came into his shop, but in spite of him being busy, he took the time out to assist me with my needs. His prices are reasonable and his expertise is out of this world. He also provided me with local information concerning areas (beaches/trails) that I could take both my fat bike and my Levo Turbo. You will not be disappointed using his services. Please support our local businesses during this time of crisis.

Super informative and personable! Jeff and the people there were great! Just had some questions about the area and then we talked components and the lack of supply at the moment.
We are staying in Coos Bay but decided to travel down to this shop and glad we did. I had stopped in a shop in CB and the place looked like they just moved in. Tags, boxes and trash everywhere and no organization. South coast was what you’d expect in a shop, thanks for the info and tire sealant!!

Jeff is very knowledgable and helpful! He was able to squeeze us in and fix my bike quickly while we were on vacation. We have been to the shop multiple times over the last year, and our experience has always been so great!
