RC Trailers

I had a trailer door that needed replaced under warranty. I talked to Patrick and he was fantastic. He replied to all my emails and calls in a very timely manner, usually immediately and kept me updated on the progress of my replacement door. The service could not have been better! My trailer has over 8000 loaded miles in 3 years with no mechanical problems. Thanks Patrick.

We (Huskie Robotics Team 3061 - Naperville, IL) were on our way to the Greater Pittsburgh Regional Qualifier when a leaf spring on our single axle equipment trailer failed. We were lucky enough to find ourselves only a few miles from RC Trailers (off the I-80 toll road). Jennifer and Brian were super helpful. After giving them a call and explaining our situation they invited us over and took us in immediately. We had new leaf springs on our trailer in less that 45 minutes!!! While we were waiting, Brian took us on a quick tour of their manufacturing facility. They build beautiful custom trailers, everything from refrigerated trailers to fully equipped race car transports. We have a 12 year old RC trailers 32 foot stacker. It has served our needs well and we have taken care of it. Its time for new axles and we were able to call RC. Order axles. They are shipping several weeks ahead of schedule. Very happy customer.

Update: The axles didnt even come close to fitting and RC has no answered any phone calls or emails to even offer ideas.
They are the wrong installed angle and we had to cut out the wheel houses.
My guys did a fantastic job with them but we are waiting to hear back from Dexter about what to do. Cost $15,000 in lost man hours to get the trailer back together. A few measurement requests from us could have avoided it all.

** UPDATE FEB 13, 2023 ***
After several attempts of contacting RC Trailers, I tried one last email and added warranty@ as an email address (I found this on their website). Until then I had always sent emails to info@ which were never responded to.
Within 48 hours (it was a weekend so very acceptable), Patrick contacted me back asking where to send the screws to. They are now on the way NO CHARGE.

I am not sure why info did not respond, but once I was able to get ahold of a person, the situation was resolved extremely quickly.

So, now we go from two to five stars!!!! (just use the warranty@ email to contact them lol)

I purchased this trailer from PJ Trailers in Winnipeg earlier this year (2022). Thus far, it is OK for the most part except that several screws/bolts are missing from the body. We contacted PJ Trailers and they told us to take a screw from the trailer to Home Depot, find one with the same thread, buy them, paint them black and install them.

Not really liking this solution, I emailed RC Trailers to see if I can buy some factory screws. Three emails in the last four months and have yet to have a response.

So, I guess I will have to go to home depot with a screw to find one with the same thread and paint it black.

I wish I could give them 10 Stars. Jenni and the entire staff at RC went way above and beyond what your average company typically would do. We needed some custom builds as well as repairs to another trailer that we had. These guys did excellent work at very affordable prices. We hope they realize what they have in their quality employees. I manage a millwright company and deal with a lot of different companies in the year. These guys will always stick out in my mind. I will recommend this company to anyone that ever asks about a good trailer company. Great job and thank you again RC Trailer!

I’ve purchased and worked on a lot of trailers over the past 7 years. These are the best trailers on the market. You get what you pay for in this industry, so spend a few more bucks and get an RC. They have an economy line to be competitive, but spring for that heavier built trailer and you won’t go wrong.

Great product

We picked up a 24' race trailer from a dealer and the wheel fell completely off after about 400 miles. None of the other lugs were tightened to the proper torque. I can't get anyone to answer the warranty email. Happy trailers did send a new wheel and tire and Dexter axle sent new hub assembly. But trying to even talk with RC trailer about warranty work is impossible.
Update to my original post: RC Trailer has a new warranty person that has responded to my complaints and sent some repair parts at no cost. This person seemed concerned about the issues we had which was much appreciated!

This is an early review but I am posting now to see where this might go in the future. I just purchased a 7x14 enclosed TA trailer today. I received an immediate discount from the dealer location because I noticed a 2-3" diameter puddle of water inside the trailer. After looking it over it was apparent that the roof seam had not been properly sealed and was indeed the source of the warer leak. I took the discounted offer and will seal the unit myself. Another manufacturing and poor assembly find was that the throw latch on the side entry door which should enable one to lock the door from the inside does not at all align with the strike installed on the latch rail. It is misaligned by nearly a half inch. I will also fix this myself. After reading the rest of these reviews I will keep up on the extra maintenance items and pray this is an investment unit and not an item I will need to return.
