Dogs On A Mission

Alex is by far one of the best dog trainers I have come across. Her love of dogs is clear from the first time you meet her. She has helped me with various rescue dogs I've fostered and volunteered her time with the rescue group I was working with. Alex is a genuine person who puts the needs of the dogs first. She is honest and will work with you to make sure you and your dog have the best possible connection. I would not hesitate to recommend her to anyone. My dogs LOVE going to her place!

I believe I have found the dog whisperer Alex at Dogs on a Mission. My dog has a lot of anxiety and behavioural issues so I turned to Alex for her expertise. Alex has a wonderful 5 acre property which is maintained very well and her dogs are so happy and are certainly very well cared for. Alex goes beyond what is expected of a dog trainer. Alex is very knowledgeable about all aspects of dog training and care. Alex loves all of her dogs and treats them like her own. Alex has even came to the vet with me to speak on my behalf to get my dog on his way to overcoming his anxiety and behavioural issues. My dog absolutely adores Alex and feels safe with her. Without Alex, I truly do not know what I would do.

We boarded our boy, a large GSD, with Alex. He doesn’t trust many people and it was great to see him walk off with Alex and not look back. He took to her the first time and this time was no different.

We were gone about 10 days and she communicated with us providing updates. We will definitely leave our boy with Alex again, and I would recommend her hands down.

Dogs On A Mission is our dog's home away from home. Our dog, who dislikes change and is suspicious of new environments and people, immediately took a liking to Alex and her property. Alex quickly established a rapport with our dog with her firm but gentle way with him. We rest easy while we are away, knowing our pup is being well cared for and that he loves the attention he receives from Alex. I can't recommend Dogs On A Mission highly enough!

We never book a vacation without checking on Alex's availability first. Our rescue yorkiepoodle LOVES the farm dog life and runs inside without looking back whenever we leave her there (once or twice a year). This is a dog that puts breaks on at the door when we try to bring her to a store/daycare/someone's house.

I can’t say enough..... Alex provides top notch individualized care for each and every dog. Her understanding of dogs and their behaviour ensures that all dogs settle in and are soon at home. She spends quality time with each dog making sure they are getting the best experience. My dog knows whenever we drive by her place and whines with disappointment if we don’t stop. Highly recommend!

Alex is an incredible lady, you couldn’t find a better lady to take care of your four legged best friends. She’s very knowledgeable and caring, she goes to great length to ensure our buddies are in the best care possible. She understands their needs and behaviours, it’s second nature to her. I’m very grateful for meeting Alex.

Meeting Alex at Dogs on a Mission is the best thing that's ever happened to our dog Sammy. Sammy is a very shy and nervous dog in city. Alex helped us come up with a training strategy to help Sammy, including boarding, daycare, and a plan at home to help Sammy deal with the stress. We can see how Alex truly cares about Sammy's wellbeing, and that translates to his improvement and happiness. Sammy is truly happy at Dogs on a Mission.We can't wait to try out their board & train program soon.

Nigel has been a regular guest at Dogs On A Mission for daycare and boarding since he was a puppy. He loves Alex and playing with all his buddies. And we have peace of mind knowing that he is well looked after.

I would love to be able to give a review on her training abilities, however; I couldn't even get her to reply to my many emails about her service. Has been fairly frustrating trying to get in touch with her. Can't just be good with dogs, you have to be able to handle the customer service side, and in my opinion it is lacking.
