Village Books

An absolute gem of a bookstore! I came in here a while back to see if they happened to have the special edition of Iron Flame and fell in love with the shop! A wonderful selection of unique books, trending books, and children's books. They even helped me set up a pre order for another book coming out at the end of this month. They also host such fun events! Do yourself a favor and check out this wonderful store.

A place willing to go the extra mile, ordering books when needed, but even more, sharing local knowledge with the community. Don't miss the new Young Urban Naturalists Club for kids ages 6 to 10! The March 24 (2024) event will help kids learn the importance of birds in our life as the February one did about insects! What a hoot that was with the kids learning about insect eyes by looking through the "Fly Eyes" glasses. Sign up in the store for more details about March event. Only 12 participants plus their adult.

This is a hidden gem! Love the atmosphere and the great books and other accessories. Thoroughly enjoy the local authors that they showcase. Staff and owner are amazing!

This is a small and charming place to browse for books. They have a more general selection, but you'll likely find something you're interested in. There's also gifts, journals and other small items for writers and readers. Staff is friendly and interested in you and what you're looking for. Not open in late evenings, so make this an afternoon stop if you're running errands or doing some gift shopping. This location is in a strip center, so parking is per usual there.

Locally owned and operated Village Books is the sweetest thing!

We stumbled upon this delightful bookshop last week when we found ourselves with an hour to kill in New Magnolia. I'd heard of it before, but I *assumed* it was a chain store. It's not! It's precious and sweet and the owner Teresa works there herself five days a week with her lovely dog, Oso.

Village Books hosts regular events like book signings and story times. They have a room in the back where you can relax and read. My kids could have hung out there for hours. We'll definitely be back!

Awesome little independent bookstore. Large selection of books and the ever favorite, blind book date. They are setup for Xmas now and will supposedly have blind present books for kids. Amazing atmosphere and always a joy as the staff is very helpful.

This book store is so lovely! I just bought two new books and I'm super excited to read them. My friends and I try to shop at local stores and I've already recommended village books to them. The atmosphere is so warm and the selection is varied but not so large it becomes overwhelming. Good sales and rewarding opportunities for donating to good causes!! Box sets of series and fun gifts are available too!

Such a cute bookshop! I came in for the first time today and am so glad I did. I received a warm welcome and was offered help if I needed it. There was a fantastic selection of books. I left with one and pre ordered another from them to pick up! 10/10 recommend this store and I can’t wait to go back 😊

This gem of a store is exactly what I missed in my early years of living in The Woodlands. There's nothing like going to our local bookshop and speaking to the owner and staff about their suggested readings, gift ideas, author events and more. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable, and I've gotten gift recommendations based on describing the recipient's reading style and personality! They carry the classics, NYT best sellers, and everything in between. If they don't have it, they will order it for you! Support local and check it out - I'm so glad we did :)

This is an adorable bookstore. Owner and staff are very helpful and friendly. My kids love to browse the shelves andalways find something to bring home. If Teresa doesn’t have it she can most likely order it. I ordered the kids school’s recommended summer reading from here. Support local!!

Village Books hosts the coolest and most amazing events! We went to meet with local area author Susan McCauley during the Ghost Stories Around the Fire program. So neat and such a creative way to introduce a new book series to young readers. Bravo, Village Books!

What an unexpected surprise of a little bookstore! I was especially impressed with the collection of self-help / personal development books. More options than they have at any local library and all of the heavy hitters you'd expect in this section. There's a couple of comfy chairs available where you can dive into a book if you'd like! Staff was very friendly and helpful. Prices are good too!

Such friendly service. I’m a school librarian and this business is right by my school. I had an author visit and the owner setup an online store where parents could buy books. I definitely will be returning and supporting my local business. You should too!

I've been shopping here since they opened and have nothing but wonderful things to say! The staff is excellent and so warm. There is always an ever-changing rotation of new, best sellers and even local author selections. It's fun to browse or even put in an order for a selection I'm looking for. I have even purchased gifts from here, made by local residents. Remember big corporations will not suffer from your lack of purchases, so we must support our small businesses as much as possible! This place is amazing. Often times when I have visited larger book stores I find nothing I like. I always tell my wife this is exactly why I order stuff online. Stopped here on a whim looking for a specific book for my wife by Sarah J Maas. We found the book for her, my daughter found a book and I found two books for myself. This book store was charming, had an amazing variety and friendly staff. We will stop shopping the giants online and frequent this local gem instead.
