NHC Somerville

NHC home care therapists & nurses are very professional and kind. We had other home care right after release, but therapists didn’t show up… so, we had to switch to NHC. They always called us in the evening before they came, I appreciate the communications along with cares. I strongly recommend NHC for home care rehab.

I am so impressed with the staff and facility at NHC. Everyone is friendly, helpful and caring. The attention to details is phenomenal. There is no odor, it is clean and beautiful. My mom is there for short term rehab and she is very pleased with her care

Very nice and professional staff. Excellent care. Doesn't smell like some nursing homes I have been to. Grateful for the care they are giving my dad.

The Love , compassion , and clean environment of this home / Rehab well let you rest at night knowing they treat them like they are home and family!

My Uncle was recently there after a heart attack. He is home now, thank goodness. But the reason that he is home and not in a rehabilitation center where he should be is because we can’t trust anywhere after this horrible experience. When he was sent to the E.R. due to a high sugar, his doctor came to see him and was disgusted and appalled (his doctor’s words) with the neglect that was going on. We were unaware, since he had only been there for a couple of weeks we had only visited a couple of times. I can’t help but cry while typing this. He had multiple bedsores. There was place that had began to decay. He ended up going into the hospital with sepsis and a staff infection straight from the E.R.. Literally, this is on top of the fact that they were not providing him insulin when needed, or watching his blood sugar. They might as well have been trying to kill him. My elderly aunt, his wife, who is also not in good health was doing her best to go up there and check on him. But she is was being told this was normal. Now that he is home NHC has started harassing her on the phone for money that they do not owe them. They refuse to give her back his glasses, his wallet, or his dentures until she pays a bill that she doesn’t even owe! On top of all this they are threatening to send her to creditors and to sue her. I looked at the statement today it doesn’t even look like a legitimate statement. There’s no patient ID number there’s no anything on it. It’s just a letterhead with money owed, I can print this off my computer this is awful. This is a terrible experience! They are basically bullying elderly people. My aunt is confused and upset, she doesn’t know what to do. She’s trying to take care of her husband who is home sick and can’t do anything for himself while also being on dialysis herself. I hope that this place gets shut down and I plan on reporting them. I am putting this on a Google review in hopes that no one else puts their loved ones in this place. I don’t understand exactly why they have high reviews but I beg you to look somewhere else.

Not really sure why this home has such high ratings. My grandfather recently had to go to the hospital, and his doctor saw how many bed sores he had. He said that the reason he is in such bad shape is because of the place he is staying at. Super upsetting for my grandmother to hear when we looked over this home so many times, and read all of the reviews. The simple fact is that he is not being taken care of properly, and it’s contributing to his deterioration in health all together.
