Akira Sushi & Ramen

Man, if you like ramen, I found a new place I love! Located inside the Mother Road Market, service was so friendly and helpful!
I ordered the miso ramen with chicken, and let me tell you, they piled lots of the chicken in that bowl! And it’s REAL chicken. Not frozen and reheated! It’s so much food you could technically share it. I also had them make it spicy! It really hit the spot! If I could give them more stars I would. ⭐ ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Visited Mother Road Market with my family and stumble across Akira and decided to try them. I got the tonkotsu ramen with pork belly ( added medium spice) and salmon sashimi. The ramen was rich and flavorful. They gave more pork and vegetables than most other ramen place. The salmon was surprisingly good coming from a food court sushi place. It had a creamy fatty texture. Definitely will try again when I can't decide on what to eat at the market.

Excellent makimono, no matter what you choose! My favorite is the smoked salmon dead head roll for a little spice, and the tuna and yellowtail taste fresh every day.

Great sushi and ramen option at Mother Road! I ordered the Sunshine Roll and the Tonkotsu Pork Ramen.

Sunshine roll was simple and delicious. Sushi rice tasted great and the fish was perfect.

The Ramen had very generous portions of pork chashu, noodles and veggies. Much more than I’d typically expect. The pork chashu (4 slices) was spectacular. The broth was more creamy than I’m used to, but was still great. The only real knock against the ramen was that the half egg was hard boiled all the way through. That may have been an intentional style difference, but I strongly prefer the soft boiled egg instead.

The Spicy Tonkatsu Ramen is great! Not the best Ramen you can find in Tulsa, but at least top 5 in my opinion. I was surprised to see this rated below Kazama. Akira ramen blows Kazama out of the water in my opinion.

I had some excellent sushi here last Sunday. I lost my receipt that I needed to turn in for reimbursement. They were so kind to me a week later and sent me a copy! Can't say enough about their excellent customer service!!!
