Main Street Music

Had a wonderful experience this past Friday at Main Street Music! I pre-ordered a CD & vinyl copy of the new Mitch Rowland album. This gave my daughter & I access to his in store performance and signing. Everything was perfect from start to finish. The items that I ordered online arrived quickly & days ahead of the event. The performance on Friday was flawless. The staff there knows how to put on a well organized event at their store. Everyone was very friendly and they all worked together to make it a night to remember. Thank you! We'll definitely be back to visit you again!

This place is a treasure! Two reasons... if you are an audiophile with a passion for vinyl (CDs too!), Main Street Music has a fantastic selection of new and old. Something for everyone. If you're looking to find a new home for your vinyl collection, this is the place. I had a few albums I thought might be worth a few dollars and was pleasantly surprised to get a much better return than expected. It couldn't have been easier: I dropped them off and Pat gave me a call a few days later with an offer of either cash or credit. The offer was more than fair. I came away confident that my collection was in good hands. Thanks to Pat and everyone at Main Street Music!

Always find something! The ambience in the store is fantastic! The owners are lovely people willing to help everyone with their music search. They even lent me a pair of readers when I arrived one day without my glasses.

My favorite record store in the whole country, was lucky enough to move nice and close. They are the friendliest people, they have great stories, love talking to them about music and shows and venues. Always personable and always willing to help you find whatever you’re looking for even if they order it for you. Love it :)

I see sooo much music that I like on CD that I have or had on vinyl. Now I can play them on my Boise or in the car on road trips. Hooray !

Best staff. All-time favorite record store. Great stacks to browse. Great selection. If you're in a hurry, there's the easy grab section by check-out. You can easily find used, new, kinda-new selections that you didn't even realize you were looking for.
Don't forget they have the best Record Store Day events and in-store shows.

Really great employees! Super knowledgeable. They were able to order a vinyl for me. I expected it to take months. Literally took 2 weeks. Great prices too! My new favorite record shop!

GREAT collection of vinyls and CDs. Massive amounts of both with all kinds of eras/genres/etc. You could easily spend a whole day here. Kind, helpful staff as well. A great experience overall!

WOW. This place checked off all the boxes for a perfect record store. The staff really knows a wide array of music, talking to me about artists that I thought no one else knew of. They were extremely helpful in finding what I was looking for while also not being intrusive and annoying. They have a perfect mix of both new and used records, having almost every artist that I love. They also unlike many stores, are very up to date on new releases. Their prices were fair and reasonable, especially for the newer records, which I typically see being marked up way past what they cost on Amazon, but not here. Overall just a great store with great records, and with staff that is helpful, kind, and knowledgeable.

P.S. I bought a King Gizzard and the Lizard Wizard album that was colored and also came with a poster, only priced at around $25. So excited to listen!

One of the best and friendliest shops in Philly, great selection of indie, folk, alternative and a mix of soul, jazz, hip hop with some smatterings of punk and metal. Can not recommend enough.

My son started here almost a year ago. The staff is very friendly and the teachers are wonderful. Very happy with our experience, highly recommend to anyone interested in learning an instrument

I have been going to this store for the past 4/5 months since I moved into the area. Staff is super knowledgeable and friendly, there is a great selection of music, and the prices are extremely fair. Cant recommend this store enough if you are into collecting cd's or vinyl.
