Superior Powder Coating

Great work and friendly service. Small company but excellent quality. I have recommended to several friends and strangers. They do not specialize in rims so I had to do a lil prep work myself (remove tires, weights and valve stems). For the price compared to custom shops (most charge $2000 and up) I don't mind at all.

I have had the privilege of working with Superior PC for at least 8yrs...and I would have to say it has been an absolute pleasure. These guys know their stuff when it comes to cleaning, preparing, and coating all types of metal. Pricing is always competitive and when you need an order expedited they can handle it!

They don't powder coat Rims, Wheels, nor any of the sort.

I had superior powder coat a set of 19" BMW M5 Wheels that had a pretty bad finish on them. I was told they'd need to chemical strip them rather than sandblast to get the best surface quality because the finish was pretty bad, and all in all it'd probably be around $700.

I received a bill of $825, with $585 of that being sand blasting. That's okay, if it's a good job then I can live with the cost. These are nice wheels and you have to pay to play.

I picked up the wheels and the finish looked pretty good, but I should have done a more thorough inspection before taking them home. As shown in the pictures there are very obvious marks on the barrel of the wheel and in the center where the M badge was showing that they didn't actually take off the wheel weights or the sticker before sandblasting, then just peeled it off and sent it into powder coat.

Some of the spots in the barrel look like the adhesive melted off while they were in the powder coat oven and that there was no attempt to fix this. I tried contacting Superior asking them to rework the wheels for me for free, like any reputable machine shop or job shop would, and was told I'd get a call the next day that never came. It's been two weeks and no attempt to fix this issue has been made.

The worst part is that apart from the major obvious mistakes the finish is wonderful! The color is perfect and the majority of the wheels have a beautiful coat on them, but these marks ruin what would otherwise be a masterpiece. I am convinced that if just a little more attention to detail could have truly worked wonders here.

For +$800 go somewhere that will stand behind their work and holds their quality to a higher standard.
