Amazing food and the best margaritas we have had in a long time. The service is top notch. The owner even came out and introduced himself. We started asking questions and he told us his story and vision for the restaurant and how it came to be. You can tell that everybody there cares about your experience and just goes above and beyond. This restaurant is a whole vibe and we loved every second of it we can't wait to go back!

The outside is not much to look at, but when you go in, it's a different story. There is Mexican-American art all over the restaurant. It gives the place authenticity. I had the Carne Asada Plate with a mango lemonade drink. The drink was delicious and I liked the taste of the beef. The food is a bit pricey, but it's worth the trip for the experience. I recommend the Carne Asada Plate with the mango lemonade and a Coke.

Good food good service located in historic Downtown Caldwell. A little on the spendy side.
I did not like that they do not provide chips and salsa with your meal.

I found this little gem while looking for a place to enjoy our 29th wedding anniversary.
We are from California recently moved here and have had our share of flavorless, or canned "Mexican dinners" while here in Idaho so if you are interested in one of those types of places, please do not go here.
I met a gentleman leaving Casa Anejo with one of their shirts on and I asked him how their food was. He said he worked there and was off the clock and could honestly give his opinion of the food and he said "It is really good and I recommend it".
I made reservations for my wife and I here at Casa Anejo. I had another place picked out but they had canceled on us so luckily I found this Casa Anejo.
You walk into an open dining atmosphere with their bar at the back center of the room. Seating is on the side and large tables are in the middle of the room. We were seated promptly and waited on by a pleasant waitress right away. Service was great and what you would expect from a well-run establishment.
We ordered (attached photos) the Sweet Corn Guacamole (I absolutely recommend this when dining there or you will miss out on a great take on fresh guacamole) as well as the flavorful salsa, a Smoked mezcal margarita brought under glass and filled with smoke. The drink was well presented and tasted just as good.
For dinner, we ordered the Tri-Color Asada Burrito (all steak) and a Plain Bean and Cheese Burrito with a side of Fries. Both dishes filled the plate. From start to finish you could tell this was made fresh and with real spices and ingredients that reminded us of some great places in California we have visited. The fries were crispy and had great flavor as well.
After dinner, the staff brought out a nice little dessert to help us celebrate our 29th. The owner stopped by to pay us a visit at the table and congratulate us as well. He shared how they obtain all their ingredients locally including their beef. Compliments to Casa Anejo for having a great-tasting Mexican-style restaurant.
Diner is not inexpensive, however, but if you want great-tasting food, you will not be disappointed.

This is a true gem in the Gem State and definitely worth the drive to Caldwell if you live nearby. Some of the best Mecican food I've ever eaten. My enchiladas were full of flavor. Drink menu is great; try the smoked margaritas. Great atmosphere, service was perfect, decor is modern and stylish.

This place was recommended by a coworker, so I took my family for dinner and what a great little place , food was good , drinks were great and our server was great definitely will recommend this place , price wise I don't think it was that expensive, I paid around $200 for 5 people including dessert, and drinks.

The food was delicious and my husband’s margarita was amazing. This seems like a fun place for dates and/or singles! We had our 2.5 year old with us, and they were accommodating. I believe they have a diaper changing station in the bathroom as well, which is great for those with little tiny ones. Some of the music playing had language we don’t want our son hearing, but other than that it was great.

This is a must visit restaurant, in my opinion. Extraordinary cocktails, outrageously good Mexican/CalMex inspired food. Crazy good tacos, some of the best ribeye I have had this year on their quesadilla. We also tried the nachos that are on special during their happy hour and added some asada... magnificent, even the chips were outstanding. Friendly service, trendy environment, and dedicated ownership blend to make a place that feels like a trendy spot in a large city, but lucky for us, it's in Caldwell.

Pleasantly surprised with this place. The atmosphere is beautiful. Great experience. Servers are very kind. The owner is very nice also and very helpful.
Great food recommendations from the Server Flurintino.
I had 3 asada tacos with rice and beans and personally for me that was filling for a meal. I had also tried the appetizer of guacamole and I loved it because they put plenty of lime in there and very flavorful with the homemade chips.
My husband had the Wet Burrito and that was a massive burrito and a great recommendations for those with big appetite (homemade cheese sauce in there).
My 3 kids also ate here and had rice and bean burrito on kids menu with a side of fries. My other child that is young 3 years old enjoyed the kids chicken taco with fries.
Beautiful experience.
I will be back. :)

A beautiful blend of culture, ambience, delectable plates, and mind-blowing cocktails collide in the most spectacular way! You cannot go wrong with any dish! My favorites are their Carne Asada Fries, Sweet Corn guacamole, their Carne Asada plate, ANY of their tacos!

This place has one of the coolest vibes the owners are super cool and relaxed. The food has never failed us whoever is cooking back there must be adding magic to your dish or something! Your lucky if Jeli is your server she's super quick and accurate with your orders. She's professional and courteous. You are missing out if you haven't tried this place yet!

A bunch of local house cleaning companies got together today for a bit of lunch and some masterminding!!! The food was great, service was superb (thanks Danny) and the atmosphere was nice and relaxing. We got the chance to meet both the owners and WOW!! They are awesome. I will definitely be back and I will be bringing more friends!!!

My family had a fantastic time here! My partner and I had just gotten married and this place was in such a perfect location from the courthouse, we had to go. The whole staff were so welcoming and our waiter, Florentino, was especially awesome! He made us feel so welcome and was so excited for us with our news. He served our party of seven with such friendliness it was like he became apart of our group. Overall, it was a super fun experience.

Not only THAT, the food? Amazing. The drinks? SO good ($5 margarita happy hour (the cucumber one is so refreshing)). The atmosphere, decor, and the staff were all so awesome, I will definitely cone again.

A lovely funky laid back place during the evening that often gets a bit more animated as the evening progresses, this place often gets missed because it's only a block from Amano, but their food and bar are equally good. We went at happy hour which includes 2 for 1 margaritas or beer, and both the regular and mango margaritas were excellent. We also got their nachos that were more of a fork meal than a finger one, but were very tasty, with cheese sauce, guacamole, tomatoes and meat for only $8. They have farm to fork offerings and rotating menus that keep the menu exciting. We tried the birria wonton, which was delightfully crunchy and filled to the brim with birria and creamy cheese, but could have benefitted by a hit of acid to round out the flavors. We also got the Carne asada platter, which had perfectly cooked steak , well seasoned rice and beans and tasty charred vegetables that were well worth the money.

We'll definitely go back and our experience with friends! First, they accommodated a reservation of a very large party of 22-24 during their very busy holiday season. Their crestive menu offered something for everyone in our group. Second, the rest of the restaurant of jammed full of guests yet their customer service was collectively amazing! Mari was especially incredible, tracking our complex orders, multiple drinks, etc. I don't know how she managed to keep us all straight with part of our party at adjacent tables and adults & kids alike moving around to visit, but she did. Thanks for making our night with friends & family a special memory!! I hope your New Year is filled with joy and prosperous

Elegant mexican decorum, pretty and helpful bartender/waitress, jennifer, good drinks with happy hour special, barbecoa was juicy and delicious, shrimp coctail was surprisingly filling and tasted great! There is more than the two shrimp on display, inside the coctail is another ~5 large shrimp marinating in the mixture

This place is not your typical taco joint. It’s definitely an elevated experience. This place is beautifully decorated. The service is amazing. We were greeted by Danny and he was wonderful. Felt like we were talking to an old friend. The drink was amazing. It was called a mango lemonada. Perfect blend of sweetness to the taste of the Tajin and Chamoy. They were dangerously delicious. Could have drank 10 of them easily. My daughter ordered the carne assada fries and it was so tasty. Very fresh ingredients. I ordered the stuffed chilaquiles. It was stuffed with cheese and had very authentic tasting salsa on top. 3 different kinds. My husband had the taco flight and it came with carnitas, chicken and carne assada on it. They were all delicious. My 7 year old had the kids taco plate. It is not pictured but very delicious. For dessert we got the bunwelo Sunday and it’s so good. The vanilla ice cream tasted home made and not store bought. This place is so good and definitely a step up for us. Delicious food that I didn’t feel that you had to drown it in cheese or salsa to enjoy it. You could actually taste the quality of the meat that used and the sauces were definitely home made and not something out of a can. We can’t wait to go back for brunch on Sunday’s. We were told by Danny that on Fridays and Saturdays, in the evening from 9-12 that have a lounge like experience and that sounds like a great date night.

Chic and comfortable interior, really nice staff, and beautiful drinks and food. I had the taco flight (chicken, carnitas, and asada tacos), my husband had the carnitas plate, and we split the nachos. Everything was awesome (it tasted as good as it looks in the photos), but my favorite was the asada taco. We tried a few drinks; the jalapeno mango mule was our favorite!
