Canton Café

Got the special house fried rice and it was great as always. Also the lunch special pork fried rice and mandarin chicken. These are the same dishes we've been ordering for over 30 years and they're always good. The food is great here, not too exciting of a place and the decor has been the same forever. But...the food is always good. Not a great experience, but a great meal.

We stopped in tonight while waiting for the night the light parade to start and man was it a great idea! We had some tasty food the literal BEST eggrolls and fried rice that is drool worthy. The chicken was phenomenal as well but can’t lie the rice and egg rolls were the star of the show!

We did their lunch specials and they were great to feed 2 of us and we even have some left overs!

It was a warm treat on a cold night and we will absolutely be adding it to our routine for the next parade but also as our go to Chinese restaurant 😍

We have been eating here since 2006. Their food never is bad. If you like Cantonese food this is a good place to go.

Can't wait for next Friday!

I haven't had Chinese in forever because I can't find a good place. The food was amazing the egg rol was huge and a very very cheap price. I will be back thank you!!

Love this place. The food was delicious and our server was great.

This was our first time here and based on previous reviews. The restaurant was clean,as were the restrooms. We arrived right when they opened, so they were not busy. By the time we left business had picked up. I ordered the chicken lo mein, when I got it,it was not what I expected. Yasmine our server was great and she let me trade it for something else. Overall, we enjoyed the food and service was great. We will go back.

I've visited Canton every now and then ever since I lived in Idaho as a kid and now as an adult and their food always hits the spot for Asian food, I wish I could give a shout-out to the server that was serving me and my parents but sadly couldn't ask because it seemed busy! Lol, if you're also just looking for a burger to grab they also serve that here as well as other American foods. It's a nice little experience.

The rice was moist and had exceptional taste. The mandarin chicken was moist and not dried out. Our wait staff was really pleasant and attentive.

The family meals feed more than they say they will. A meal for two feeds us for at least another meal. The salad is awesome. The fried rice is delicious and not greasy as might be found in some other restaurants. The sweet and sour sauce goes well with the pork or chicken.
Even the leftovers are great. Good place to eat, just plan to wait for it or call enough in advance, they do make it fresh.

This is the best asian restaurant in caldwell. The food is so delicious and the service is awesome. I recommend the mandarin chicken or the sweet and sour pork.

The waitress was phenomenal. I think her name was Jasmine or something, a total bombshell. The food was pricey but so is everything else. It was $20 for my meal but I tell you hwut I woulda paid double for that mandarin chicken. If you aren't dining here then you've just been making the wrong life choices. I gave it 4 stars only because there's no restaurant in town worth a five star rating, let's be real here. And oh, the waitresses name is Yasmine, wonderful young lady. I change my mind, 5 stars it is.

I've been a customer of the Canton Café for approximately fifteen years. The dining area is simple, but clean. The same goes for the bathrooms. The smell is of Chinese food being cooked. The serving staff is made up entirely of women (if a man is working there I have yet to see him), but they are friendly and professional. Service is prompt and often when I order take-out it's ready before I get there. I have never had an order come to me incomplete or incorrect. My wife is huge fan of the Mandarin Chicken and I like the Moo-Goo-Gai Pan. They also make excellent Won-tons. The Canton has been open in Caldwell for almost fifty years and they are popular. As an employee of the city I am privy to information regarding issues with local businesses and the Canton never pops up on the radar. The Better Business Bureau never hears about any problems as well. Good place.

Recommended to us by Middleton locals, we decided to check it out and was pleasantly surprised. The Crab Rangoon appetizer was delicious and served with a typical sweet & sour sauce. The house fried rice was simply amazing. It was filled with various meats and veggies and not one flavor overpowered the other. The Mandarin chicken was the best I’ve ever eaten. The sauce was your run-of-the-mill sauce but the way the chicken was coated and fried was awesome. It was melt in your mouth good. I see why Canton Cafe is a Caldwell institution...good food, good service, reasonable prices. We will definitely return since there are lot of other menu items to try.
