From the service to the food, excellence is an understatement.
Breakfast was delicious, Mina made us feel right at home. Food was cooked perfectly by Gus, even customizations, and everything came out FAST. Wow!!

Locals are known by name and friendly as they come. Stop in and have a great meal!

The food was delicious! They were friendly and fast. We had the meat lovers omelette and a gyros sandwich.

My dad and I try to visit this diner at least once a week, usually for breakfast. Such friendly and fast service. I love how Mina greets us when we walk through the door and pays special attention to refilling coffee or bringing extra napkins with a smile on her face at all times.

What a charming local restaurant! We enjoyed how clean the restaurant was, the smiling waitress and the food! We had eggs, hash-browns and toast. It was hot, well priced and just what we hoped for. I’d recommend visiting!

The cutest (and yummiest) little hole in the wall breakfast/brunch place! Old school vibes for sure! The food was delicious and the place itself is super clean. Everything is reasonable priced. We will be back!

We’ve been there several times for breakfast. Always delicious. The couple that own it are very friendly and do it all themselves so you’re guaranteed to have great food and service.

Stopped in for something different and pleasantly happy. Very clean and nice seating with comfortable booths. We had breakfast and one ordered soup and sandwich combo. Will be back for sure!

For down home meals in a family atmosphere, this is the place. Gus and Mina have been serving up good food at very reasonable prices for years!

We love this place!! Mina and Gus( the owners) are warm and personable but best of all is the delicious food. I don't know what Gus does to theeggs but they are so buttery. I always order"the dynamite" for breakfast and their split pea soup is outta this world

I can't say enough nice things about Starlight Cafe. Gus and Mina will always make you feel as welcome as can be and serve outstanding home-style meals. I've been a patron for many years and have yet to have a meal that I didn't thoroughly enjoy. It's a delightful place to eat, owned and operated by a truly wonderful, caring couple,. They are only open for breakfast and lunch. Be sure to go there; you won't be disappointed.

How anyone can write a bad review is truly beyond me. I have eaten at the Starlight many many times. The food is always excellent..and the owners are gems. For many years I ate at their former restaurant The Mark on Main St and also only had great experiences.Do yourself a huge favor and have a nice home cooked meal there.

If I could rate this diner a ten I would. If you like small diners you got to go. Breakfast was cooked perfectly. Service was great. I talked to the owners the husband worked at a big 24 hour diner back at my home state that I have been at and that is a great diner. You got to try it out or you are missing out.

I just ate here earlier today and it was the best meal i have ever had. The service was great and the place was busy. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS PLACE TO EVERYONE. THe best food and best service you will ever find in Dunedin.
