Kava DSM

Their foods are healthy and delicious. Ordered a paleo waffle with a scoop of ice cream. Waffle alone was soft and very satisfying, when it’s paired with ice cream, it’s heaven and make me full all day. The amaretto with peach cobbler is one of the best ice cream I’ve ever had.

The Apple crisp smoothie bowl is also really good. Nice presentation and tastes good.

Kava DSM is wonderful - the smoothie bowls are delicious and the environment is beautiful.
It did take longer than expected to get our food though - there was no one in front of us and it took about 20 minutes before we got them, but I guess that can be understood when you see how beautiful the bowls turned out and the effort and time needed for that.

Never been to Des Moines, but this was a super cool stop. DELICIOUS high quality food (had the choco banana smoothie and paleo almond waffle with pina colada topping) with a really chill/cool atmosphere/vibe. Don't come here in a rush, that's not how they operate!

This place is so cute!! The inside is really nicely decorated. Their smoothie bowls are so good and unique! I haven’t had a bad smoothie bowl here. Their coffee is okay I would skip coffee here. They validate your parking slip for an hour which is nice. They also have a big selection of ice cream/ gelato.
I love coming here to work/ study they have a great space for that.

I've had everything here from a mushroom cocoa latté to a smoothie bowl to waffles and their Nourished salads. It's been a year since I first visited and it still remains one of my favorite places in Des Moines.

Love this place. I've been here for business multiple times this year, about 3 months in total, and i make sure to come here. Nice, chill vibe. EXCELLENT MENU. Friendly staff. Their waffle selection is something special. So sad to hear they'll be going out of business, but while they're still around, you gotta show some love. So cute and delicious! Went here on a Sunday morning and it was not as busy as I expected. I had their Banana nut waffle and my friend had one of their smoothie bowls which were both delicious! I also had a iced mocha with oat milk which was also amazing! Most surprising thing was the the pink flower on top actually tasted good as well! Overall friendly staff beautiful environment and a great breakfast spot!

I would move here for this place. We stopped by several times during vacation and loved it. There are a lot of food and drink options that we really enjoyed, especially the gelato. One of the best vibes and hang out spaces. Highly recommend!!

What a delicious treat! A unique menu with Smoothie Bowls, Togo lunches, gelato, waffle creations, a coffee bar and a whole lot more. The staff was friendly and knowledgeable. Everything we tried was wonderful. KavaDSM is worth checking

I absolutely loved this place. As someone who practices clean eating, I wish there were more places like this in Des Moines. I had the Chai Tea Latte with Coconut Milk, mushroom blend, and Kava. I also had the Sunkissed Bowl with GF granola and coconut whip. Excellent food and service.

One of my favorite things about Kava is the location, I am on the south side and to find a quiet spot to chill and do some work on my laptop while eating a delicious açaí bowl. I love the look and feel inside, the chairs and tables or comfy and i love having work meetings here, the staff is okay and could be more greatable but other than that it's such a cool spot for des moines to have.

The menu is amazing and the staff/owner are so gracious. They have an spacious seating situation and patio. I loved the coffee brewer they had out on display. Just a beautiful place to relax and nourish yourself.

Ever since i stepped foot in kava my first time, i loved it! The food & drinks are delicious and wonderful. the atmosphere and energy inside is always pleasant. it’s delightful to relax inside, work, do anything really. employees are always so sweet and will help with anything. love kava!! so sad it’s closing

i tried the strawberry almond oat milk gelato awhile ago and it was the best thing ever! i love this place because everything tastes amazing and there is multiple non dairy options.

My wife and daughter are still sitting here enjoying their order but was felt lead to leave a review before I proceed with my day. The Lox Waffle Toast changed me. I was a bit skeptical as waffles conjure thoughts of syrup and sweetness and I am more of a savory person. This plate redefined what it is to enjoy a meal. I have never eaten something this delicious for brunch, ever. From the light and wonderful texture of the Paleo waffle to the savory cream cheese and accoutrements with the salmon, was phenomenal. I must now figure a means to afford this dish on a regular basis. Euphoria that can be enjoyed slowly with a fork and knife. Amazing!

Very relaxing atmosphere. The smoothie bowls were tasty, nutritious, and went well presented.
Coffee was strong and robust.

Kava DSM is a dreamy cafe!!! So far my top cafe to chill and hang out for date night or a group of friends.

Kava is a hidden gem right now that needs to be talked about more.

I absolutely love the environment and all their goodies.
Service is wonderful too.

Delicious and nutritious.My family and I are so happy to experience Kava and it’s beautiful scenery. We all have different food intolerances and preferences and Kava meets all that we like and can enjoy!!!
