The best place after a surfing session! I’m from Italy and It was my first time in Huntington Beach. I was looking for a place for breakfast/brunch and here I found a great atmosphere and a lot of kindness. The burrito was big, tasty and amazing, served with smashed potatoes. I was so full and satisfied. The location is perfect and I really liked the staff. You can’t miss it if you are around!

Great place for kids and just to meet up. Bathroom is clean, food is fresh, atmosphere is great and overall, this is a great breakfast place. Sometimes there’s a wait but none today. Workers are really nice and if you’re hungry after a good surf, this is a great spot. Place looks clean and shirts are a good price. Overall I would give this an easy 10/10.

French toast is my childhood favorite! Loved it as a kid here and still do as an adult! They always have nailed it and if you like raisin bread then go for the Peggy’s French toast.

Excellent breakfast place for a morning visit to Huntington Beach. Small interior but spacious outside seating. Try out the main street omelettes. The fruit bowl was really fresh. Timely service even with a decent crowd.

Great place for a hearty breakfast. Portions are huge, perfect stop to refule for my bike ride back home. Wife said the fresh toast is top notch.

Sugar Shack Cafe is just outstanding! First of all, I called a few weeks before our visit to Huntington Beach to find out about gluten-free or gluten-friendly options and they were very helpful. When we finally did visit, our first visit was excellent and our second visit was even better! It was pretty busy yesterday and our server, Julia, handled it smoothly and was very friendly and helpful, an excellent server. This morning we had the pleasure of being served by (I think the owner/manager Ryan), who was warm and welcoming and friendly. Really made us feel comfortable. And his wife (I don’t think we got her name, sadly) took over service this morning and she was awesome, too. Very friendly, welcoming, and great with the coffee refills and everything else.

The food was EXCELLENT. I know, you might be thinking how excited can you get about breakfast, but it was great. Coffee was delicious, bacon was crispy, eggs were fluffy, hash browns were particularly good - crispy, not the least bit greasy, just great! And the eggs Benedict (day two, this morning) were out of this world! First of all, I’ve almost never had an eggs Benedict dish come out hot, in any restaurant, ever, but here it came out hot! And the Hollandaise was great, not too lemony, smooth as silk; the ham was tasty, too! Nice English muffin too. Just the perfect eggs Benedict.

PLUS - and a BIG plus for my wife and me - it’s open at 6 AM! And I love the ambiance with the surf photos on the walls, and it’s small but comfortable inside. And you CAN eat outside if you want.

To me, this is the exact kind of breakfast experience you want, and I’m happy to support this business and highly recommend it to others!

Staff was friendly with great energy and attitude. They worked well together... a very cohesive team. Service was quick and efficient. To top it off, the food was fantastic! We're from Maine, but if we ever return to Huntington Beach, we'll be back here for breakfast!

Cruising the PCH, I got hungry for some breakfast. The place was busy, and it was a weekday. I walked in through the back alley and grabbed an available table. I was promptly given a menu and asked what I wanted to drink. I got my drink and ordered my food. Pancakes, eggs, and two sausages, pork and veggie. The food was great, the pork sausage, outstanding! I was not a big fan of the veggie sausage. I got out and back on my way.

This place was great! The atmosphere was nice, it’s really close to the ocean. I got an omelette with hash browns and sausage. Everything was delicious. The thing that was most impressive was how fast they got us our food. We went on a Saturday morning so it was really busy but we had all our food in probably under 10 minutes. We were all very surprised by their speed. Overall, nice staff, speedy service, and great food. Definitely recommend it.

Photos of the pier...the sugar shack restaurant is just a couple streets north of the pier... with great food and outdoor seating, I love coming here for breakfast.

Very friendly staff and delicious food! They have inside and outdoor seating but no pets are allowed inside. It was getting a little busy by the time we left ~10am but worth the wait! Great breakfast stop. Yummy hot sauce too.

The service here is amazing and friendly. You feel at home. The food was ready in a flash and was quite tasty, not overly expensive and a perfect portion. I highly recommend coming here.

Great breakfast. Sat outside, and people watched while soaking up the sunshine and salt air. The fried potatoes and hot sauce are delish!

Came here for breakfast after a jog. Max helped us out right away and was so friendly and helpful. The food come out quickly and was delicious! I had an amazing experience and will definitely be coming back! The bacon avocado cheese omelette was the bomb.

Shack Shack Cafe hit the B-Spot for breakfast on our Huntington Beach road trip. The location on the Main street is perfect. After a short walk from the hotel we settled in for an outdoor breakfast Street side. I had Street Omelet and she had the French. Needless to say we shared and it was delightful. Can't wait to go back.
