Metta Cafe has the absolute best and healthiest food you'll find in all of Ashland City, TN! There is always something new to try with their constantly changing specials and baked goods. Everything at Metta is made from scratch with the best ingredients and plenty of love. You can tell with every bite. The atmosphere and staff are both comforting and welcoming. With an inside countertop eating area and a few outside bistro tables for a more personal dining experience. There is even a grab-n-go station for those of us constantly on the move with no time to sit and eat. Today, I snagged the most delectable shrimp salad from that station. It certainly was not disappointing! Stop by Metta Cafe in Ashland City for the best breakfast or lunch around!!!

I am super happy with this quality cafe addition to growing Ashland City. Metta Café is a small café that delivers great flavor. It is a must-stop if you care about what you eat since they are not your average cafe. Everything is meticulously prepared in front of the customers by Chef Akshay Soni and his crew. They do have a great grab-and-go selection if you are in a hurry and can’t wait for your meal to be made to order. I have tried their chocolate and plain croissants, walnut chocolate chip giant cookies, blueberry crumble cake muffin, lamb pastry, chicken Caesar salad, the 90 Miles and Turkey sandwiches, energy bites, and hummus. I loved every single one of them so far! Today, I tried while waiting for my bacon, egg, and cheddar breakfast biscuit, Chef Ashkay's take on the traditional Lorraine quiche, and his version was superb! It had basil, my favorite herb, thinly sliced zucchini, mushrooms, ham, and, of course, eggs and cheese. Please don't go by the menu since they always have something new to offer. The whole crew is super friendly and welcoming, and I sincerely hope this brings more quality restaurants and cafes to our town run by passionate chefs like Chef Ashkay.

So nice to have a cafe offering a touch of Greek flare! The food? Don’t get me started. You may pay a little more but it’s more than worth it. It is full of flavor, filling, and healthy. I’m good sensitive having to be careful about what all I eat.

Cute little place downtown Ashland City. At first, I thought it was pretty pricey, but I was willing to give it a try. I'm so glad I did. I got the BLT and added chicken. First of all, you can tell the ingredients are top notch, high quality. The sous vide chicken was tender and flavorful, and the sandwich was very large. The cashier was very friendly and knowledgeable and was very quick to accommodate my special request. The chef himself, delivered my sandwich with a smile and a thank you. I had a delicious lunch and will definitely be back. High quality ingredients, excellent service, and excellent flavor were definitely worth the price point. A fantastic addition to Ashland City, and a nice change of taste from the other restaurants in the area.

Great food! This place is a hidden gem with people taking pride in the food they serve. With Ashland City being almost a self imposed food desert (seriously, we’re 15 miles from one of the fasting growing cities in America, why isn’t this town capitalizing on it?) it is incredibly nice to see someone running a spot that focuses on quality. The curry chicken salad is unbelievably good.

Best BLT I have had in ages. Looking forward to trying all items on the sandwich list. The grab-n-goes are a real treat too! Great addition to downtown Ashland City. Really changes the atmosphere near the river!

I’ve eaten here three times and it’s been amazingly delicious every time!

I had the Mediterranean sandwich twice, their biscuits are legit, and the curry chicken sandwich is somehow juicy and mouthwatering but stays together between 2 slices of perfect sourdough toast.

Best bacon I’ve ever had on a sandwich.

The flavors are complex but not overly intense, and you can tell that care goes into every creation from ingredient selection to presentation.

I wish they had a larger seating area but I’ve been happy to sit at the little bar during off hours or take it to go and enjoy at river bluff park down the street if it’s busy.

Great customer service too, friendly staff, I hope they thrive here! Beyond pleased.

We stopped by after a walk on the greenway and were pleasantly surprised by this gem. I ordered a bacon, egg, and cheese croissant which was fresh and flavorful. I don’t live in this area however I will definitely go out of my way to eat here again!

Best restaurant in Ashland City. Quality ingredients, beautiful presentation, fair pricing and friendly atmosphere. I like the grab-and-go cooler and the made to order food is made fast; so definitely a great place to grab food on lunch break or in a rush. The cookies are to die for. The Chef is really sweet, gives samples and answers all questions. I highly recommend this place.

Though the size of the cafe is small, the taste of the food and hospitality of the staff makes the experience worth sitting inside. They offer a rotation menu in addition to their standard menu, allowing regulars to eat the favorites, but offering new experiences for all customers.

Hope to see one of these pop up somewhere else!

A very enjoyable experience - I had the mediterranean panini, everything was fresh and made from scratch; absolutely delicious with a multitude of ingredients cooked perfectly and with care. A big enough sandwich for two of my meals. The large, soft walnut and chocolate chip cookie baked in house was shareable and delectable.
The time it took to make the fresh panini was passed quickly with friendly conversation from the owner. Will be returning!

Wow. Everything here is incredibly fresh and tasty. Very friendly owner and staff. The smoked jerk chicken was the best I've ever had. So glad to have a place like this in Ashland City.

I loved the energy balls, the chocolate chip cookie and the hummus! The owner is super passionate about clean non GMO and fresh ingredients! If you enjoy eating hummus you have to try their homemade hummus with the Greek olive oil! Its fluffy, light, nutty texture melts in your mouth! Would definitely stop by soon to try some of their sandwiches! Thank you Metta Cafe for bring a unique taste to Ashland City!

I love it. You can tell he cares about the food he makes, and genuinely appreciates his customers. The sausage rolls, coffee, and chocolate chip cookies are delicious and well worth the price. I will be a repeat customer for a long time. Yes, it’s small, but I can appreciate him making the space work for the operation he’s running. So we recently had Metta Cafe cater our holiday party. I can not say enough about the food. My wife and I have never been to Metta Cafe, but we will now. The catered food was so good

I love the 90 mile sandwich! It is amazing. It's nice having somewhere in Ashland City where the food is worth the price. Fresh ingredients, great customer service, incredible taste, great presentation (insta worthy) even when you order Togo. Can't wait to come back.

Metta is such a welcome addition to a town overrun with fast food. Everything is high quality, delicious, and ingredients are always fresh. The owner is always such a joy and you can tell he takes a ton of pride in his craft, both in the way he serves customers and in the food itself. I love the turkey sandwiches, whipped feta, and grain bowls, but everything we’ve ever had here has been amazing! If you’re looking for a healthy and filling option, you can’t go wrong at Metta. Everyone complaining that it’s “too pricey” - you get what you pay for, and here you can definitely taste the high quality, go to Subway if you want your $6 trash. Thank you Metta for finally bringing some delicious and healthy options to town!

Metta makes most, if not everything, from scratch, meaning your food is given time and attention instead of being simply thrown together from different bags. May cost a little more, but it’s worth it. Check out their dips, desserts, and other items on top of their sandwiches. Owner is always helpful and wants you to be happy with your product. They sell out of many of the dips and side items early because they are so good. They don’t have infinite amounts either because they cook things the right way and have quality over quantity. Highly recommend the place.
