Southern Septic

Had a septic system installed. Couldn't have gone any better. Southern Septic took care of everything, permits having the water and electric lines marked. They arrived in the morning and were done that day. The job came in a good bit under what the estimate was. I have already recommended them to a neighbor. This is what a small town company is supposed to be. Thanks Southern Septic!

I don’t know why this company does not have many reviews, they do outstanding work and go above and beyond for their customers, 8 months ago I had a septic nightmare on my hands, had just purchased a home only to immediately have issues with the septic and found out it was illegally installed and needed to be corrected. I called a local Princeton Kentucky septic guy who gave me a high quote and was too lazy to show up and do the work never returned my calls, I tried for months to find somebody to show up to no avail. Finally I got in contact with Southern Septic, they sent a guy out the next day and had an estimate for me 1000 dollars cheaper than the other guy who never showed up. I agreed to the services and they had a new septic installed shortly after. It doesn’t end there with this great company, shortly after install, it rained for dang near three months straight making the trip to come back out and level the dirt out with equipment impossible. I called them up when it finally stopped raining and dried out, he was out the next day leveling everything out and making it all look nice FOR NO EXTRA CHARGE! I highly recommend this company for all your septic needs, especially if you live in Princeton Kentucky! Hands down a very polite, professional, courteous, and timely company! I rarely post reviews, but this company saved my bacon this past Saturday. I am new to septic systems and discovered our downstairs toilet would not flush. I called Southern Septic, and two guys were out to my house with an excavator and tanker truck in less than two hours on a Saturday morning. The problem was routine, and they had my tank suctioned before noon. THANK YOU Southern Septic!

More expensive than another quote we had received about pipe replacement (cast iron to PVC). But here's where the old saying "get what you pay for" comes into play immensely.
We paid more for a crew that wanted the job and wanted to help us. Showed up an hour after I had called to ask about them doing a quote and came out the next day to get the job done. A total of half a day is all it took them to do it. Something I thought was going to be roughly a 2 day nightmare turned into a half day breeze. These guys know what they are doing and take care of their customers. I had heard some iffy things about SS, but was proven wrong in less than two days time. Think about this if you ever find yourself in a situation where my family and I were; do you want quality and care, or someone who gives you the runaround and doesn't really care to help you?
That's the decision we were left with. That's where SS came in and saved the day for us and another company lost out on the job.

Having a drainage problem. Called in the morning and within a hour they were here! I bought the property about 4 years ago and had no idea where the septic tank was. I never had a septic tank. They found the tank and the problem in ,15 minutes! A hour later they were done!! Great service very professional will definitely call them again!

The team pumped out the septic tank. They were prompt, professional, and friendly. They helped me understand the problem and what to do to avoid the issue in the future. I would definitely use the again. Thanks for the help.

Great people

Sent a crew out at an emergency rate who misdiagnosed our issue. Instead of pumping that day they said we have to wait for excavation equipment to "repair the line". After using public restrooms for the holidays with our family in town while waiting for their equiptment to repair our line they finally showed back up a week later and discovered that the emergency crew checked the wrong tank and all that it needed was in fact a pumping. This company has been to our home before so I am not sure how they didnt open the 2nd tank of the 2 tank system which holds the solids. Anyways our bill came and it was over $1400, $625 of which was the emergency fee where nothing was fixed and they also charged us for the excavating which we did not end up needing. We called the owner, Tug multiple times and he kept saying he would adjust the bill for the error. Finally today my husband reached them and he refused to remove the $625 emergency fee to where they came out and did no pumping, just misdiagnosed the issue and told us to wait for equiptment. He did remove the excavation fees since we didn't use that service though all in all we paid $1050 to have a simple septic pumping a week or so after our first call which could have been done the initial emergency visit and avoided using public restrooms with our entire family over this holidays. I will look elsewhere in the future and very disappointed in how this was handled. We have used this company for previous pumpings, to install my husband's septic for his shop, and to pump my mom's RV tanks, and for termite bond for the newly built shop. Will not be using Southern's services in the future after this experience.
