Provisions Natural Foods Market

On our first trip to Water Mill we stopped at Provisions. Instantly our pace slowed down as we walked around the store. It has a country vibe, noticeably clean, soft lighting, stocked with a variety of high quality products and a Coffee / Tea bar with grab-n-go items.
I had a few questions about a skin product and Jen, a genuine kind, helpful lady, assisted us. She took the time to explain the ingredients in several products and truly wanted to help.
We were so happy with our experience and purchases and will definitely return.

I agree with the first 90% of reviewers who gave a five star review.

Provisions is an organic smoothie bistro and restaurant , organic grocery store and a vitamin store.

The cafe/restaurant area upstairs was excellent (lots of tables and windows). I used my phone as a hotspot, but their appeared to be wifi.

The bathroom was an A+

I had a boxed salad from their refrigerated area. It was huge, tasty, and fresh.

Prices were higher than many cafes but similar to a regular restaurant

It is really hard to judge if the price is too high for a small business without knowing inputs like local labor costs, rent, insurance, workers comp, lack of economies of scale , the focus on organic, and if the workers are being paid a living wage....thinking about all these things. I would venture to say we are being undercharged, and we are lucky this place is open.

If you think about the decisions restaurants have to make (spend more on ingredients or feed people pesticides ... you know you are going to eat pesticides next time you go out to eat and they are going to pocket an extra dollar per meal.

Add in the decisions most restauranteers havent evolved to consider, PBA's and teflon coming off their cookware, excess sodium and sugar in their food etc.....

It's worth a few extra dollars to know Im not eating something damaging to my body.

If we are going to fight cancer and obesity and someone stands up and tries a shop focused on prevention ....let's do what's in our body's and our nation's interest and spend the few extra dollars.

The workers seemed very professional but slightly reserved.

Grocery prices are similar to whole foods and i think cheaper than citarella.

Selection and speed
I could get all my food here in a third the time (condiments. meat, milk, veggies , fruit, bread )
No big candy display to entice your kids saves time and stress.

I figure not getting cancer from pesticides is the best luxury and the best monetary investment i can make. :)..

Nice organized place on the go.

The food selection is good. The only down side is that you are most definitely paying a premium. It makes it difficult to live and eat healthy when most people can not afford natural food...Nasty cycle this country is caught in.

I love provisions watermill! Every time i need something to make my wonderful creations they have what i need! Other places locally dont have the same variety and I thank you provisions for being that "go to" store for me.

Great new addition to the neighborhood. Try the all natural homemade soups! Can’t wait to go back.

Awesome bread selection.

Just spent $10 on raw “ poached “ eggs with a soggy piece of bread . I am disgusted , not coming back . Will come by later for a refund .

Sorry but the food is very overpriced and tastes terrible. Sag Harbor location might have better menu and cooks maybe. Quesadilla with chicken, beans, and still cold cheese slices for 17 dollars. At Sag they actually give you sides like guac for this price but I just got a huge cup of dressing for a very small salad. Also the upstairs seating is not well kept. Nasty sauce covering all bottles. Then went to bathroom to rinse the filth you'll find on any surface and they refilled the handwash with likely 5% soap 95% water.
