ACME Markets

Our smoke alarm battery had died. The unit was hard wired but it still beeped because the backup battery was weak. Tomorrow we are expecting a Nor Easter. We dashed to A me at 9:50 and got there at 10:00. Mimi was leaving and said they were closed. We told her about the smoke alarm and she opened the store for us. We grabbed the batteries and she suggested pizza ( because of the storm). We grabbed three pizzas, thanked her profusely and went home to wrangle the alarm. She was amazing, and totally helped us out for our “girls weekend”

Something changed at this store. The customer service was excellent today! While I was trying to navigate my shopping list and locate items one of Acmes associates noticed and asked if he could help. Thank you Mike! He actually found everything I needed and was pleasant and happy to help. Great customer service.
Others employees were nice to deal with also today.
This was the first time in the 3 months that we have been here that we weren't disappointed or aggravated with this store.

Mimi is an incredible employee of Acme. She always has a warm, genuine smile, beautiful charm, and always makes my family & I feel very welcomed there. If only we could all be as non judgemental, friendly, & kind...the world would certainly be a much different place. Thank you Mimi for breathing new life into the doldrums of grocery shopping!

UPDATED REVIEW: Originally gave this place 2 stars due to issues with management updating the store times and overall care of the store. The new manager Mimi is amazing, she has completely overhauled the customer experience and I love talking to her. Very helpful and customer oriented.

Only grocery store on island and consistently good service and sales/specials. Parking can be tricky but you just have to be patient (or smart about when you go). Well run and employees actually care. Can’t go wrong.

Always well-stocked with friendly staff and convenient hours. Some prices are marked up for on-island convenience, but for most items it's worth saving the hassle of trekking to the mainland.

This small little acme is absolutely wonderful. Despite it's small size they are able to pack a lot if items and keep them in stock and the staff are super nice and helpful. Not to mention their store looks very modern and well kept. In short, if acme took a page out this ones book, acme would actually be able to actively compete with shoprite

With construction on Avalon Blvd causing 30 minute waits, it was much faster to scoot over the bridge from Avalon to Sea Isle to visit their Acme market. Well stocked, with lots of parking and friendly staff, this market is closer than the RT 9 ACME. Plus there's a bait shop next door. Sold.

If you shopped the Acme in SIC before Sandy, you know the transformation that has occurred here. So much more, so much better. A great store to stock up at or just run in.

An abundantly stocked store. Good appearance, well lit, clean and helpful friendly staff. Location is the key and ACME has it here. This store is only a short walk from everything in Sea Isle and they have it!

Acme all over Cape May Country, NJ. I usually go to Seaville/Ocean View store. It is clean and bright. Good selection of products. Tom in seafood is a delight and the fresh meat staff and very helpful. One of the few places that you can get meat cut to you request at no additional charge. And the meat is well trimmed and tasty. Bakery does cakes for birthdays and will add sentiment and name for free. Some to imes the cashier's are understaffed and lines do form. My favorite store my far. Pharmacy on premises.

Good store to do your grocery shopping at the shore. Some non typical items which is nice. Very clean, neat and tidy! Love the renovations.

This is a great place to shop on vacation. while there’s some higher costs on some items, prices are good for being on the island. The meat, seafood and produce are fresh and hign quality.

They had everything I needed and the staff is very helpful in finding something this not regular acme was in the area picked some items that needed store was very clean and stocked

Decent selection of grocery items and fresh produce. Definitely a place to go to get ingredients for a home-cooked meal instead of dining out and paying top dollar for food.

Acme's are always great. This one is well stocked. The best part is the friendly knowledge employees.
