My wife and I stopped here after going to church. It is a nice little winery, with free tastings. Kasey was very informative about the history of the winery. Her ancestors were the ones who started it 3 generations ago. The winery has a diverse selection of wines. All of the wines we sampled were delicious. The tasting room and store, were hand dug out of the hill. Give it a try, you will be glad you did.

Ms. Peggy is reason enough to stop for an hour or two. Fourth generation wine maker whokows all about the area, the grapes, the wine making, everything! The tasting room is in an old storm cellar which gives it super cool character. They have a wide variety of wines, even a port, and average price is around $10.

What a pleasure to visit this local treasure. 7 generations have kept this family business alive. The matriarch started making wine and her 12 kids took it over. During prohibition "Mom" kept making wine and actually wound up in Jail and later was pardoned by the Arkansas Govenor. Excellent history in the area GREAT, FRIENDLY People.

A MUST stop! Visit with Ms. Peggy a while and get the best tasting wines to take home with you, plus a t-shirt or two. The blackberry is my favorite. Grab a case or two so you have plenty for gift giving.

Awesome winery! Very friendly and nice! Free tastings. We found several wines we loved the Plum and Elderberry wines. Also loved the blush and red muscadime wine.

Best winery in the area, by far. The grounds are clean, and the buildings are original, including the family home that has been passed down through generations. The gift shop was attended by a family member, who was very nice and told us a great story of the family history. This is the only winery where we liked every wine we tasted, literally. I only wish we had visited this one first!

November 8, 2021 we visited the winery. Thoroughly enjoyed the old world style gift store and wine tasting. Peggy is a wonderful hostess with amazing knowledge not only in wines but also in the history and the area surrounding Mt. Bethel.. We recommend a visit.

This was by far my favorite winery in Altus! The lady was super nice, the wines were so good and the prices were great! We will be back for sure! Big Daddy's is what I went home with and my wife got Blush Muscadine. If you're up in Altus, definitely stop by and check them out!

Of all the winery’s in the area, this one is my favorite. I’m not big on sweet wine and they have a nice couple of options that aren’t sweet. The grounds are antique and the horses are beautiful. We like to set in the chairs under the big pecan tree and watch the horses. Give yourself some extra time at this location!

I want to start off this review by saying that I am not a wine drinker, but I did enjoy tasting the wines. I tasted wines made from grapes, muscadines, blueberries, strawberries, raspberries, plums, and elderberries and I liked all of the ones I tasted. I mostly stayed clear of the drier varieties of wines, but they have them also if that's your thing. The friendly lady pouring the wines is a fourth generation wine maker and she told a history of the winery and other local wineries. You can taste all the wines on the list and the prices are very fair with most bottles less than $10.

Delicious port...plan to bring home a bottle of Big Daddy. Elderberry wine was an unexpected treat. Oldest winery in Arkansas and you can tell they know what they are doing. Good prices. Well worth the trip out.

Peggy was a hoot and so interesting to spend time with. She has lots of stories and history and is quite the character. This was an absolute highlight of our week driving through Arkansas. This is a winery where the tasting room is in the old wine cellar so it's much more "earthy" and "rustic" but just beautiful. The wines were really goo too but we were really into the stories and talking to Peggy. The Vignoles wine was my favorite. If you are up for an experience instead of just another winery, this is you place! Thanks Peggy !

Excellent experience at Mount Bethel today with my family. I can't remember the staff members name but she was AMAZING from the moment we walked in to the moment we walked out. Really enjoyed her knowledge and experience. If your in the area you should stop by, you can thank me later! LOL!

Wonderful little winery in a beautiful farm setting. The tasting room is a cellar type decor. They poured a great variety of wines for us and gave us a tour of the facility. Enjoyed the fruit wines and the stories they shared about the difficulties in making the fruit wines.
