Mercy Hospital Booneville

Amazing staff! Such good care! Above average by far and Er Dr. Edwards brings the combination of intelligence and bed side manor to the forefront. Very pleased with the care my son has received today.

I have been to the hospital every month for probably six months now and once on a walk-in "semi" emergency visit. I have never experienced anything but top notch service. The staff goes to great effort to see that everything proceeds smoothly and I am "in and out" amazing quickly. I am very grateful to have a hospital in our little rural town. Thank you.

We have had a five star experience with the Mercy Hospital in Booneville. Everyone that has helped our Dad has been extremely kind and compassionate. I can highly recommend this hospital from personal experience. Thank you to all the excellent staff there. We are most grateful!

First of all, the staff is very friendly. It's not the staff that needs to be changed, it's the culture. You have a small town hospital with long time employees that are just set in their ways and probably have younger bosses that they just don't want to listen to or just won't. I've had two procedures done in a year and have lived in or around this town hospital all my life. I've seen very bad years and good years. I like to get to places early and got their early to pay my bills due and to get checked in. Now by this time it's 9:15 and my appointment was at 10am. One of the staff literally called the receptionist and proclaimed.."Doesn't he know his appointment is at 10" as if they were annoyed that I got there early. Well that's my business. I don't care if it's 7am and my appointment is at 2pm I like to get places early. I also have a disease that limits my movements and lo and behold out comes a patient in a wheelchair being pushed by a nurse. The patient is released and the wheelchair is empty. I had not eaten in two days and was weak and sick and limping. The nurse called my name and I stood up and I TOLD the nurse that I was crippled and she just said "that's ok" and just kept walking pushing the chair empty. I literally had to limp and barely make it to the pre op room following her and a empty wheelchair that I should have been in. It's not that she wasn't nice it's just this staff is so used to being desensitized to the public. But we all have to understand in their profession in a small town where everyone knows each other they have to shield themselves mentally and emotionally from us. The staff doesn't need changing, they know what they are doing, it's just the overall culture needs to change.

2 stars, glad there's at least some sort of medical care...but, I'm appalled at the amount of people working for Mercy with nasty attitudes that I've had to deal with. I get people having bad days.... but, If you're not a people person, you're working in the wrong field.

Never again, absolutely the worst experience ever. My 91 yr old Mother was admitted after fainting at Wal-Mart.
Her heart was in afib, and a few other things were not right. They tell me she is in heart failure. Admit her.
Put her in a bed in her street clothes, no heart monitor, nothing. I left around 10 pm, returned at 5:15 am. Not one person ever checked on her at all. She also has alzheimers and there she played under the covers in street clothes.

I would give this facility 0 stars if it would let me. Most nasty facility I have ever went to. The staff at the front desk was fine but doctor or charge nurse not sure what she is was the worst.
