Quiet and clean. Good service, and our food was good. I had the fish po boy. Husband said his mushroom melt was good.

Second visit today, food was even better. The chicken hawk sandwich with slaw and sauce, best sandwich I have had in a while. The chili burger was awesome, too. I can't wait till the next visit.

My MIL was a culinary teacher of this guy, and he didn't disappoint!!!

She got the Catfish basket, and it was delicious!!! The sauteed squash and, zucchini was a standout, basically a win-win across the board.

I got the infamous Mushroom Melt, and as you can see from others reviews, this apparently, is a favorite, and I could tell why.

You could tell everything was made by the owner, and not out of the box, which I adore

Great homemade food. I’ve had the taco salad and the burger. Both were delicious and seasoned well. I would visit and eat here again!

We showd up nearly at closing time, and they didn't chase us away. We grabbed the pork chop special with sides that were amazing! Small, quaint, hometown restaurant. A hidden gem in downtown Evening Shade.

Cutest little place around! Food was reasonably priced & everything was delicious!!! The owner of the establishment was personable, friendly & attentive. The atmosphere was wonderful! So much so, that we did something we almost never do....we stayed
for a yummy dessert of peach cobbler alamode. I wiil be recommending to close family & friends & we'll most definitely be back!!! 😊

This is a great locally owned restaurants. it has a delicious mushrooms patty melt. I will definitely be putting this place on my list to come to again

We love eating at woodies! They make ya feel comfortable there. Food is outstanding! OK I'm getting off here and heading to woodies for supper! Yummy!

This small but cozy little restaurant rests in the downtown area of Evening Shade. Very good food and very good service. A friendlier place you'll never find.
Update....the best burgers and fries! I went to Sonic, they ruined my burger! I went to a different place, same thing. I went to another Sonic, they ruined my burger! The only place that left the cheese in the fridge, is Woodies! The best sides! The best people!

We went on a day that happened to be the weekend of the Cave City Watermelon festival. Woodies had been extremely busy and by the time we arrived we were unable to get breakfast. Since it was later in the day that was fine I had the taco salad which was delicious. The meat was fixed perfectly and seasoned well, the combination of vegetables and salad was pleasing and quite tasty. Flour tortilla chips that made a nice addition and a nice change from the flour tortilla bowl it often comes in. I'm looking forward to going back, particularly during the week as I have heard such good things about it.

Food was great. It was wonderful catching up with Woodie. My Dad loved stopping there.

Great home style cooking. Small number of seats. Not far from the Evening Shade Burt Reynolds gymnasium.

We were traveling through Evening Shade AR. and decided to stop for a quick bite. So glad we did . The food was fantastic. My husband said the world needs to know about the chili burger! Just bring cash, they don't accept cards.

This place feels familiar the first time you walk into it. It's small, but doesn't have a crowded atmosphere. Breakfast was really good. They have great coffee! We like the tables on the covered porch for that fresh, outside seating option on nice days. We will be back to try more menu items!

The only guy who runs the place is named Michael. He is a very friendly person, who (if you ask to) get a surprize on like type of bread, he wont look at you funny like if you did that to any other cafe. He takes his time with the food you order. You can taste the love in it. My complements to Michael. The only few things I would change, is the amount of seating in the cafe. But all n' all, will definitely be going back as frequently as possible.

Good food! Comfortable little restaurant with good food and good service. I have dined here twice now and have been quite happy with the experience both times. Definitely I will go again.

Best burgers I've been had, personally had the chili burger today, it packs a little bit of heat but it's the best burger you could ever want! Highly recommend!!!

It's an amazing one man show. The food is always fresh and the owner/Cook/Waiter is always friendly and fast absolutely the best restaurant in Evening Shade.
