Dawson Aircraft

I have purchased from Dawson Aircraft in the past. I recently purchased a Wakmann 8 Day Clock from Dawson. Mine was non-functional. The package arrived early. When I open the package, I found the clock wound and working. It’s been running here for over 24 hours. I’m pleased. It can be difficult to find original type equipment for a 50+ year old aircraft. I appreciate their return policy. That’s very helpful when purchasing salvaged equipment.

AVOID THIS COMPANY THEY ARE NOT YOUR TRUSTED PARTNER
I recently purchased a used rocker switch which I was told was functional only to find out that the rocker switch doesn't rocker at all. The switch is defective. The switch was not even finger tested before sent out :(
They are telling me to ship it back at my expense (from Canada could be about $40.00) and then they will refund me. The part when purchased was $25.00 plus shipping for a total of $56.57. It doesn't take an economics major to figure out that I have been shafted. Extremely disappointed by the lack customer service and consideration. I would avoid doing business with them. I would have given them zero stars but the system wouldn't accept it!

Absolutely the worst customer service from Trevor to Mr Dawson himself. I was sold a part that was described and listed as (New), when it arrived it was clearly (used) and had old paint and a half drilled rivet still in it. It had also been incorrectly repaired with cheap cotter pins and not the proper rivets as factory would be.

Trevor refused to acknowledge any wrongdoing or misrepresentation and refused to replace the part. I finally got to Mr Dawson who was rude and could care less also. I the end I am stuck with a worthless part and forced to go buy another.

Lesson to be learned, Dawson Aircraft is NOT a business to use at all costs!!!
