If I can give this place 10 stars I would. My father-in-law recently passed away and they made the experience so easy and wonderful for us. They go the extra mile to make an already difficult situation much, much easier. His wife even baked us a delicious funeral cake. They are the nicest people I have ever dealt with at a funeral. Whenever I have to have a funeral again I am definitely going there. I would recommend them to anyone who needs their services, you will not be disappointed. I just cannot say enough about everyone that works there.

Bernard Funeral Home worked with our family to make the service in Ono just as nice as the service we had in Ohio. They worked well with the other funeral home, as well as our relative who organized the Ono/ Russel Springs portion of the service.

They were very professional, and went out of their way to help us through a very difficult time.

my name is frank l. sullivan, in jan 1992 my father who fough in WWII passed away. bernards funeral home went out of their way and went the extra mile to ensure my dad received the honors he was entitled to. but that is not the end of the story, today in 2014 i am tracing my lineage and sometimes you run into obstacles very hard to overcome. in the past year i have called at least 3 times to see if they could help. all 3 times they have assisted me in searching for my fathers past. i am very thankful to them and their help. unfortunately i do not live in ky, i live in nc, but i would recommend bernard funeral home to anyone in the russell springs and surrounding areas to contact them in your time of need. my thanks to bernard funeral home.

I wouldn't give this place one star. These are the most rudest funeral directors I've ever had to deal with in a time of grief. The director was extremely rude tp most family members, and not informative at all. What requests were made for my loved one were completely ignored and not even discussed with me ....I...being the mother...and would like to know how did this funeral home and its director go about arrangements for my son without having any type of input by me for or with my own son? How is this legal by any means? Wait i know, they only took information and arrangements, and requests for the family members who were paying for the services....Right?!
I wasn't even acknowledged as the mother by the funeral home one bit. They have nothing as being updated amd said my song request id have to get downloaded to be played and bring in.....i did. During the funeral service 3 songs were played....none for what i chosen....one song my son played me when my dad passed and the other song is one my son always asked for by one his favorite bands......i was informed that my songs werent church like....for one ...it wasnt a church we were in and for two one song was about heaven and the other is what my son had told few of us he'd like to have played.....last i checked ....is you say your goodbyes the way your loved one asked for and wanted...not what others want.....its about the one laying there your saying your last goodbyes too not about the people who attend.
How can you legally make all arrangements without both living parents as their next of kin? Explain that to me please Mr.Brenard.....youre the rudest amd most inconsiderate and unsympathetic funeral director ive ever met or knew to run a funeral home.....Your business needs to be shut down or somehow reported.
