expensive, but works with everyone like they're family. some good Ole boy type deal if I ever saw one. The staff is pretty cool for the most part. As for being expensive, it is the price you pay to avoid driving 80 miles round trip to home Depot. With that said, kinda worth the price. They have an awesome credit line too as long as you got a job, you can probably get credit. You may need someone to put in a good word for you too. Anyway, this is an edit and I'm changing to 5 stars. Why? Because my wife loves them!

Large selection of building products and hardware. Good people to deal with. I went there looking for a vent or a piece of metal. For a repair on my motor home. I found an old piece of metal in their yard and asked how much they wanted for it. They told me Merry Christmas and Happy New Year! Will definitely be shopping here again.

If you're building something they have materials at a bargain. Plus they have a lot of stuff. Been there several times and still haven't seen everything

The staff is So helpful, you need something, ask and they will help you not only get the right supplies for your project, they will politely load it in your vehicle with a smile. Great people, I recommend this place for all your home projects. You need it, they got it. 👍👍

They beat the big box stores in helpfulness, knowledge and especially prices. They almost always have what we're looking for.

Shopped for months for 13.2 sheet vinyl, then heard about this place. They had better selection and better prices than anywhere else I had looked. Plus the staff are down home fine people. If you are looking for flooring, building materials and just about anything else, I highly recommend you stop here first. Its worth the drive.

Thank you Flying Hawk for having a great selection of vinyl flooring on the roll. We shopped several big chain stores in Gainesville and Flying Hawk had a bigger selection than all of them combined. We were impressed with the very friendly and helpful service.

Thanks to our rambunctious sons, we needed to replace a discontinued door in our home, the gentleman who helped us even climbed the upper racks to search. He didn't give up and he found it! They also have a lot of every thing for any kind of around the house and shop kind of projects you can think of! We really enjoy this store, and we're glad to shop & support small business local companies. I'm not sure about weekdays, but they are open on Saturdays until 5 which is also great for us!

Ok, yes flying hawk has a reputation for being expensive, but it depends on what your getting. For the most part, I've found them to be priced just right, & some things are marked down. We got paneling for couple bedrooms, & paid $5 a sheet.. can't beat that!! Their friendly & helpful & best of all their in Dixie County.. help out your LOCAL small town retailers.. don't drive to home Depot, unless you have to

So far, so good! We have been there twice now and the guys are very helpful. A little too pricey, but you can either pay that price or go all the way to Gainesville.

I'm a Handyman around town, and they always have what I need for any job. Price is good and a good staff to add to your experience 😀
