Lovely western theme place that has real provenance from many past road trips we used as home base to explore local area over three days. Rooms have been decorated with a sharp eye to detail that evokes this western town so well. Bed was firm and comfortable and AC hummed along so we slept like a rock. Jordan and Dino took care of this show so well, thank you.

This was the most authentic thing we experienced in Tombstone. I don't remember ever staying in a roadside motel, in my adult life for sure, so the experience was a small adventure on its own. 5 stars is not based on comparing this with other hotels, but first of all, Jordan! You were wonderful to interact with, via phone first, then in person. Thank you for all your help and insights!
The rooms were small, but we didn't come to spend our time in the room. They were perfect to accommodate both of us and our dog. We heard nothing but the fan blowing. It was solid sound proof which is amazing! I didn't bring a swim suit, but their pool looked so clean, clear and inviting I would have jumped in. I don't swim in hotel pools anymore, but would have here.
We were hauling an empty gooseneck horse trailer and parked on the street. We felt completely at ease leaving it there.
I really liked this little gem. Authentic, old, clean and comfortable. Easy walk to downtown.
We don't plan on returning to Tombstone, but if we did, we would stay here again.

This place deserves 10 Stars, if I could do that!!! Some of the BEST customer service anyone could ask for!!!
The place is super clean and love the western rustic appeal!!!
The rooms are extremely cozy and well worth the stay!!
It's location is right off the main street and is a super easy and simple walk to lots of activities..
Love the "common area" for BBQ and gathering for guests!!
24-hour coffee and hot chocolate and snack bar, hell yeah!!! You definitely don't get that in any 5-star hotel!!!
If your thinking about staying in Tombstone, you MUST include Trail Rider's Inn !!!!
It's the little things that make ALL the difference, and Trail Rider's Inn does that and so much more!!! You won't be disappointed!!! A+++++++

Stayed here for a weekend to check out Tombstone. First let me say that im a hotel phob so I was a little apprehensive since it's an older motel. I was pleasantly surprised though. Yes the rooms are older, but they are kept very clean. The location was awesome... A 3 - 5 min walk to the main street where everything is happening. A major plus was i got to bring my dog and there was plenty of room to walk him. I will definitely stay here again!

My wife and I stayed here two nights and we loved it. The folks that run the hotel were super nice and everything in Tombstone is within walking distance. We can't wait to come back.

I had to come back here to see if it was just as good. It’s better! Great staff with Seth and Deano cruising around. My biggie is cleanliness and it’s great. This place is a treasure. The pool has an awesome rock waterfall and a fully adjustable hot tub. Great decor and I was lucky enough to see the Halloween setup that somebody obviously spent time on. Yes there are bumps in the night and a shower that sprays so hard it could take off tattoos if you let it. It’s cozy and comfy and right near the action. What else could you ask for. They also give you toothbrushes with your soaps and shampoo. Who does that? The Trail Rider Inn does! This is my favorite place to stay in Tombstone.

We stopped here last minute on our way back east, booked online. We were so pleased with the overall feel and location of this motel. It was so lovely, and most of all Barbara and her assistant were very kind to us. The kids swam under the stars and later we walked down the historic center of town, just a block away. Thank you for making our stay so wonderful.

Recently stayed here with a big group for a friend's birthday weekend. We. Had. A. BLAST! The staff, especially Barbara were helpful and welcoming. The rooms were clean and comfortable. The air conditioners definitely had to work hard in the afternoons but everyone, even the businesses down town ALL had the same issue as it's freaking HOT in Arizona during July. We loved the fact that there is a pool and we used it everyday. Same goes for the BBQ area and the coffee bar. We also loved the proximity to downtown as we walked mostly everywhere. Didn't turn the TV on once as we were too busy going on adventures and making amazing memories with great friends. We will definitely stay here next time we come!

Barbara, Milo and Crystal are a warm and welcoming crew. My wife and I drove from Colorado Springs down to Tombstone, a trip that was supposed to take right at 12 hours. About an hour and a half away, we encountered a tragic accident on I-10 West at the NM/AZ border. Traffic came to a virtual standstill for over 2 hours. We had originally notified them that we'd be arriving after 5 PM and it was no problem. When we encountered the traffic jam, we called them and told them we'd be much later and told them of the events that delayed us. When we arrived, almost 15 hours after departing home, Barbara was there waiting on us, despite managing 2 other fully booked hotels in town. She told us that Milo had relayed our situation to her and she had upgraded us to the Bunkhouse. It was an unnecessary action on her part, but was greatly appreciated. Throughout our stay there, they were quick to answer calls and get done what needed to be done without question or complaint. They were always pleasant and accommodating. The room was cool and clean, all linen freshly laundered and the beds comfortable. That's all we ask for and we got that and more. I'd highly recommend it to anyone looking for a nice little out-of-the way spot to rest with easy access to historic Allen Street (about a 3 minute walk). Thank y'all for a wonderful stay! Y'all were great!! Looking forward to seeing y'all again soon! -Kerry and Angie

I thought the grill area was fantastic. Tables and chairs, even a fire pit with couches around it.

These places are so decked out! There's a big fire pit in the back with couches and chairs all around it for you too light anytime you want and a huge grill so bring some steaks! The inside of these places is so comfortable with a vintage cowboy feel. If you ever find yourself at this inn check out docs saloon as well it's a great place to have a few beers and wind down

Trail Rider’s Inn is a no-frills hotel, rooms are small but clean, only complaint bed is very squeaky. Barbara who checked us in was so friendly even handed us Maps to walk to town which is very close, location is outstanding. Also made recommendations on things to do and where to eat.

Back in 2019, this place had some bad reviews, so I thought things can only get better. I was right. The motel is under new ownership and bit by bit they are working through this year painting, decorating, new beds, and more. They are already fully booked in October with a waiting list! Our room was really clean and nice, the beds were fantastic and the bathroom was really clean. The manager and his staff were the nicest and most helpful people. The pool and hot tub were clean and really enjoyable to use. Now let me add, This is historic old Tombstone, you go there to visit an old cowboy town from the 1800s, therefore the local motels reflect the same design. You are staying in old-designed wild west cabin-type accommodations, they are NOT glass and plastic modern hotels like Holiday Inn, Hiltons, etc. So don't expect it, there are no fridges, microwaves or coffee makers in the room. enjoy the realistic ambiance of the 'Trail Riders Inn' which is a brief walk across the road from the historic main street of Tombstone itself and all the attractions. Just an additional note. Along the road from the inn is the large Circle K gas station where each morning you can get a variety of tea and coffee as well as numerous breakfast and lunch sandwiches to set you up for the day. So enjoy Tombstone as we did - can't wait to return!

This is the best place in town to stay. The owner is one hell of a guy. He absolutely went above and beyond for us. We will never stay anywhere else but here. Oh and the hot tub was fabulous after walking town all day. By far the best service I have ever had at a hotel. Very clean!!

Had a great time from start to finish. The hotel owner was extremely nice, the rooms were nice and clean. I loved the soft towels you don't find that much in hotels. We also enjoyed the rustic look and the front porch off our room also extremely close to down town. Just a short walk one block to everything you want to see.

It doesn't take long to see what Tombstone has to offer, but my Brother and I knew we would be getting drunk during our visit, so we decided to rent a room for the night while in town. We settled on this little motel, and we were not disappointed. Upon arrival we spoke with Ernie and he was friendly and helpful and told us not to hesitate to call him up if we were in need of anything. The motel is just across from old town Tombstone, just a block or so if travelling by foot. The room was clean and had a tv, microwave, and a mini-fridge. Nice little pool and hot tub right outside the rooms which we enjoyed until about 2 in the morning. Overall, we were pleased with our accommodations, and gotta give a shout out to Ernie, who was super cool. Thanks Ernie!
