Cafe B-29

I saw this place when I was using Google for places to eat near Ozark Missouri. With me being a huge history buff and even more so when it comes to WWII this place caught my eye. We arrived on a Saturday night (03/09/2024) and the place was super busy, but with my wife and two of our best friends we were able to be seated right away. Note: I believe this was just luck we arrived when we did. Like I stated they were super busy. Once seated I began to take in the atmosphere of the place military stuff everywhere. From what I could tell it was mostly from WWII and I noticed some from the Vietnam War. It came time to order and our waitress was amazing so helpful and joked around with us a little bit. I ordered the Buffalo chicken sandwich and it was perhaps the best one I have ever had. I’ll attach pictures that I took while there. I recommend that everyone tried this places. The food was great, the atmosphere was great, and our waitress phenomenal. We will definitely be back.

This place is so cool! It's a war museum with good food, beer, wine, and other libations. I've never seen another Cafe like it. It's worth a drive for the experience. We had Philly cheese steak sandwiches and the nachos, both were fresh and tasty.

This little restaurant is probably one of the best dining experiences I've had! The hostess was very friendly and polite but the place was packed so we had to wait a little under 10 minutes to be seated. Once we were seated, there was another wait to get service but the young waitress was apologetic and it was well worth the food. The loaded fries were delicious and the order was huge! We ordered the brat burger and Reuben sandwich. I'm pretty particular about burgers but this one was moist and had an amazing flavor! The Reuben is served on marble rye and was grilled perfectly! Our sides were fries and green beans and both were delicious! Once we ordered the appetizer arrived pretty quickly, and our main courses came out not too long after that. We were really impressed with the quickness of the service especially with how packed the place was! The cafe is decorated with hundreds of authentic photos of veterans and military memorabilia. It's obvious the owners respect people who serve(d) in the military as the hostess went around one of the tables that was full of service people and shook each hand and thanked them. We are definitely returning!

I was told about this place by someone I met on a work trip. The cafe is well situated and easy to get to. Nice local spot to grab a bite and look at a very cool set up of photos of veterans, uniforms, plane models, bombs, etc. The menu is well done with a good variety of foods ranging from fried pickles to burgers and from salads to sandwiches. I found they have a Monte Cristo on the menu and was pleased to see it. Not many places offer that sandwich. I had the fried pickles and the Monte Cristo. It was delicious. The Monte Cristo was excellent! Normally they are battered and deep fried, but here they put a nice touch of their own in making the bread french toast. Excellent choice. Not too heavy and hit the spot. Prices are reasonable and the staff is very friendly. Will definitely come back when I am in town or passing through.

Great food!! We stopped in here on the fly, and glad we did!! Very cool military decor, and excellent staff!! I got the jalapeño burger with made in house fries, cery good, and not too spicy. My Wife and my Sister both got the Hawaiian chicken sandwich with tots, and onion rings, we also ordered the fried pickle spears, all really tasty. Thank you! And we will be back on our next drive to Branson!

We love this local cafe! Everything I’ve ever ordered is fresh and delicious.

Great place we found by dumb luck. Glad we did. Gumbo was really good and atmosphere was of the charts.

This place is so awesome! You walk in and the walls are full of pictures of men and women who served our country as well uniforms and other memorabilia all over. They have done their very best to honor the heroes who signed the blank check and fought for our freedom. Then comes the food. There’s lots to choose from. I haven’t found anything that hasn’t been good. We were blessed to meet the owners and they were super friendly. If you’re hungry and want to see some history, this is the place!

I love this diner! The atmosphere is nostalgic and a tribute to all military personnel. There are uniforms and pictures and different paraphernalia relating to military branches.

The food was delicious and the serving sizes were good sized.

Not much from the outside, but the inside is wonderfully themed and the service was fantastic! The pickle fries were delicious, as was my bologna sandwich. My wife’s patty melt looked incredible, too.

Fries are fresh cut and VERY tasty - but try not to let them get cold.

I love every time I dine here. The staff is amazing, and you can feel the memories of all who served. Uniforms decorate the ceiling and flags of our branches of military memorialize pictures and facts about those who sacrificed many things. Reading notes about strangers I'll never meet but who played a humongous role in our protection is a feeling I can never write out correctly. B-29 Cafe is great. Experience it for yourself!

Cafe B-29 is absolutely fantastic. This is only the second time that I've been here, but it will not be the last time for sure and for certain. The food is great, the service is great, the atmosphere was wonderful.

P.S. They're now serving Yuengling Lager!! God Bless America!!

We had a wonderful time here. It was my very first visit. The atmosphere just made you desire to know more about our troops with the decorum set in the late 1950s. I can tell you I had their meatloaf special with a Miller Light and thoroughly enjoyed my luch. Our server was delightful and attentive. What a historical recreation honoring our service members! I salute you as a widow of an Army veteran!

First time here for us. I had the Hawaiian Chicken sandwich and hubby had the French Dip, both with fries. Very good. Service was great even with a crowd. Atmosphere is great. Highly recommended. Oh, and the Bread Pudding was fabulous.

Great menu selection. Fantastic service and food. Love the fresh cut fries. The WWII decor. Will be back soon to try something new.

Great theme with awesome military decor, something to see everywhere you look. Fun menu with good food. Staff was friendly and attentive. It was even fun to use the restroom while there! Will visit again!

Love love love Cafe B-29. A great local stop with wonderful customer service and they support veterans! I have not had anything on the menu that hasn’t been excellent, but the Jalapeño Popper Burger is my absolute favorite! The portions are great and food is always fresh. Don’t forget to try out their fresh cut fries and ranch!

This place was amazing! The waitresses were super helpful and knowledgeable in the memorabilia and taught us a lot about what they had. The food was also top-notch and very affordable. Great place and kid friendly as well, very sweet and professional. Absolutely recommend 100% you have to go!!!!
