Few days ago they helped my cat Marshmallow who was hit by a car and reached out to me immediately.

Thankfully she was finally discharged from ER and sleeping like a little baby (and sulk when she is wearing the cone)

Thank you so much Lt. Rogers!

Lisa Higgins foster mom is a wonderful person. So giving, so dedicated, very straightforward about the kittys personality. Best foster mom I ever met. I am still slowly bonding with Higgins but loving every minute. He really needed his forever home. Lisa is very knowledgeable and volunteered there for 20 years. I highly recommend this organization. I am so in love with my shy and gentle cat. He gives great love bites and kisses. He could heal a broken heart. I love this organization.

Tiani goes well beyond as a director. She truly cares and tries all sources to ensure rescues are treated with love and care. She recenlty got a call about an injured Turkey. An animal she has no experience with, but she reached out to The Blind Spot Animal Sanctuary for assistance in possible care. Unfortunately, the Turkey had been picked up by volunteers and taken to an Aviary Vet, but it was too late as the infection spread and the Turkey died. Chatham Sheriif's Animal Rescue deals with mostly cats and dogs, but she will never turn away other animals in need of rescue.

We need more people like Tiani who go above and beyond for animals.

We just adopted a beautiful Wooly Siberian Husky from this place yesterday and I have to say this was the best shelter I have ever been to. There was art all over the walls and ceiling, everything was CLEAN, there was NO smell, even in the kennels (HOW??), the staff was kind, patient, answered all my questions, and was so good with the pups. They have a large outdoor space for you to spend time with the dogs. Again, no smell and CLEAN. (Seriously… HOW?!) To top if off, the adoption fee was free… You read that right. FREE. That covers spay/neuter surgery, all vaccinations, heartworm testing, and flea and tick treatment. I don’t know how they do this but I am grateful because all of that money saved on the adoption can go toward getting my new family member a tooth cleaning, and buying things like a crate, bed, and toys brand new instead of hand me downs or cheap versions.

I wanted to adopt a companion for our family and give her all she needs. That shouldn’t be a choice reserved for those with $1000+ of disposable income, especially with SO MANY animals being killed in shelters due to an 50% uptick in shelter admittance since Covid. Yes, I have saving for emergencies for her, but it’s nice to have the basic needs not sting as much!

The ONLY downside for the adoption process is that I won’t be able to take her home until she is spayed. They don’t have an in-house vet to do the surgery (which is part of how they save on costs), so they have to send her to a local vet for the surgery. So it could be a week or two before she is home with us. But that’s okay! It gives me more time to prepare our house for her!

This place is amazing. Zero complaints. Go adopt a wonderful companion from them! Highly recommended!!

THIS PLACE AND STAFF ARE AMAZING‼ I cannot say enough about how much they helped my fiancé and I. We had 2 stray male pups show up at our home and we were planning on dropping them off & my fiancé & I couldn’t do it. They went above and beyond to help us keep them. They were able to help us get all their shots, offered us collars and leashes, loved on the pups & helped us find a vet to get them fixed soon. My fiancé and I had never been to a “shelter” before so we didn’t know what to expect & our first experience couldn’t have been better. So THANK YOU CHATHAM SHERIFF’S ANIMAL RESOURCE CENTER, y’all are truly angels on earth!!!

The lady that helped me was very helpful & friendly. Answered all my questions & gave me alot of information. Go adopt a cat or dog from them!! If you qualify- go get a voucher to have your pet spayed or neutered, it's only $20.

We just got the most lovely little kitty! I can not believe how reasonable the adoption fee is, especially considering it included spaying, vaccinations and micro-chipping. All of those things would add up to hundreds of dollars! The whole process was pretty quick and the young lady who helped us was super sweet. I’m so happy this service exists for Chatham County.
