Helpful staff with cheerful attitudes make shopping enjoyable. I also appreciate the fact that staff will think with me to identify alternative solutions to problems. Finally, I appreciate their willingness to order items if they are not regularly stocked (They have done this for me on several occasions).

Stumbled on this store a few weeks ago. Great friendly people, good
products, good price on propane refills, and they know how to properly fill tanks fully. I'll have all my tanks
filled by them from now on. Highly recommend!

Melvins has moved from the location pictured, down to the south end of Randleman at the business 220 & 311 interchange.
(Tge old go cart track). This has given them about 3X more space to showcase their splendid inventory. I frequent them about 3 to 4 times a week for various supplies to complete my numerous projects. Aaron, Butch & the other staff are always available for a friendly chat & I usually find what I want in the store. If it's not in inventory then they can order it. I ordered a 3 person wooden porch swing this summer & it arrived in 4 days.
I much prefer shopping here than going to Wal-Mart or driving a half hour to Lowes Hardware in Asheboro.

Great customer service, helpful staff. Large selection of livestock and horse feed.

Best place for locally grown feed. Dogs love the dry food.

Always a great place to stop in for a variety of items. Owner's always friendly along with the employees and very helpful. Much rather go there than the big box stores.

This is one of my favorite stores. They want your business. They are so helpful, just wonderful. They have such a wide variety of items, from hardware, to toys, clothing, cards, kitchen stuff, garden stuff.

If you need something, check them out. They also sell hot water heaters.

Small town store that carries a little of everything. Staff is always super helpful and polite. Two entrances one in front the other is in back off large parking lot. Prices are reasonable and nice to support local small town businesses

Update: Still a great place. If you want something, they can probably order it. Wow! can't believe I'm first. This IS an ICON. Absolutely gentile, with helpful people; just ask. FUN to look around. Great place to take kids and older folks who enjoy nostalgia. However, they HAVE what you need to do what you are doing today. DO love this place and VERY reasonable prices. Parking in back near restaurant, library and antique shops! Candy, gifts, clothing, spices, baking dishes, hardware, silk flowers, sewing, make keys, $1 items, cards, collectables, stationary....

Find items there I can't find elsewhere. Staff are friendly and very helpful locating items you are looking for.

I was in town and needed paint. I was able to get everything I needed and more to get the job done. I can't wait to come back to do some Christmas shopping! They have a good selection of toy's! 🌻🍁

Great store !! They have expanded into hardware & plumbing supplies but still have the 5 & dime feel to the store. Looked all over trying to find cpvc fittings with no luck but Melvin's had them & at a super price.
