An amazing hike in the fall time! I took such amazing photos of all the fall time colors. I would highly recommend camping out here, but keep in mind to bring at least 2X the amount of water you think you will need for your hiking or camping trip.

Hiked down to Horsepound Falls. It's classified as moderate but it's a workout. The first section to Suter Falls wasn't bad going down (it's much tougher coming back up). You have a lot of rough terrain going down to Suter and right afterwards (maybe 1/2 mile?). The trail becomes less rocky after moving away from the cliffs. I started early and it was a bit slick in spots. It's well worth the hike but bring plenty of water if you're hiking later in the day.

This is a lovely trail, in a TN State Park full of great trails! It can be a little arduous in spots if it’s wet or icy, but if you take your time and go slow it shouldn’t be a problem and you’ll be rewarded with some wonderful sights, including Suter Falls (shown in video).

Awesome trail, highly recommend. Not very long, two nice waterfalls in less than 5 miles round trip.

Great area to go camping. Either for a day hike or camping. The park is well marked and well maintained. The waterfalls are picturesque and springs are everywhere. The hiking is fairly difficult so be prepared.

This area is very beautiful with water Falls, picturesque overlooks and lush forested areas. There are primitive camping areas with outside toilet and spring water available, trails are marked well in both directions so make a day trip and check it out I'm sure you'll enjoy this beautiful piece of earth.

Great hike! Be aware all the water sources from Collins trailhead to the Stagecoach Rd campsite were dried up and there was very little water available toward Savage Gulf trailhead.

None of the sites seem to have latrine facilities, so if you expect to need that, plan accordingly

Pleasant views on the North amd South side -looking forward to coming back

Absolutely beautiful hike. Be careful of rocks. A lot down to Suter falls, which forms a unique natural amphitheater and is gorgeous. Be careful of the steep dirt grade there which leads down to the bridge. Don't be too proud to use your hands and knees if you have to. Another mile of rocks along the mountain rim, then you get a well worn path of descending switchbacks before you reach Horsepound falls. The sign for Horsepound is misleading as it points to an old washout gully which was the original descent point. Look slightly to the right and you'll see the four by fours used to make landings. Once you get back up from Horsepound, take a right at the sign and continue down the main trail and you will come to the shallow river. If you look closely, you can find a large cave opening there with an underground lake. Small, but amazing in itself.
There are bear warnings at the beginning of the trail. Take them seriously. Bring repellent or at least a good hunting knife for emergency preparation. Do a little bear encounter research before you go. But honestly, we've been twice and have seen no trace of them. All falls have their own inherent beauty, but Horsepound and Suter are slightly more magical, a lot like Falls of Jericho and Virgin Falls, also in Tennessee. They are remote and moderately difficult to get to, which makes the payoff even better.

Trails are super well marked. Best I've seen. I appreciate that. Waterfalls are great, just pay attention to your length of trail as they are strenuous.

Nice trailhead. There is an outhouse at the trailhead. I didn't use it so can't say how clean it was. There's a map and other information as well.
