Mountain View Retreat

Wow, all I can say is this place is absolutely breathtaking. Cabins are themed and so very well thought out and put together .immaculately clean and stocked with everything imaginable. Highly recommend. I stayed in the bear cabin. Cute,comfy and cozy. The owner Missy is an absolutely nice,kind, thoughtful and very informative and communicates above and beyond

If you are looking for a relaxing getaway, this is the spot for you!! My husband and I had the best stay at The Bear Cabin. It was the perfect size for us! We spent our time on the porch enjoying the fabulous views and enjoying the wildlife. Fantastic hosts thought of everything you would need for a nice, recharge-weekend! Loved our stay and can't wait to go back!

My wife and I enjoyed a peaceful stay at the Fisherman’s Cabin. The cabin was well appointed and included all the basic creature comforts. Outside our hosts provided ample firewood, comfy Adirondack chairs, and a nice fire ring. Perfect for enjoying a starry night sky or a sunrise over the mountains. Max the dog was also super friendly and a fun addition to our stay. We’ll definitely be back!

My family came out from Arizona and stayed in this most Beautiful place!!! I can't say enough....not only is this house/cabin Top notch Beautiful, but the view is a million dollar view! You want find a more incredible place to relax and unwind. They were here for 4 days and nights and didn't want to leave. They said they will definitely be coming back! Unfortunately I didn't take pictures like I wanted because I was busy cooking meals in that incredible kitchen.....but I know they did!

If I could give it 10 stars I would! Thank you to Cherry and David they were the nicest people! And Max greeted us when we got there and visited us often during our stay. He's so cute! The cabin was awesome! There were so many special touches. We loved it! We will definitely be back!

Wonderful experience here I highly recommend if you're looking for a cabin near Talhina.

A friend and I started the Ouachita Trail last weekend by knocking out the first 8 miles from Talimena State Park. The Fisherman's Cabin gave us a restful, quiet place to prepare and then recover! Cherye was very responsive and easy to deal with, the cabin was clean and well appointed. My dog Max and her dog Max had a big time together. The views are nice and you can tell they have put a lot of work into creating this place. Loved it and would definitely stay again if in the area. And if you want an amazing dinner (weekends only right now) - check out the Rock House Restaurant. (reservations required). Thanks for the hospitality, Cherye!

What a beautiful weekend. Picturesque vistas and a cozy cabin to step back from a hectic week. Wonderful hostess was kind and accommodating. Truly an amazing experience.

I have rented both cabins multiple times for our children visiting. They all loved their stay here and commented on the amazing views of the Kiamichi Mountains. The cabins were very clean and they had everything you would need for the stay. The hosts have a dog named Max, that everyone loved.

Everything was amazing. The views, the cabin we stayed in. Enjoy the no WiFi, yes I did say I enjoyed No WiFi lol. The owners were great made us feel very welcome. Being able to bring our dog was also great she loved playing with the owners dog Max. We will definitely go back.

We loved our cabin. very clean and comfortable

Our hosts, who rapidly became our friends, showed us around and made sure we saw some of the most beautiful scenery in America

We plan to come back again soon, later in the Fall, for even more colorful foliage

We tried, but their dog, Max, wouldn't go back with us

Oh yeah, if you like steak, don't miss the Rock house.

Nice quiet getaway with all you need besides food and drink. We used the Bear Cabin for some day hiking on the OT.

Suited my needs and offered more than I expected for something this size. I plan to return.

Great secluded tiny homes. Not much to do on property, but nice country views.
