Minden Midtown Motel

Warm and cozy place to stay. Very reasonable rates, even with having our dog. The woman who runs it is lovely and made sure we were taken care of. The beds were so comfortable- I was really pleased with how soft they were. AC and heat worked great too. Great little local-owner place!

This place is a hidden gem! It's an older motel, and has a fun vintage feel. The owner, Marlene, is very friendly. She keeps the place very clean and comfortable. If you want to support a great small business owned by a wonderful woman, this is your best bet!

The town is quiet and charming. There is a post office, bowling alley, and restaurant all next door, but the motel remains very quiet even when the other businesses are busy. There's even a little mom and pop general store across the way. It's a fun and friendly place to stay. I stayed here about a month for work and enjoyed it very much.

Great hospitality, and lovely rooms. I was passing through in between winter storms and was greeted with overwhelming friendliness and kindness. The proprietor made sure my room was warm and she was incredibly caring towards my dog. All amenities were exceptional. I will stay again and 100% recomend.

Clean and comfy and quiet. Hostess is so nice and accommodating. Beds SO comfy. Such friendly people and a safe area. The town of Minden has a wonderful cafe and a great meat market! Parks nearby too. Check out Arrowhead State Park and Botna Park. I would definitely stay there again if I make it back that way in my travels.

I stayed in this motel for five nights over the Memorial Day weekend and found it to be very good. The owner is a very nice lady and quite accommodating. The only person taking care of the room is the owner, so I didn’t worry about leaving my belongings. The town is quiet and safe. I’ll definitely stay there again if I’m ever that way again.

Marlene is a very sweet, personable kind host! The motel was so wonderfully Clean, far superior to many others I've experienced. Although the decor is not as new and classy, the beds and pillows were more comfortable, and being clean makes it worth returning to! Great value for the lower price!!

We stayed the night making our trek back home. Marlene is a wonderful host, so attentive, loving and sweet. Thank you Marlene for providing a comfortable place to rest on our journey. Much love!

Good alternative to usual interstate choices. Everything worked. I will be back on my annual cross country drive. I am giving this motel my blessing. BTW mattress was so comfortable. Try it. You will like it.

Amazing hospitality, just needed a simple room over night while traveling for a funeral and this little motel fit the bill perfectly.

This place is awesome. Marlene just makes you wanna stay forever. Beds are fabulous. I never get more than 5 hours asleep but here I slept over 11hrs.. it feels homey comfortable feels like heaven. Clouds all around but the rays of sun lit this little place up..

It was getting a little late when we arrived, so we were very pleasantly surprised when the gracious lady (we later learned her name is Marlene) greeted us warmly and showed us in. She personally escorts her guests to their rooms, with the heat already on, and explains the TV remote and anything else one might need.

The place is clean, the price is right and the hospitality is perfect.

Met the lady at the store too. Very nice town.

I stayed here for a week unexpectedly while my car was getting worked on in the neighborhood. Miss Marlene was so lovely and welcoming! She really makes you feel at home. The motel is pet friendly with a very reasonable rate. If you're in the neighborhood, check it out!

Ended up staying here on our trip back to Cleveland, came in super late and Marlene was very accommodating and helpful to us. The rooms were a lot bigger than we expected, and very clean as well! Definitely a cozy little place to stay if you’re out this way, will always recommend. 💜

Thank you, Marlene for being the sweetest, most spiritual & loving lady for our stay at your motel. The room was just right for this point in our travels. Comfortable bed & refreshing shower much needed! The price was a welcomed affordable rate, but it was the lovely lady that made it the best!

If you’re a traveler on a budget, STOP HERE!! Paid 52.50 w/ tax for a nice room for the night. Hospitality through the roof. The rooms are definitely older, felt grandma’s house-esque. Showers great and hot and bed was comfy, which is all I ask for on the road. If you want subservience, fanciness and to be pampered you should head somewhere else but if you’re like me and want a little experience in your travels stop by!

I would stay here again. When I first drove up, I'll be honest that I thought maybe I had made a mistake and should just keep driving. I drove around the tiny town a bit before deciding that I would stay. I really needed sleep. It looked a bit run down and made me a bit nervous about what I'd find. I got to know the owner a bit and found her to be kind and thoughtful. Rooms were certainly dated but also very clean. There were some oddities (like doing check-in in my room, which didn't make me feel comfortable even though it was her attempt to make me feel comfortable--I thought maybe the air conditioning had gone out in the office). She had the TV already tuned to a local station and showed me where the storm information was located on the top of the screen. That was helpful. I didn't even know a huge storm was coming, so I was glad I stopped for the night. The restaurant/bowling alley/bar/game room next door had super staff who quickly got me a meal to go even though I unknowingly walked in minutes before closing (AND they were all hurrying to beat the storm). The were not even a twinge unfriendly or put out! They insisted it was no problem. There is also a memorial park right across the street that would have been a lovely place to sit and eat if it hadn't started raining. :-) By the time I left the next day, I felt like I had found a friend in the owner (we spent a long time talking that morning, and I wasn't on a schedule so I just stayed and chatted). She is a precious soul, and would stay again to support her business. :-)

Clean! Comfortable! Budget friendly! Very accommodating at 2:00 am when I was rude enough to ask about vacancy. Dated but well kept. Very quiet place to sleep.
The beds are very comfortable with nice pillows.

Staff is very polite and friendly. She makes sure you have everything you need, including for our dog. Room was clean, cozy. We'll be sure to stay here again on our next road trip.

Perfect little motel in a small hole in the wall city very cozy and quite welcoming the woman who checked us in was very sweet and made sure all our needs were met rooms have a very homely feeling and the rate was perfect for what we were looking for would gladly stay again

Small town, safe, quiet. Usually I have the hardest time sleeping in hotels. However, as soon as my head hit the pillow, I was out. Marlene went above and beyond and was an exceptional host. She let us use her shampoo when we realized we had forgot ours. Please note-this is a small town hotel. It does not have that sterile impersonal feeling most are used to. This was like spending the night at your Aunt or grandma's house with a collection of furniture that was lovingly bought or collected for a guest room. Older furnishings, clean, new comfy beds. Diner 5 steps out your door that has an arcade and bowling. Price of $50.
