My husband and I each had breakfast skillets. Very good. Ambiance was so cozy with the large fireplace going. Recommend.

This has been a family establishment for us over several generations. Many family members have worked there.
We have always enjoyed eating there. The food is delicious and holiday meals are excellent. Thanksgiving day buffet was as good as I can cook at home! Everything was just perfect. They did not overcrowd the seating, which made a very enjoyable evening.
The staff has all been very nice and of course, the atmosphere is so cozy.
We will continue to eat here for many years to come. Don’t change a thing!

Really nice place and a really nice park. Spent my last day of a business trip here enjoying some drinks and food. The weather was great and so were the views. All the food and drinks were good.

I came with a group of hikers. This was a lovely place to have lunch. Everyone could enjoy food and rest in a beautiful rustic lodge, well decorated.

We are at the Starved Rock Lodge restaurant 4 times during our stay this past week, including a breakfast, lunch, and 2 dinners. My 3 yr old has food allergies, and the wait staff were phenomenal at helping us check the ingredients and accommodating her with food she could eat. Each one of our waiters and waitresses was kind and helpful. The pot roast and fried chicken were amazing too!

After hiking for 2.5 hours this was a great place to hang out and have lunch! They had a wide variety of winter cocktails and an extensive food menu. We shared a couple of appetizers and tried their amber ale. We ate and drank in the lounge area which was super busy for a Saturday afternoon in December. I had the Prancer flies again made with caramel vodka, Baileys and creme de cocoa. The service was laid back and a bit slow but the food came very quickly after we ordered.

Our Family met up there for an Easter Brunch.
After a correction to our reservation we met and had a wonderful time. Food was awesome and plenty of it. Building was clean and lots of history to explore.
We look forward to visiting it again soon
One of the few really nice things in Illinois

Went for a motorcycle ride there and had a burger and a Blake's cider also a veranda sausage sandwich and a Blake's cider. Been here before and wanted sweet potato fries but they don't serve until after 5pm. Beautiful day for it. Good service and good food.

Amazing building and decor. Super rustic but clear and cozy. Went for Sunday brunch after a hike and it amazing. All you can eat breakfast and lunch items for only $17 a person. Great quality food, great environment, awesome servers. The gift shop is nice and isn’t overpriced either. Loved it

Drinks were great and the quality of the food was amazing! Fireplace was exactly what we wanted. The whole family had a great meal. Salmon could have been better (overcooked and candied crust). Definitely going here tomorrow.

The restaurant is excellent, a great cozy atmosphere and excellent food. The service is quick and friendly. The buns they bring out before the meal are a real bonus, especially with butter. We always love going here.

This restaurant is unlike other tourist attractions in that the food is really remarkable. Outdoor seating was available and we were lucky to sit right on the edge of the canyon with an absolutely stunning view. Umbrellas were at each table to help block the sun along with 2 large sheets over one area to reduce it more. We had the Fish Tacos and the Beer Battered Walleye which both tasted incredibly fresh. Additionally the tacos came with tortilla chips and a black bean salsa, very tasty. Great service and a perfect way to conclude a hike through the park.
