This place was so great. We stayed as a couple (no kids) and a dog, and it was everything we wanted. There was a lake to swim, nearby hiking, and John and Mary were great hosts. Highly recommend to anyone traveling with their family or some friends.

Had a wonderful hunting trip in Maine, John and Mary at Canalside Cabins were great! We had a cozy little cabin with everything we needed. Great views and a beautiful lake. There is a general store close by which is very convenient. Highly recommend this place!!

John's lodge is exactly what you're hoping for when looking for a rustic (with wifi) lodge near this beautiful lake. I also fished with John as a guide for two days and caught plenty of bass and even got a landlocked salmon on a dry fly. Would recommend this spot to any and all sport fishermen, I also understand there is some incredible bear hunting in the fall/winter months and would recommend staying here for that as well.

We have been to Grand Lake Stream numerous times.
The Cabins are Very Clean and Rustic.
John has guided us successfully always catching more than our fair share of Small Mouth Bass not to mention the great lunches he prepared for us. We look foward to our fishing trips every year.

John and Mary are fantastic host. The cabins were clean, warm and had everything we needed for a four day weekend. Will absolutely be back again.

Superb cabins - close to the water. John and Mary (and Allen) are friendly, professional, and run a great operation. Clean rooms, full kitchen, VERY pet friendly. I stay there every year.

Enjoyed our short stay. Clean & cozy. Only negative was cabin we stated in had only twin beds.
