Best margarita, the salmon glazed with potatoes and the beef with goat cheese, was delicious. The flavors were amazing. I'm definitely coming back another time when visiting. I'm glad we stopped here. The service was good and the view was so beautiful, especially this time of the year. The foliage and the crisp weather. Really enjoyed our dinner there.

Try: quiche for brunch/lunch, forest floor soup and we always love their happy hour! 🙌🏽

One of the best views in Petoskey. We love Palette but haven’t been able to go as often now that we have an 18 month old. We decided to try lunch with him and they were great with service and allowing us to roam around when he got antsy.

Our server ( shoutout to Jasper ) helped us a lot with ordering the right amount of food for our table. As well as being very helpful and understanding of our needs. All of the food taste amazing and was delicious, the Winter Sour was a delicious nonalcoholic mock-tail that tasted just like the name. Small plates such as the Crab Cake and the Jamon Serono. The service was very quick and fairly organized.

Wonderful experience here all around. They were able to seat us at the bar on a very busy night right away while comparable restaurants gave us an hour wait. The bartenders were incredibly personable and helpful with suggesting drinks. Our food was fantastic. Plus I witnessed one of the bartenders step in for the host to make sure a customer wasn't left waiting. Truly dedicated and caring staff.

We had a great experience at Palette! Everything we ordered was delicious and the service was excellent. Definitely will return! We ordered the oyster appetizer, Kobe hanger steak, and the paella among other things and all were executed perfectly!

We had a late lunch on the upper deck as the sky got dark with rain. Beautiful! Great service - attentive staff and the owner stopped by. The dates are awesome - but rich. We had a cold cider to balance the goat cheese. Calabria pizza on the mark.

I cannot recommend Palette Bistro highly enough. They hosted our COVID wedding/elopement in 2020, and it could not have gone better. Everything was coordinated via email (which can be difficult!), yet everything still turned out beautifully, and honestly even better than we expected. They allowed us to have the entire upstairs private room for our event, with a stunning view of the water. The food was delicious, served timely, and exactly what everyone had ordered. The service itself was also incredible; the team was attentive, fast, friendly, and helpful. It felt like we had the entire restaurant to ourselves with the focus they allowed us. The pricing was very fair, especially for the quality and quantity of food and care we received. We never felt rushed or like we were overstaying our welcome. Thank you, Palette Bistro, for making our big day during COVID that much easier and more special. We will be back every time we are in the area.

Had my stepdaughters wedding rehearsal dinner here. Kelly was amazing with all questions I emailed her and being I live out of the state there was many questions. The staff was amazing and so friendly. The food was amazing! The lake view room had the most amazing sunset view! 100 percent recommend for all needs.

Thoroughly enjoyed the butternut squash soup, especially the extra touch of maple syrup sauce drizzle on top! Will definitely return.
Return for more: second visit was scenic, delish, and a wider sample. Stopped by to try the Forest floor soup, salad, and chocolate pudding. Although very good soup, I preferred the butternut squash soup. However dessert was ... extraordinary - chocolate pudding with ice cream and butterscotch drizzle. Big enough for two to have a nice size taste but not too big for one. A must try. Most delightful and calorie free - the view!!

Fantastic dinner! We had a wonderful experience - delicious food, beautiful views of the lake, and responsive service. The short rib and polenta melted in your mouth, and the baked chocolate pudding was heavenly. Couldn’t more highly recommend this incredible restaurant!

Cozy Mediterranean American spot with a view and a good bar program. Enjoyed my cocktails, as well as the wine list. Very impressed with the forest floor soup as well, it had a rich mushroom flavor without being too thick or heavy on the cream. There aren’t as many prominent independent restaurants in the Petosky area as there probably should be, which makes it extra nice to have Palette around. I Look forward to stopping back when I am in the area again.

The food, service, and atmosphere were all great! While it took my party a while to decide what we wanted to order, we never felt rushed or ignored by the staff. I had the seafood paella and strongly recommend adding the scallops- definitely worth it. Plus the view of The Lake just added to the overall experience. Next time I'll try and save room for dessert.

Great view of the bay. We had a reservation for an igloo but decided to eat inside when we saw how well they were social distancing.
I had caesar followed by dukkah salmon. My wife had forest floor soup and crab cakes. Creme brulee to finish. All very good. The soup was unusual and she highly recommends it. We really enjoyed the featured reds and whites.
Great service from Richard and nice atmosphere. We'll be back.

Dinner was delicious, each table get bread with oil & vinegar. The balsamic vinegar was yummy. We started with the Bay Street Salad in which the basil-buttermilk dressing was amazing. We then had the feature small plate of scallops and the dinner filet tips and seafood risotto. Every bite of the risotto plate was cooked perfectly. Staff was friendly and helpful, and bathrooms & dining room was clean. Really nice bar with extensive wine list and yummy cocktails. Our waiter Steve did and excellent job.

Ordered the forest floor soup and it was great. Served hot, tasted great. Crab cakes were good, complimentary potatoes were cooked perfectly. Acorn squash, quinoa was cooked excellently, lamb was great, and the curry sauce really topped it off. Price was in line with the quality of the food and service. Not to mention the view was great too.

I went to this place last year on my visit to Petoskey. I was blown away by the food quality. We were there again last week for dinner twice. It is not easy to please me in food, coming from another culture, but this place does it. The food, the drinks, appetizers, desserts were all of top quality. We had appetizer pizza, we could tell that all the ingredients were genuine and fresh. The mushroom soup, the entrees, the salad were all of high quality. There was a problem with my friend's order, but the manager (very attentive) replaced his item. Highly recommend this place to anyone visiting Petoskey.

Great location with lake and marina views! The wind was really high when we were there, and there were several people surfing Lake Michigan!

I’ve had the same dish twice (healthy salmon salad) it’s fantastic, but everyone posts photos of their food….I wanted to be different because I love the actual design of the space. Beautifully designed and curated….everything comes from That’s Living across the hallway and you can even buy the furniture, lighting, accessories and tableware (Porto Brazil is the brand) - just ask the staff..

We arrived to Petosky, Michigan for an anniversary dinner and every local person said we needed to get to Pallet Bistro for dinner. If you like mushrooms, the soup is a must have! The service, drinks, food, and desserts were phenomenal. Atypical menu, high quality food, and custom drinks with bartender "Ryan." Plan to spend a little money and you will not be disappointed! Highly recommend!

Dinner on Aug 11. Made reservation a day ahead. The thin oven pizza was great and my family all loved the pizza texture and flavor. Salad is good. Every table comes with complimentary bread. One suggestion is to heat up the bread before serving. The dessert chocolate pudding with ice cream is great. Great overall experience.
