Tillie's Tafel

Tillie’s Tafel gourmet cinnamon roll is the best cinnamon roll I’ve ever eaten! Not bragging, but I’ve eaten quite a few because I’m always in search of the perfect one. Their cinnamon roll edges are soft and fluffy… heavenly one might say… not hard/crunchy/crusty (aka gross). And, their icing is so good!!! Just do it. Get one. You know you want it!

PS: We’re from Alabama, just happened to be driving through and stopped. After eating this I thought, “Would I move to Petoskey, MI just for a cinnamon roll?” and the answer was yes. Luckily, they ship. I shipped some to my MIL, she loved them, and I will be ordering some for Christmas.

Great ambience, very cozy, clean eating area. I was immediately treated by very friendly staff. The fare is delicious, my Chai tea is the perfect sweetness and the cinnamon roll (graciously warmed by a very sweet girl) was absolutely delicious, soft and moist. I will definitely be back.

The grilled pecan roll…. Amazing. Best cinnamon roll I ever had. Make sure you get there early. Today they were out of cinnamon rolls by around 10am.

Love the manager at this location!!! Mr. Patrick very nice and patient to me when i ask the questions! the icing on these rolls are absolutely delicious, so moist and soft but can get messy though! so make sure bring a rag or grab some napkins from cthem when your their! 😂

The best cinnamon roll I’ve ever had! Delicious, fresh and so soft. I don’t think I’ll be able to enjoy cinnamon rolls for anywhere else every again. The taste and texture were perfection!

Met the bakers and staff and they’re super friendly. Told them I’d write this review after this second visit to ensure that the first visit was not a fluke. The rolls are some of the best I’ve ever had and am now telling all including locals about this treasure I’ve found. You will not be disappointed!!

Okay, so I don’t leave reviews often. But this is without a doubt, the best cinnamon roll I’ve had in my life.

I won a raffle basket last summer and included in it was a gift certificate for a 6 pack of cinnamon rolls from Tillie’s Tafel. I decided to call and redeem the prize and to my delight, the owner arranged for the cinnamon rolls to be shipped out to me that week. They arrived in a cooler and were packaged perfectly for the long trip to Seattle, Washington! Thank you Tillie’s Tafel! We thoroughly enjoyed the delicious cinnamon rolls and appreciated the friendly customer service too! The cinnamon rolls were a special treat to receive and enjoy! Thanks again!!

Cute bakery with the best cinnamon rolls ever. Warm them for about 30seconds in the microwave and they're perfect. So good we went back both mornings during our weekend getaway in Petoskey. Can't wait to go back.

These cinnamon rolls HIT THE SPOT. Homemade, fluffy, cinnomon-y, frosting-y goodness. The tastes and textures blend so well, anf each bite is a new wave of delicious. 😋 Cinnamon roles are $6 ea, and coffee is $3. So worth a stop on your visit to Petoskey. You can eat in or take it with you to go. The owner (Tillie's grandson) helpped us personally and made us feel very welcome. And if you have a four-legged, barking, furry friend, you can buy homemade treats for them, too!

We are staying in Mackinaw City and decided to drive to Petoskey. This bakery's reviews made us want to stop. The young man working at the counter was friendly and gave us great service. We got a coffee and four pack of Cinnamon Rolls. The cinnamon rolls are big, they are $ 5.00 each and delicious. The atmosphere was friendly with other employees. Great experience. We put the Cinnamon Rolls in the microwave 20 seconds.

I really feel that it is common knowledge that these are the best cinnamon rolls in the area. The dough is a great flavor and texture, plenty of cinnamon, and great icing, not the yucky basic powdered sugar and water kind, creamy and buttery. Now I need one

Best cinnamon roll I’ve had from a store! I’d highly recommend you try them! My wife and I usually warm them for 20-30 seconds in the microwave and you would swear they are fresh from the oven. Friendly and professional service as well!

Am visiting from Australia and was urged to try these cinnamon rolls. Definitely live up to the hype. Absolutely delicious. Will try consume a few more before our holiday is over.

Amazing! I love cinnamon rolls and these are by far the BEST I have had! They are soft, have just the right amount of cinnamon (for me) and the frosting has the perfect amount of sweetness to top it off! Thank you so much for coming to Petoskey with your sweet little shop!

Driving into Petoskey last night I saw the “GOURMET CINNAMON ROLLS” sign and knew we needed to start our morning there today. I walked in and was warmly greeted by a young woman and man. They asked what I’d like and I told them I’d never been here before. The man explained that his Grandma Tillie’s recipe is used every morning to make fresh cinnamon rolls. Y’all. They were still warm! To top it off, free coffee today! What a lovely way to start my morning. I’m making note and every time we come up north, we’ll be making a trip to Tillie’s Tafel. Thank you for the kind greeting, warm rolls (which, don’t tell MY grandma, but they are definitely the best cinnamon rolls I’ve ever had), hot coffee and smiles!

Cinnamon Rolls are so good. Pre-order or get there early because they sell out fast.
