Karner Blue Campground

Awesome campground. My wife and I absolutely love it here.. It is a great place to relax and enjoy some peace and quiet. Very friendly people, and a great place to bring the dog and hike through the woods and go for a dip in the pond. Just a short drive to downtown Montague in case you want to play a tourist for the day or to enjoy a bite to eat. If you are looking for all the bells and whistles like playgrounds and a pool for the kids this isn’t the place for you. However if you are looking for nice peaceful spot with electric and water hook up this is the perfect spot.

If you are looking for a quite, peaceful, and friendly campground this is your place. It has the basic amenities like water, electric, and a pump out station. It’s a no frills, easy going location with lots of acreage to walk. We love our seasonal spot!

We loved our stay at this campground! The hosts were super friendly, the sites were just right and it was a quiet setting right near hiking. But I did way more biking! I clocked it as 1.25 miles between my campsite and the Hart-Montague bike trail. Biked ~28 miles into Muskegon mostly staying on trails and had a ton of fun! Great jumping off point for beaches, hiking & biking — I can’t wait to come back.

A Hidden Gem ❤ I almost don't want to review and give our little secret away lol. However, Not too far from the highway, but far enough you don't hear any road traffic. Never too busy, with nice little hiking trails right on site! Every site has electric/water hookups. Port-A-Johns are fairly clean for what they are. The owners do a drive around in the morning which is nice and welcoming. Cheap firewood provided on site. My family has been here 3 times now and intend to visit Karner Blue any time we're in the area! Only 30mins from Silver Lake Sand Dunes. 15min drive to Meinert Park on Lake Michigan. So much to see in this area, the campsites location is awesome!

I highly recommend it, 5 stars isn't a great enough rating for what you get what you come here!

Fantastic place to reset & recharge! If you like to bike, hike or even float down the White River you found the perfect spot. It’s a great home base if you like to 2-track and explore the National Forest. I can not wait to stay again! Thanks for everything Brody & Brandon! We will be out soon to camp again!

Great place to be!!! If I had more time, I would of spent my whole summer here!! Great job to Brody and family thar have worked so hard to accomplish their dream of having a Campground. I look forward to more time next year!!!!! Great people and peace of mind to stay at. Thank you for all you've done for me.

Karner Blue was a wonderful spot for me and a couple of friends to do some laid back camping! It’s a safe haven close to Whitehall and Montague. The spots were spacey and more than enough to have a table and our RV. Great water and electric hook ups and the best priced firewood in the area. We were welcomed by Brandon and Brody and their intentionality to connect with us was vibrant! Honestly only place for glamping you should be considering in middle Michigan!

Nice quiet campground.
Brody and Brandon was extremely helpful and nice. Only had one small hiccup with the electrical being so new, but was fixed fast. Everyone was nice. The sites were very spacious. Karner blue is definitely a campground you have to check out! We will be back!

We absolutely love this campground. It's just rustic enough without being rough. It has good water and VERY clean outhouses. There is a small lake to wander around and explore and we have seen lots of different wildlife during our visits there.

Nice grassy out-of-the-way campground on a nice man-made lake. you can ride your ATV or go kayaking. The only problem was that it doesn’t have sewer hook up but it does have a dumping station other than that everybody was very friendly and you can have campfires which you cannot have in the Montague campground. There is a Porta, John, but no showers.

Very tranquil and quiet. There was definitely a presence of fuzzy caterpillars…they were everywhere!The Port-a potties were clean and water seemed clean.

Very quiet campground. They have 25 sites with water and electric. Only 5 other campers were here the weekend we were, and only two of the campers had people staying in them. There are no showers/bathrooms, only portapotties. Not what we expected. The lake is difficult to get to, very weedy, and there was garbage on the "beach". It looks like there have been some upgrades, but this place needs showers.

This place here is good place of quiet time of your own self . Not for family here no actives . There's about 10 to 15 sites here for tents only water and electric here for this they are not too highly priced here 325.00 a month for nice fair size of a lot . If they want more ppl to enjoy this place then you have to invest in full service for your r.v but if you have your own honey wagon it's not too bad they do have a dump here and 2 portables toilets but they will be gone after this weekend .
I do hope they grow into a great campground here it has potential for growth here if they do it right .
