Hide Out Resort

This has become a Summer tradition for us. Cabins are continuously upgraded, clean and comfortable. Jamie and family are wonderful hosts. And the setting and water access are fantastic. On top of that, the pricing is very attractive. We love this place!

We, Patti and I, and a group of our friends (sometimes another couple, other times 7 or 8 other couples) have been coming here at least once a year for fishing and fun for the last 8 years. Great accommodations, wonderful owners/staff, excellent boat/pontoon rental, and good fishing. Just a well run resort. A "tip of the cap" to Jamie and his family for doing such a great job.

We have been going to The Hideout Resort for quite a few years...I think 8 times. Our group of friends and relatives has numbered 15 at the highest and 4 at the fewest. Jamie and his family are very good people. We've had a problem a time or two with our equipment and Jamie has been able to look around his place and come-up with whatever odd part we've needed to get us back on the lake.
The cabins are comfortable and a couple of them have beautiful new additions to the front - which are all enclosed with big windows and screens.
The cabins are well equipped and the lake is steps away from most of them. The dock is great and getting on the lake and off the lake is easy.
The lake itself is a nice size - but you can get to many other lakes from Big Rice...you can even take your boat to go out for a nice dinner at a place on the lake not too far down from the hideout.
The fishing has been mostly good for us. Our first trip there was the ultimate in catching fish...so we are always chasing that first time experience. We usually go at the end of May - and we have almost alway had rain...but this has not kept us from fishing...and we've done well in the rain!
They have 2 pontoons and we've rented one several times when we have had people in our party with mobility issues - fishermen who might not ever be able to fish if it were not for the pontoons. That has been such a plus for us!
It's worth going to Hideout just to sit in one of the resorts big rustic glider/swings toward evening and take in the most beautiful sunsets.
We have never been disappointed in the Hideout ...and you won't be either!

My grandparents started coming to the Hideout in the 1950s. My parents, us kids and cousins, our children, and now my grand children come. We are so grateful for the time together up here each year. Jamie and his family treat us as their own. Wonderful place!

Incredibly friendly people, great prices, awesome area, and nice lake!!! We stumbled upon it and took a chance and we WILL be coming back up here!!! Definitely recommend if you're looking to rent a cabin or even a nice campsite!
