Viking Bay Resort & Lodge on Lake Miltona

We arrived unexpectedly and were met by Bill who accommodated myself and my family with a Loge room. The staff were really friendly (Minnesota nice) We had a fire at the community fire pit to ourselves (free wood) and my son played at the beach for hours. This resort is best visited with a boat in tow and a fishing rod in hand. The rooms are cozy and quiet with jacuzzi bath (that was super nice). The rooms are clean with all the nature you can track in you are asked to do the spot cleaning before you leave. I have no complaints! Thank you, Viking bay and Bill

The resort was perfect for us to attend the Carlos Creek Winery. All inquiries were answered promptly and graciously. We were welcomed as friends. We did not use all of the features of the resort but what a treat to see the lodge rooms had a whirlpool tub. The rooms and resort were very clean and well cared for. We did relax on the beach with a bonfire and the stay was perfect for the 4 sisters/cousins. We will be back.

We stayed in a cabin and used one of the ten boat launches. We had WiFi and there were several bedrooms. The sheets were provided, as well as some soap, etc. There's a beach and a safe swim area, as well as fishing options. Our family comes every year for a family reunion and we all love it.

The owners were friendly, helpful, and the amenities available rival any other luxury hotel line. You have an option of renting a single room or small cabin/lodge for a larger group of people, too! Each of the small cabins comes with its own firepit/firewood. Plenty of different family activities available to do right on the grounds, and equipment available if you don’t have your own for different water activities! There is also a community fire pit with free firewood available, and large playground, not to mention a beautiful grill surrounded by great patio furniture if you don’t feel like going into town for dinner! Nearby there is a fantastic winery that also boasts a Norse brew-pub with wood-fired pizza and awesome beer!
I highly recommend this venue for weddings, and the Viking Bay resort for the pre-wedding/ honeymoon!

Loved my stay at this well managed, clean, homely and affordable place. Right on the lake with an all year round fantastic view, in a quiet but absolutely safe place. The staff was more than friendly and they are not your typical 'looking for tips' people. All you'll ever hear from them is hope to see you again.

I'd recommend this place for couple, family with kids, absolutely anybody.

My family has been making a stay at Viking Bay an annual tradition for a number of years. We’ve stayed in cabins and the lodge, and have taken advantage of most if not all of the resort’s features. It’s clean, comfortable, reasonably priced, and the owners are awesome. We highly recommend it for a Minnesota lakeshore getaway—especially if you like fishing for muskies and huge pan fish and want to stay on a lake that’s got these fish!

One of my favorite places to be. Beautiful beach and swim area, they provide kayaks and paddle boards for free, have a bunch of water side firepits which they provide plenty of wood for, and it's just a beautiful resort. Some of the cabins are a bit cramped and older, but they work and I dont come here to sit inside. They've already replaced a couple cabins, so they're doing their best to stay up to date. Like I said, one of my favorite places to be in the summer!

fishing could have been better but staying at Viking Bay resort was an awesome experience. The resort owners are phenomenal people. They take excellent care of their customers. If you're looking for resort call bill at Viking Bay resort. You won't be disappointed. we weren't.

Nice clean house with nice cooking utensils. Nice shore line. Lots of different cabins, lodges and rooms to choose from. Have been here several times and will be back
