Olive Branch Restaurant & Bar

We looked for a dog friendly outdoor restaurant, and the Olive Branch was recommended. We were pleased with not only how friendly and accommodating the staff and owner were (we have an elderly dog that we needed to take on our trip to Greenport), but how delicious and well presented our food was. I had the juiciest, most tender, flavorful lamb kabobs I’ve ever had in my life, with tasty rice and savory grilled vegetables. My husband had chicken gyro, with the freshest soft pita, and veggies. I don’t know how the chef makes such flavorful fluffy rice, but wish I could make it this way at home. Each bite of food had it’s own distinct flavor, all of which complimented the other perfectly. The staff was so friendly and even offered our dog his own bowl of water (we had a travel bowl). The owner even came over to say ‘hi’ to our dog (you can tell by the way he spoke to our dog that he’s a real dog-lover himself). The outdoor courtyard was cheerfully decorated with brightly covered shades and umbrellas, with vertical herb gardens adorning the walls (so you know the herbs are freshly picked for each dish). The indoor area was just as cheerfully decorated, with spotlessly clean restrooms. We enjoyed dining here so much, we wished we had returned for dinner. (Because dinner elsewhere wasn’t as good as our lunch was at the Olive Branch). Our only regret is that we don’t live closer, to eat here more often-we will definitely eat here again when we return-absolutely delicious!

The staff was very welcoming, polite, and attentive. The food was served promptly; was hot and delicious; and were reasonably portioned. The ambiance of the restaurant was absolutely beautiful; it felt like we were transported to a cozy European outdoor cafe. There was even a live piano performance. Everything was delectable and I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone visiting Greenport in Long Island.

Excellent experience, the servers were very friendly and fast. The food was phenomenal, an absolute must if you're in this area.

The cocktails were not very good frankly, but I can't recommend this place enough.

Beautiful ambiance of a nice Turkish restaurant. Ordered the muhammara to start. Great walnut spread infused with red peppers. Wow. Dip pita bread into it. Looks very spicy but has a
Slight sweetness to it.
Make sure you get the sparkling Turkish water. Big huge blue bottle. Makes the dinner.
Ordered the lamb shank paired with jasmine rice, roasted vegetables, and a nice tomato sauce. The lamb shank was super tender and fell apart with a fork. Tremendous amounts of flavor. Yum!
Also ordered the salmon entree with the same pairings. Very delicious.
Service and the weather was perfect to eat outside at this restaurant. Not a Greek place by any means. So don’t come and ask for a gyro with fries.

Flavorful, fresh, delicious food. Great service. Generous portions. Favorites were: babà ganoush , stuffed grape leaves, lamb kebab, chicken kebab and chicken schnitzel kebab. Beautiful outdoor seating. Cool Turkish music. Dog friendly and gluten and dairy free friendly.

This meal was positively outstanding and delicious! Wonderful service as well! The owner is from Turkey and is the cook, waits tables as well. The hummus and warm pita would have been enough with the Turkish salad for a meal. We added Turkish wine, Turkish tea and coffee. Absolutely some of the best food we have ever eaten ! My husband and I shared the lamb chops with a wonder yogurt sauce, jasmine rice and a mix of tabuleh and lentils. Also beautifully presented!!!!

The atmosphere is nice, especially, lunch outside at noon was very delightful. The turkish food was not salty, good and healthy looking. The service guy was very friendly. Very enjoyable experience.

My wife and I recently had the pleasure once again to dine at the Olive Branch restaurant and bar in Greenport. We ride out from Oceanside. A 2 hour ride well worth it. I must say, it was as always, a delightful experience. The moment you step inside, you're greeted by a cozy and inviting atmosphere that sets the tone for a great meal. The service is impeccable. We were there on a Thursdays late afternoon with few people out that day. So we were fortunate to have the owner Yusuf take our order and serve us. He made us feel right at home. But what truly stood out was the exceptional Turkish Mediterranean food they serve. From the creamy hummus to the savory spinach Kopita and the delectable stuffed Grape leaves, every dish was a testament to their commitment to homemade goodness. The grill selections were equally impressive, delivering delicious dinners that left us craving for more. And you can't forget the Baklava, which I dare to say is the best I've ever tasted, even as someone of Greek heritage. To complement our meal, we enjoyed a glass of Egeo Cabernet and a traditional Turkish Coffee, which proved to be a fitting end to the dinner. One of the remarkable aspects is the owners personal touch. Yusuf took time to speak with us, making my birthday celebration all the more special. The Olive Branch is without a doubt, the best restaurant in Greenport. Its d dining experience my wife and i will remember always. I highly recommend you stop in and enjoy as we did. You will not be disappointed.

Wow what a treasure. My chicken shish kabob was delightful. Every morsel was amazingly delicious. I sat outside and the weather was just perfect. I wanted the baklava but I didn't have room!

We just met the most amazing person and personality ever. Youssouf, the owner, is the most generous, kind and interesting person we have ever talked to. Not mentioning his food, which was absolutely perfect and true. We will definitely come back sooner than later. Thank you again for that memorable night .. 🙏🏼

We brought our baby boy in a stroller and he was a bit fidgety—owner was so nice and found a quiet corner for my husband to rock the baby to sleep.

My mother was with us and very picky about food, especially seafood—but both my parents loved the dorado and fried chicken. The outdoor seating area is also very pretty and breezy with a lot of shade in the way of umbrellas and trees. Very enjoyable experience.

This beautiful and cozy restaurant, from its lovely garden to the elegant interiors, is already in itself the best places to go eat authentic, delicious, and exciting mediterranean food along high quality wine and drinks. However, the heart of this place lies in the owner, who is also the chef, and in his amazing staff. The Olive Branch will always have a place in my heart.

This place is a gem in Greenport , I love their Turkish and healthy Mediterranean dishes.
Personally I am picky with seafood, especially fish. This place makes the best branzino, I wish there was a place like this in the city too.
The version of their EVO and herbs comes with the fish is amazing

Wonderful food and outdoor dining experience on the patio with terrific live music. Super friendly staff and Michelle was warm, welcoming and very accommodating.

In the heart of Greenport yet set back a bit from the street. We sat at an outside table which was very pleasant. The food was reasonably priced and very tasty. I enjoyed the Small Combination Platter with generous portions of interesting small plates. The service was excellent and our friends small dog was welcome.

Joseph, a man with many talents, gave us superior service during my birthday meal. The food was absolutely delicious 😋.

All though at first it might seem a bit confusing as to where you go to be seated, the staff make up for it with their great service, and the chef makes up for it with his fantastic food. The Lamb kebab was the best lamb I'd ever had to be frank, and the Turkish tea was the perfect thing to follow. If your in Greenport and looking for some good fish or meat, this is most definitely the best place for you.

The food was absolutely delicious. Amy and Ulas are great, attentive, and kind. Both of them made our brunch even more special. I cannot recommend them, and the food enough. Great place to go in Greenport village with amazing servers.
