Country Store of Eagle River

Very nice place to pick up their homemade candies. They are the best I've ever tasted. This is the second time we've gone there for Christmas gifts of candy. They do a wonderful job of it.

Very good service, and I really enjoy getting some candy for my youngest niece. And also trying the showgirls truffle, it was very good.

Old time candy store with excellent homestyle products. This is a must stop for anyone visiting Eagle River. In addition to chocolates, and other candies, you can choose carmel corn , candy apples, and ice cream cones.

Sooo many different kinds of candies and sweets. Ice cream at the rear of the store. Great place to stop in for a snack during a day of shopping downtown.

The ice cream is fantastic, and reasonably priced. We all had Blue Moon flavored sprinkle cones, and the presentation and service was top notch. The candy store inside features many vintage sweets that are very difficult to find elsewhere, and also priced fairly. All in all, this will be on our re-visit list the next time we travel to Eagle River.

Amazing taffy apples, their sponge candy is amazing too. The caramel was old and hard, a far cry from the guy behind the counter saying it was the best anywhere and it melts in your mouth. It actually had a slight crunch due to drying out. I personally wouldn’t have hyped it up like that unless I knew it was fresh lol overall this is one of the awesome little candy shops in Eagle River and a must if you are looking for a gift for someone that has a sweet tooth. They have tons of old fashioned candies and unlike Tremblay’s, they are open regardless of the season.

AMAZING!! Compared to Trembley's across the street. Tried: 1/2 lb each of chocolate and Maple fudge (both Trembleys and Country Store). The winner: if you like softer, creamier fudge - Country Store. Both tasted amazing! Like it should in Wisconsin. The Country Store also had a much better old time candy selection, and the old lemon drops were incredible! Also tried at bot locations, the Cashew Brittle. OMG WOW - clear winner - Country Store. So so so caramel milky, I never had any this great before. Everyone else said the same thing! Found a new fav!

I LOVE the ice cream parlor in back! The gentleman who makes the malts/ server ice cream is very friendly. And maybe as happy that your going to be eating ice cream as you are!! His happiness is contagious! Sadly- then you're happy and are more than willing to drop a mint on assorted candy your kids want trying to get back out the door 🤣

The staff was friendly we got served quickly and efficiently. Love their hand scooped ice cream cones. Large selection of fudge, chocolate and candies as well.

Fun store for anyone with a sweet tooth. Has not changed much in the last 30 years for thouse coming back to visit!

My visit happened at the end of the busy season, and the store was a bit mobbed after Cranberry Fest. But the salespersons Manning the counter kept it together and kept the people moving. All smiles, too. This store is an annual must visit. I've been visiting since the 70's. Thanks for the years of great experiences!

The best!! I love their dark chocolate truffles! So creamy and delicious! Everything is so good!

(Please forgive my screen name- my children like to use my YouTube account.) There is a patron here that is posting ridiculous reviews about pornography in this store. His review must be out of some other anger, because this is a very clean and comfortable store!!! (I take my 9 and 6 yr old here!!!) There is absolutely nothing pornographic about this friendly hometown shop. I had already given this establishment 5 stars, however, I've chosen to change my review, (over a year later almost now), because of HIS inappropriate review. I want people to know that what he is saying is not true. We have had a home in the Northwoods for over 10 years and this is just ridiculous. Please do not stop going to this store because of him. Please read all the reviews before you make your choice or just go into the place and enjoy yourself and you will see that he is wrong. I'm sorry I just feel personally offended because I love the area and I know the shop even though I don't know all the people!

Going hard candies I hadn't seen in decades! Great ice cream flavors. Everyone was either masked or following appropriate social distancing, felt safe going in!

One of the best candy shops you'll ever go to anywhere. The caramel apples in the fall are the best I've ever had. They also serve some pretty good ice cream

Best candy store in the northwoods! They corner candy store is only open during the summer however the main store is open year round. Salt water taff, turtles, fudge, old fashioned candies, the list goes on and on. Come fall, they mak delicious caramel apples. Valentine's day they make chocolate dipped strawberries, Easter homemade chocolate eggs, something for everyone!!

The fudge is amazing. Main reason I went there today. All is great customer service. Tonya checked me out today and assisted me and did a phenomenal job. If in the area make sure to check this place out.
