Boysen Berry Farm

This was my boys' first experience going berry picking and they loved it. Easy to find place, not crowded. There were painted rocks for the kids to find along the way. Berries tasted so good. We brought home a bucket full to make jam! They took card or venmo as well as cash. Nice farm!

I visited the farm, for the first time, during the first week of June. It was my first time at a U-Pick Farm. The hosts were very welcoming and gave me instructions. I picked 4 1/2 pounds of Boysenberries, and purchased a Boysenberry plant. It was a wonderful experience I would love to do again next year despite the distance the farm is located from me, as I live in Los Angeles County. If I lived closer to the farm, I would go everyday and pick enough boysenberries to make Boysenberry Lemonade, Boysenberry pies, etc!

Loved this place! Picking our own berries was really fun. You can pick as many as you want and you pay only $6 a pound or $5 with a coupon. There are lots of rows of boysenberries to choose from. They taste so good. Plan on getting a couple pounds. They freeze well too!

My friends and I always have a great time at the Boysenberry Farm. The owners are friendly and the boysenberries are delicious. There are always plenty of berries to pick and everything you need is provided along with great advice! I’ll be back next year!

Thank you Boysen Berry Farm! This was our first visit to the farm and our first time picking boysenberrys. You were welcoming and informative. Picking berries was easy and plentiful. Thank you for having buckets just the right size with bag liners. Made it so easy to transport home. Who knew we would pick a total of 17 lbs between two families. Let the jam and pie making begin! My family and I had a blast picking berries last weekend! We picked three buckets full and two days later I went back by myself to pick another! I spent a whole day making pies and cobblers, everyone loved them! Highly recommend this place!!

We had such a great time! So easy to pick and walk through! And pie is gone! So no picture of that haha but oh my delicious!

This is a great place, we went in last year and bought some syrup and three plants/ starts for our own boysenberry vines and they all grew. I'm anxious to see how many berries we get in the springtime, Tom was quite helpfull in give advice as to propagation and care, His wife very welcoming and knowledgable as to how the bosenberry came into being by her Grandfather. Very disappointed that they had a very poor crop in 2022 and hope they are more successful in 2023, They have a good and growing bussiness, visit often!

We had an amazing time picking boysenberries! It was well worth the drive from Phoenix! The hospitality that Tom showed us was beyond anything we could have expected! I made a pie the next day and it was delicious! We picked enough to bring home and freeze so we can have boysenberries all year! I am looking forward to coming back next year and making this an annual event! Thank you Tom and Nettie!

My husband and I arrived mid morning st the Berry Farm. After a short walk, I have a cane, we reached the starting point. We were given instructions and a bucket and sent on our way. It was not really hot yet so it was pleasant walking through the aisles. As tall people, we easily reached the higher berries with little effort. A few samples made the picking pleasant. We finished and returned to the starting area easily.We paid and had an interesting conversation with the owner about the history of the berries. We now have several jars of beautiful, tasty jam that I'm hiding away. A thoroughly enjoyable experience with delicious results. Linda George Feel free to edit!

Our family enjoys visiting Boysen Berry Farm every year. The owners are so very friendly and we always have the best time. We make wonderful memories and get to take home the best berries! This is our annual tradition and we look forward it every year.

Absolutely an awesome experience. The staff was very kind and helpful. I really enjoyed having our own row. It made it very easy to keep our toddler nearby and still give her the opportunity to pick boysen berries and enjoy the sunshine. (Without mom chasing her everywhere) Check out was quick and easy. They really have a great system going. If I could give 6/5 stars I would. Plan on coming back every year.

Berries are delicious and we'll taken care of! I have visited multiple times this wear and used berries for freezer pies, scones, cobblers, smashed on ice cream, and frozen for later!! They are beautiful and flavorful!!

We had a wonderful time at the Boysenberry farm! The staff was so friendly, and let us know they were all fully vaccinated, and really followed Covid guidelines well. There was only one family per row, but you could move rows with your family as long as no one else was in there. I felt very safe and like I was far away from everyone else. On top of that, the berries were amazing, probably the best I’ve ever had. I will definitely be going again!

Thanks to the Chico Enterprise Record for their article that made me aware of this delightful berry farm. I love u-pick farms and local organic produce. The berries here are delicious, sweet and plump and juicy. Easy to pick. Family friendly. I almost hesitated about writing a review; I didn’t want the word to spread on this local gem. Don’t want to have to compete for the berries. But the owners deserve a good review. They have a lovely farm and a superior product. I can’t wait to go back

We had a stellar time at the Boysen Berry Fam! It’s very organized, and picker-friendly. This was our first year. I picked about a gallon delicious berries ( not counting the ones I ate!) 😉 Next year I’ll bring berry baskets to transport my berries—they’re so tender. There’s good advice on their website in preparation for picking. I was really glad I had a leather glove to move the vines around, and the paint stick they supplied was also super useful. We’ll be back next year for more of these wonderful berries.

Took a drive here from Napa on a whim because I wanted to make jam. I found a beautiful farm and wonderful owners. Not to mention that the berries are the absolute BEST I've ever had!! Friendly relaxed atmosphere and lovely well taken care of berry vines. If you love berries it's worth a trip for sure!

We had a wonderful time (2 adults, 6&7 yr old kids) picking berries, looking for treasures & even finding bird nests! Back home we continued the fun learning & made 9 jars of boysenberry jam to share. Great experience for the kids & adults alike. Can’t wait to go back next year.
