P I Pub

We love this place. Got the Wednesday Nighy bluegill speciall and it came with a great bowl of cheesy French onion soup. No price was mentioned in the menu and we were a bit shocked to pay $23 for a fish fry. Guess that is our fault for not asking in advance.

A small place with a rustic country ambiance. The wait staff was very nice and the food was fresh, very hot and the order was exactly correct. The fried chicken was very good and the soup was unique and delicious. The chicken and fries are top tier. The menu selection is not extensive but varied and includes a wide selection of appetizers and pizzas. The prices are very reasonable. A great place to eat after a busy day.

We had a great time here! Such good food, friendly service! Everyone’s order was fantastic. The chicken tenders we got for the kids was devoured by everyone at the table it was so good. Excellent fried cheese curds (even better with chipotle sauce), fish tacos, walleye sandwich, and pub burger. Great rye bread, made in house! We will be back!!

The best pizza in the north woods! Also amazing daily soups in rotation. This place is like a warm hug, we visit every time we visit family in Presque Isle. Also love their Wednesday fish fry option!

Really enjoyed our Oriental Day orange chicken and a delicious burger.

Always a great time at the Pub! The owners, Byron and Steph, are amazing and Tyler is the best bartender in town!! A must stop if you're heading thru PI any time of the year!!!

Our sweet bartender was the only one working today due to another employee out with an injury. She knocked it out of the park!! She was friendly and on top of it, despite running her butt off!!! Great job girl!!

The pizza was great highly recommended, just not a Friday lol it will be a wait.

A group of us stopped in for dinner. I got the chicken wings which were delicious. Good sized drumsticks. We had an order of nachos which were huge. Place was clean and staff were friendly. We had Olivia waiting on us, she was awesome. Kept the drinks comin.

The restaurant was busy tonight. Our wait wasn't long and our server, Olivia was great.
Food was excellent. All of the staff were great even though it was really busy.
They obviously trained for this occasion.

We stayed at a home in Presque Isle & drove by the pub everyday & noticed they were always packed no matter the time or day. We ordered the Reuben w Potato Salad & Coleslaw also the Patty Melt w Curds...YUM! We have traveled to Minocqua, Manitowish Waters, Arbor Vitae, Boulder Junction, etc. for yrs now & PI Pubs food has been by far w/out question the best food we have eaten up North. We are back home now, & I'm wishing we were closer so that I could order! Next time we come up North we plan to drive out of the way to get their food!!! Very friendly staff & customers!

Absolutely a must! Food is really good, my wife and I both had Reubens ...amazing! Place was packed and that's always a good thing, our hostess, who also was our waitress was spot on professional and sweet, cute lil blonde thing if the owners read this...definitely on the list for us every time we're up....

Great food and service. We came for the Fish Fry and curds, and they did not disappoint. Definitely will come back!

Best chicken I've had in years. We had 6 in our group and sat at the bar. Everything was good. We even asked for ice because the gas station was closed at 6pm. Owners were kind enough to set up with ice. Made our night!!

Our group had dinner/cocktails. Have frequented this restaurant before, but now under new ownership/ management. Food is very good. Prices reasonable.
Because the surrounding area has suffered with lack of needed help, some restaurants have adjusted hours/days with others so they may all continue to serve. Therefore, there is a shortage (usually in off-season) of restaurants to accommodate tourists and locals alike. Check if reservations are needed, because traveling throughout Northwoods should be enjoyable, not marred by long waits or unavailability.

A few years ago I gave this 1 star. However, it's now new management and new food. I can't say enough good things about PI Pub now! Staff was friendly and the food was amazing. The ahi tuna tacos were better than anything we've had downtown Chicago which kind of broke my brain how good it was! The pizza was also very good I was told and the French fries were also very very good. Wish we had this place down south!

2022 update - everything I suggested has been fixed. We love going to PI Pub and always get great service and excellent food! They work hard and do their best to have orders out on time.

We've had a place in PI for over 14 years. We quit going to the pub 8 years ago due to bad service. Now there are new owners so we were excited to give it another shot.
Our first experience was dining in everything was great, food was excellent (fish fry and chicken), service was on par with any place in the area.
This week we ordered carry out twice. On Friday we were given a time for pick up, we showed up got in line and checked in. The food wasn't ready, so we waited outside for 15 minutes and asked again. The response from the staff was: "your order is not done and I have no idea when it will be done". OK, if it isn't going to be ready, then tell us to come later or just be honest up front. We chalked this up to a busy Friday night.
Tonight we ordered carry out to try again. Unfortunately our experience wasn't any better than on Friday. We were told it would be ready in 40 minutes, 7pm. We showed up, got in line and waited. After being ignored by the servers for 10 minutes I stopped one to ask about our order. She said she would check on it. After passing me time and time again I found another and she said she would check on it. If I hadn't tracked them down, I'd probably still be standing there. They finally found our order, then ran my card before I signed. When I reviewed the receipt, it had a mixed drink on it, I never had a drink. She couldn't figure out how to take it off the bill, then gave me cash for the mistake. As a business owner myself, I'm not writing this review to trash anyone, I just want to make the owner / management aware of your carry out issues. One server should be assigned to carry out, rather than "whoever happens to be standing there". We look forward to eating your delicious food again and hope these things can be improved.

We haven’t been to this place in several years. Went with friends after hearing there was new ownership. Very clean and a beautiful bar. Had chicken tacos and they were very, simply, delicious! Maybe offer to add cheese for those who wish to add that flavor to their taco:). The waitress was delightfully kind and our service was excellent. Stop in!
