Lake Ridge RV Resort

Definitely a great family location. Such kind and attentive staff & on-site owners! They truly care for their guests and thrive to give you a good experience with your stay. We just visited (our 2nd trip) and got to enjoy fall weather and beautiful fall scenery & decor. Oh and you have to check out the craft room! We made Tye-Dye shirts, so FUN for the whole family!

This is a beautiful facility in Hillsville, VA. We stayed here on our trek across the country and specifically chose it because of their Halloween celebration pictures. What we found was a large facility with a combination of residents, there is a private area, as well as a campground, on a very large, beautiful facility in the hills of Virginia. This facility is extremely community oriented and well attended by the local community. They have events campers are invited to that celebrate the local schools and other organizations. During our specific stay the had a Halloween oriented carnival to benefit the local school. They also had karaoke at night and a campground bonfire. One might think the festivities would be discouraging because of the sound, but the music and all events (if you do not wish to attend) are kept away from the main camping area so sound was not an issue.
The facility is kept extremely clean including all grounds and restrooms and is full of trees and nature. Staff are constantly driving around ensuring everything is picked up and asking if there are any issues or needs by campers.
Amenities include paddle boats, miniature golf, up to date arcade, basket ball and more. During the summer season they have a great pool and amazing looking water slides.
This facility is a bit off the main highway, but is well worth the drive. We were very impressed with the service and friendliness of staff as well as the amenities and beauty of this park at a great price point. We would definitely stay here again if we are back to Virginia.

Great campground with lots of friendly people, its like one big family. There are lots of new activities planned for kids as well as adults happening on weekends. New upgrades going on by new owners who you can actually meet. Friendly and really care and want things to look nice as well inviting and fun. Just come, stay a couple of nights and you will notice the changes and FUN that's happening. We love it here its our 2nd home!!

Great Family Campground! There is plenty to do for the whole family Swimming, water slides, 5 acre Lake for fishing and paddle boating, mini golf( new mini golf course coming 2024 season) 3 miles of walking trails and a snack bar that has wings, pizza, Nachos, hotdogs and Hand dipped Hershey ice cream🍦. Friendly staff and owners. Themed weekends. Great Campground! I have enjoyed coming here for 7 years and will continue to make this my Happy Place!

My entire family had not been on vacation together since before COVID. It turned out to be a great experience for all of us.

I rented a cabin in the woods near the lake. (C33). It was perfect for our little group, since we had day visitors.

The facilities were exceptional. The pools were great. The water slides were a blast.

On our way home, my nephew said the best thing about the resort was the staff. I had to agree.

We had so much fun we came back a week later for a day trip!

We needed a tent site near the interstate at 8:00 p.m.for overnight stay, and were graciously accommodated with this Campground including taken to our site and shown the facilities. Felt safe/secure, quiet for tent camping. Nice clean rest rooms & shower facilities. Thank you so much for a much needed quick overnight stay!! Glad we saw your signs from the interstate.

My husband, myself and our three kids spent 3 days in one of the cabins. It was clean and had everything we needed. It was also pet friendly so our dog could join! Prices were reasonable, staff was kind and helpful and there was plenty to do. The kids loved it!

By far the best vacation I have had. We were going to Florida to see family but decided the kids would have more fun at Lake Ridge. Boy, were we right. The pool and slides were amazing. The arcade was awesome. We watched a drive-in movie. We made tie dye shirts that are still in the bag. There was always something to do. The cabin we got was perfect and clean. I can't say enough good things about this place. Oh... we were in a golf cart parade, and the kids did the paddle boats almost every day. The new owners and staff were great. They were always around asking how things were going. We will definitely be back. I can't wait.

We went to the haunted house and it was the best!!!!! You guys did a wonderful job! We loved it. Please please consider locals coming next weekend because we would love to go again.

I stayed a week at the RV Resort in order to attend the Galax Fiddler's Convention. Very nice RV Park and lot's of entertainment for kids, families and adults. And the staff were wonderful every time I needed something. And I ended up needing their help. I had ordered an item from Amazon that should have arrived that week. But instead it arrived the day after I left. But Heidi was there to help by repackaging it and sending it to me after I emailed her a prepaid postage label. She saved the day! I hope you enjoy your future stay there!

We loved this place. Very nice management & staff. Super fun water slides, pool, arcade, great place for kids/families. Wonderful camp sites as well. Definitely will return.

Very interesting place with lots to do. Large shelters with water at each. Pools are great. Kiddie pool with 2 slides. Fun water activities including to massive water slides with tunes. Large arcade with many different game options. Can't wait to go back!

This place was solid. Had some trouble parking my RV, as the designated space had an incline that prevented me from getting into the spot without dragging my bottom. But otherwise, this was fantastic. Ownership and staff were personable and helpful. We had a great stay.

To say we were disappointed is an understatement. The overall environment of the park is very family orientated. I enjoyed the fact that children could ride their bikes and play corn hole, etc. what we did NOT like was the golf carts that constantly zoomed by our campsite. Three in particular, sped back and forth around the perimeter of the lower camp sites no less than 5-6 times an hour, ALL day long. There was no park supervision, no monitoring by the the staff and very few of the golf carts followed the 10 mph. Children on bicycles had to veer to the side of the road to make way for one particular golf cart. We witnessed 3 near misses involving children on bikes and a young woman walking her dog.
The upper section of the park was littered with makeshift permanent rv(s) that make the entire section look like the slums and enough pot holes big enough to swallow a Volkswagen.
If you don’t mind dust, gravel and constant golf car traffic, this is the place for you.
It is no longer on our “go to” list.

Amazing place with all the amenities you need for a great time. The staff is very helpful and the arcade has great new games. Definitely recommend.

I've traveled for 16 years by far the best and friendliest. This is the place to bring the kids and let them be kids ..

Amazing as always! I do wish the slides were open but the pool was so much fun for our family. The employees were so nice and accommodating. Our golf cart stopped running after we just pulled out and the switched is out, no problem. We had 3 adults and 4 kids and stayed in the 2 room lodge (pet friendly) that slept 8 and it was a perfect fit! We all enjoyed being very close to the playground and fishing dock with hours of fun all around! This was one of my all time favorite childhood memories of going with my parents and I'm just so very thankful that I know get to take my kids here to make new, amazing memories, for all of them. As long as Lake Ridge is open, we will always recommend staying here to everyone and look forward to our future trips!

This was our 1st camping trip with our camper and we had a blast! There was everything from karaoke night to a glow parade with golf carts to a glow slide (water slide).

We sincerely enjoyed our stay here! We will definitely be back! Our kiddos had so much fun! The water park/slides was great. The arcade was fun! We definitely made awesome memories with our family!

Just a suggestion and I think you would like to know. The young teenagers that was working in the store when we checked in and the ones running the slides for our whole stay there was very rude and unprofessional.

I spent the weekend in a cabin. I am not much of a camper. I had the best time. The cabin was clean, cool and very comfortable.
