We can’t thank Lauren and the cabin & courtyard and events enough for everything they did. They went so much farther than above and beyond to make everything perfect! From the rehearsal, to the dinner and then the wedding they truly made it exceptional. Lauren especially with the coordination and time and effort she put into every detail to make the perfect wedding! The food was beyond phenomenal and the cabin (entire venue) itself is a gorgeous venue and when paired with the perfect owner/coordinator it makes the night truly remarkable. From the time we started planning, Lauren has been there through each step to provide her expertise and we can’t thank her enough. She made an already perfect night even better and we’d recommend if anybody is considering the cabin, they book it and don’t think twice.

I had my daughters baby shower here on Sunday June 11,2023. I live in New York my daughter obviously lives in Louisiana. I arrived home on Tuesday June 13 and I couldn’t write this review quick enough. I can start by saying amazing amazing amazing. I was a bit nervous booking this party here not knowing the place. The second I called the owner Lauren which I did not know at the time assured me everything would be fabulous. Well she wasn’t kidding because it was. From the food, to the service, the staff, the owner Lauren, the decorations, the dishes everything was perfect. I met such beautiful people and we had such a beautiful day. Thank you for making our day amazing.

Amazing venue that hosts amazing shows! If u haven't caught a lunchbox comedy show yet you're missing out. The cabin has hosted some of the best shows I've been to. Lauren and her crew prepare some of the best food around. 10 out of 10 definitely recommend!

Simply awesome! The food was out of this world, the environment is the ideal place for any sort of event you might think of, and the hospitality by the owner and staff was brilliant! A mesmerizing place that I would definitely revisit!

A tour guide at Oak Alley recommended this restaurant. The food is absolutely delicious!!!!!!!! We were a little freaked out by the whole using of the slave cabins, at first. That part of history is horrible! Unfortunately, you can't change history. At least these are great reminders of that. History cannot be changed. We learn from it, so we do not repeat.

The food, the atmosphere, the service. The History. You are eating in history!! Please ask the staff about it. This place is one of a kind. Get the Pan Grilled Chicken with house made red beans and sweet cornbread. Don't forget the Buttermilk Pie. Eat and slip away to heaven. You won't be disappointed.

Great food and great service. Found them on Internet and so glad I stopped. The Louisiana catfish blacked was tender and delicious. Had two cold Dixie beers in frosted mugs. And taken a piece of bread pudding home. Very cozy and the staff was helpful, kind and very engaging.

Truly a one of a kind experience! I would highly recommend for the history, atmosphere and the delicious food!! Definitely worth the trip and very unique. It is basically half museum half restaurant with all the collector's items displayed throughout the place. Most of the buildings are more than 100 years old and still have original wooden walls and roofing. They will tell you all about the history and serve you some of the best southern comfort food I've had in the south. We will be going back the first chance we get :)

I have nothing but great things to say about this place! I have been twice, first time was by chance and I was so impressed by the service, location, and the quality of the food, that I decided to go back for my birthday lunch with my family. Both times, I was more than happy with my experience and highly recommend this location! I'll be back soon enough!

This place is a must go to! Their gumbo was some of the best I’ve ever had! Also a really awesome atmosphere, great service and got my food pretty quick! The only downfall is I tried to come back for lunch one day on my way to Texas from Florida and they don’t offer outside seating, I had my dog with me so I wasn’t able to stop to eat that day

It’s been four years since the last time I was here and everything is so delicious. The menu changed and the order processing as well. But the service still the same, great customer service! I love it, my favorite is their jambalaya and crawfish étouffée. God the best dessert on earth: Beeb’s bread pudding!!
I will be here next time I come back to Louisiana!

Neat little historic restaurant with a great chef. We ate here while attending the races at Donaldsonville, and it was a pleasant break from fast food. The only downside was my significant other now wants to get married there, as if the jewelry store ads weren't bad enough for pushing that agenda.

Very unique place, great food and unique atmosphere. Eating while observing the history of the actual building ( old plantation) was quite pleasant and the roast beef po'boy was melt in your mouth perfect. In my time in New Orleans I attempted to recreate the experience of this treat, and was unable. If you are anywhere near Sorrento, I highly recommend the short venture to the Cabin for some delicious fare.

The caliber of this establishment can not be overstated.

In late February 2020 I had the pleasure of enjoying their Crispy Fried Catfish swimming in Etouffee next to a pile of Dirt Rice.

Don’t leave Earth without this experience!

Great ambiance and excellent Cajun cuisine. Corn cakes were amazing as well as fhe shrimp and cheese grits. Loved the antiques in the General Store setup.
