Hwy 55 Burgers Shakes & Fries

Went to Hwy55 today on Airport! Heard they are under new management so wanted to give them another try. Cheyenne was my waitress! She was so sweet and very pleasant. The cook was Mike.... that was the best chicken cheese steak I've had in a long time. It was like night and day from how it was run before. I will definitely be going back

Bradina is absolutely amazing! My friends and I work on the same strip and eat here often. The first time we went I asked if they could make a grilled cheese separate from the rest of our order as my friend has a severe allergen to meat products.they went even further and cleaned the grill for us! Everytime since then when we go she has remembered us and makes sure the grill is cleaned when we all go in 🥰🥰🥰.

We stopped in the area on our way to Baltimore. We happened to come across this diner and decided to give it a go. The staff is very friendly and polite. They went above and beyond to make sure that our food was wonderful. I had the cheesesteak. This was a great cheesesteak, the meat, cheese, onions— I don’t eat mushrooms (allergy) or peppers. The bread it came on was perfect! My husband had the hot dogs and chili cheese fries and was impressed with it all ( he even asked for more coleslaw)! I really hope that you stop by and get something to eat! They have cute cars for the kids menu food to be served in. The menu has a good variety for kids and adults.

As soon as I walked through the door I and my family were immediately welcomed my service was exceptional, our drinks stayed full and we felt like we were waited on hand and foot out of all of the hwy 55 diners I have been to this is by far the best and to the cooks who prepared my food very excellent job. I couldn't think of a better meal to end 2021

Absolutely amazing service by zoey! She checked in with us and made sure our food was good and that we were enjoying it! The cook made sure the food was perfect… So glad to have such amazing service and friendly people working there! Thank you guys

I tried this restaurant for the first time last week. I am now on my 3rd visit (lol) the service is wonderful and this shrimp po'boy is absolutely AMAZING!!!! Update 5/23 feels like complete turn around, cold food fries wasn't in the box complete disappointment 😕 update 7/27 tried again... won't be back ANOTHER UPDATE! After conversing with someone on our local wilson FB page I decided to give another try BIG MISTAKE! decided to build my own burger and add bacon ordered a cheeseburger meal for my daughter as well did this for delivery my daughter NO DRINK not to mention I called in to request that our burgers and my bacon be well done. Food gets here and there is 1 piece of bacon that was crumbled up and BURNT! ABSOLUTELY PITIFUL last and final straw!

I just Enjoy lunch at hwy 55 on airport rd, and the food was amazing, cooked to order and very flavorful. The atmosphere was very clean and warm, but out of my whole experience I really enjoyed my Carolina Burger. It was wonderful thank you to my waitress Ty and also my cook for this evening. She was absolutely wonderful and attentive.

Tonight was dance night for the oldest so afterwards we decided to head to Highway 55 on airport since there was a nice review posted the other day on this location. Our service was extremely fast and efficient tonight and our food came out piping hot and delicious. One of the things that impressed us the most is how the staff was welcoming everyone that came in the door and holding the door for folks getting takeout. Even though we didn’t order anything for the 1 year old our waitress brought her a car to play with while we waited.

Their food has been consistently good the last 5 or 6 visits. There seems to be a positive change at this location over the last few months. There was a time last year when I did not go for several weeks because of poor service and poor quality. That is in the past now. I wish them well!

My husband fell in love with this place the first time I took him to my home town. So now everytime we go there he makes it his priority to eat there. Atmosphere is nice and cozy. It does get busy at times but they get you in and seated. Food is also amazing.

I always get the same high quality order every time. I've never gotten food that was below standard- it is on point every single visit. We love getting cheese steaks- regular, chicken, and the ones with hot peppers. I also enjoy the shrimp burger. Delicious.

Hwy 55 burgers are great, and this location was no exception. Staff was nice, food was fast, and burger was delicious. Even as they got slammed for lunch, staff was still checking on me. They had a very good team in there if one was busy another was checking on their tables or helping deliver food.

I really enjoy being at this store specifically it’s way better than the other one!!

"Andy's" I'm sorry, HWY 55 Is a great burger place that has good salads and chicken sandwiches too my favorite is the grilled chicken John boy and Billy sandwich with fries and a cup of cheese on the side. You can't go wrong here though!

Tip them well, they deserve it!

They have decent cheesesteaks. I grew up outside of Philly so these will do when the cravings hit. Their cheese fries are great and they have good burgers too.

Always enjoy my visit. The food is good, the sweet tea is the best around, and they make wonderful milkshakes. My cousin and I go there quite often.

Hwy 55 in Tarboro has a nice environment. Waitresses are always around if you need anything, nobody looks to be slacking in the diner. A good place to eat, try the milkshakes, shrimp burger or chicken Philly.
