Breakfast Nook

This is one of the hidden gems of Stanly County. It's a really tiny hole in the wall. To my knowledge I've never seen them advertised. Parking is in a gravel and dirt lot across the road. And you're always going to see a line out the door.

That's because the food is great, the service is great, and people love going there. If you come by, plan on having to wait 5 or 10 minutes to get a seat. Doesn't matter what time of day it is. Doesn't matter what day of the week it is. You're probably going to have to wait 5 or 10 minutes to get a seat. And that's okay. The food is worth it!

They cycle tables pretty quickly, so you really shouldn't be waiting more than a few minutes. It's owned by a local lady who works there every day. You'll often see her behind a cash register. She's the pretty lady with the straight brown hair.

Is it a five-star Michelin restaurant? No. It's good old Southern American breakfast food, and it's good every single time. I've never had a bad day in there. I've never had an off day. The food is good each and every single time. That's all you can ask for! That's why there's a line out the door!

We was visiting from NH and I wanted to take friends out for breakfast and one of them said they know a good place. Well it is a great place the food was great and the staff is a 10 star rating. Thanks for a great breakfast with our friends Howard Jillson from New Hampshire

Got there at 1055 and they closed at 1100 that day and they still let us order and didn't rush at all.
Friendly service and the food was amazing.
Will be coming back. Hopefully, not as late as last time.

Still the best in town. Everything on the menu is good. Often it is crowded. The service is friendly and fast, considering the crowds.
I recommend their Belgian waffle or their sausage omelet or the Philly steak omelet.
Plan to spend $10 or sometimes less per plate including tip.

Our first visit was last Saturday for breakfast. A WONDERFUL meal, experience, family owned and operated business with a superb staff. Best coffee that I have had. I enjoyed the rice and gravy as a side with my excellent omelette. Everyone enjoyed their breakfast choices. We will be back and we are glad that we found it based upon previous reviews.

I had the best grits I've ever had in my life. We had a omelet the wife and I shared it both was satisfied. I highly recommend this little place.

Amazing Service.. be aware waitstaff and who knows behind kitchen staff are not wearing masks. But out door seating. So good. Check days and times before going. Odd hours.. Very friendly! Great idea before ending our camping trip!

Staff was great. Very kind and courteous. The chef behind the counter whipped me up a fabulous (and huge) 4 egg omelette. My waitress kept my glass full and the conversation with everyone while I ate at the bar was pleasant. I'm from out of town and received the recommendation to come here and I'm glad I did. While I'm in town, I'll be sure to seeing by again.

Great little hometown place for a home style breakfast at a reasonable price. Service is fast, even when you have to wait on a table, and wait staff is very friendly and attentive. Food is well prepared. I love it when I order eggs over easy and they actually come that way! A lot of places get the yolks too done, but I've never had that happen at the Breakfast Nook.

Best darn food I have had the opportunity to enjoy in yrs. Customer service is friendly, kind, and the atmosphere was simply SOUTHERN and marvelous.. let me say that this restaurant is mind-bogglingly perfect. Best damn biscuits in NC. You have to come here and enjoy what real country hospitality is like.

The last time I ate here I was a teenager. Don't ask how long ago that was! I moved away and that is why I hadn't been back. The food is still delicious! I met a friend for breakfast on a Saturday morning. Thankfully she had us a table before I arrived because customers were lined out the door at 9am! If that doesn't tell you something I don't know what does! I ordered eggs over easy, bacon, grits and toast. Everything was cooked to perfection and it was a plate full! It is not a huge place but well worth the wait to eat there. I will be returning again in the very near future! I promise you will not be disappounted if you choose to eat at the Breakfast Nook!

Best breakfast in Stanly County hands down. Stacy and staff are always appreciative, very customer focused and willing to greet anyone with a smile. Very affordable prices, great piping hot coffee, and great camaraderie with locals. Stop in and see for yourself.

Very good food. Great service. We were running behind and they were soon shutting the grill, but were excellent got the order in quickly and we were told not to rush by the friendly wait staff. Great local restuarant
