Kathy's Java Express

No frills luncheonette was an unexpected surprise. Ordered a BLT on sourdough and a cup of Big Bird Soup. The bread was grilled which made all the difference in the world — no weak BLT here. The cup of soup was more like a bowl. Full of shredded chicken and rice. Total bill was $12.57. Can’t beat the price. I don’t usually post reviews, but this place was a winner in my book.

Best matcha milk I’ve had. Their sandwiches and onion soup was hearty and delicious! The ladies were so kind too! Will definitely come back! Thanks for honoring the military!

Hash brown roller, Tex mex burrito was slamming. I came all the way from NY with a crew to eat a recommendation from a cashier clerk in a gas station who said Kathy’s Java Express. The friendly atmosphere, pleasant workers, food was awesome, very hygienic. Pick your own seat. And did I say the food was slamming . Very creative with the hash brown roller. Can't believe I'm in Sanford for over a year and I just learned about this place. Such a great spot for a quick lunch. Salad and sandwiches made to order, fresh. Staff friendly. Relaxing atmosphere. Highly recommend!!

My son and I stopped in to get something to eat and coffee. Oh my... Were we in for a treat! The selection of coffee and latte were amazing by themselves, but the food menu was just as good. Everything on the menu sounded so delicious, it took us a little while to decide. We both decided on the bacon cheddar burger on the most amazing bread toasted perfectly. It was absolutely delicious! We decided then that we have to come back again to try all the other tasty options. On the way out we added a few scones to our order to take home. They barely made it to the car before he was trying one... And they were so delicious, not too dry as some scones are, they were perfect! I definitely recommend this place to everyone and it sits next door to my favorite place the Sanford Antique Mall.

It's our first time here in this area. The food was so good, and staff were great. Clean business and nearby parking.

Best soup here that I've ever had, and their sandwiches are executed perfectly! Just so good and the atmosphere is just very welcoming and comfortable.

I really enjoy the food at this cafe. The French Onion Soup and salad with ranch was delicious. They are quick and have a good menu.

Best scones ever. Mine was to grab a mug and help yourself. Which is fine by me.

Cozy place, friendly service! With a healthy choice menu!( I ate a veggie wrap and it was fabulous! Very clean, fast service! A huge selection of coffee flavors and drinks along with assortments of baked delites! Thanks so much for a great lunch.

A fun place with great staff, who are nice and knowledgeable about the multitude of coffee and beverage choices available. There is a robust menu full of great choices and includes a good selection of high quality, home made desserts. The restaurant is very clean and has nice views of Depot Park across the street. It is connected to the Sanford Antique Mall, which is also a must see when you visit historic downtown Sanford and adds to the experience of visiting Java Express.

Awesome place to have a meal! The ladies are super nice and helpful... The soup is always good and filling... The sandwich selection is wonderful and they will make it to the way you prefer it.... Don't forget the cookies 😁

Chicken salad was quite delicious. The atmosphere is so nostalgic yet modern and the staff was friendly. Perfect lunch spot! Highly recommend!

Love their Old Fashioned Potato Salad, tastes like the kind from back home, hard to find a sweet tasting one in NC 😉 staff is always friendly.
