Tour guide Jacqueline is very knowledgeable about the history and has a great sense of humor. Our group of 14 saw the workings of this distillery up close. Great, quaint place with excellent whisky & bourbon. Beautifully maintained grounds.

Fantastic tasting and tour. The tour guide we had was fantastic, really detailed history of George dickell and the distilling process. Got to walk through the fermenters and stills. The grounds are absolutely beautiful with the creek going through the property. The tasting room and post office are super cute. The whiskey is pretty good but overall lower proof.

Visited while the distillery was doing maintenance (so unfortunately couldn't see it "in action"), but they sent me an email weeks earlier (as I had booked in advance) to let me know which was thoughtful. Tour guide was very knowledgeable - I was actually the entirety of the tour group! Smaller the the larger distilleries in Kentucky, but a nice tour if you're in the area - and a nice gift shop with some exclusive bottles (which you can purchase a sample of at their bar!)

We enjoy visiting distilleries with friends and plan a five day trip each year. This year we had Dickel and Jack on the itinerary in Tennessee following a number in Kentucky. Cascade Hollow is among my favorites. The distillery is nestled in a beautiful setting, with a comfortable boutique feel.
I was not very familiar with their spirits before visiting and I was blown away by their current offerings. My favorites were the Bottled in Bond #3 and the Single Barrel 9 year.
Spaceman was an outstanding guide and story teller, including decades of personal history. What fun! I won’t relate any so as not to spoil the impact. All my favorite tours have been guided by those with a long personal history connected with the area and distillery.
Go! Go! Go!

My wife and I highly recommend taking a tour here at Cascade Hollow!
The tour was very informative and interesting, thanks to the tour guide, the history of the distillery, and the fact that we were able to go through the distillery and see the process itself.
The grounds were beautiful, the whisky was just as wonderful, and we would love to visit again in the future. It is well worth the trip!

Nestled away on 600 acres of beautiful wooded land is the Distillery and visitors center. A natural limestone stream cuts through the property filled with tiny silver fish. The distillery uses this cool, clean spring water for the cold distilling of their first class whisky (without the "e", as George Dickel insisted). The tour of the distillery was not rushed, very informative, with plenty of time given for photographs. The process was explained well while touring through the different stages of distilling. The tour takes about an hour and can get very hot but the property has plenty of shade where points of interest are discussed. We've visited 4 distilleries, from very large flagships to tiny boutiques, we found this tour one of the very best. We enjoyed the tastings of their fine whisky, sampling the higher end of the price range, a 6 flight tasting. The whisky ranges from almost pure distilled corn whisky to the more complex blends that culminate into a smooth and silky taste. It's worth paying a little more for extra flights. There is a large gift store on the premises that stocks the medium to high valued bottles, along with caps, polo shirts and many other branded items. We would highly recommend a visit to Cascade Hollow Distillery if you are a whisky/bourbon drinker and interested in the distilling process.

My wife and I had an amazing experience here in January! The walking tour is very much worth the price as you can get 4 tastings or up to 6. The staff are very informative and super helpful. The site was also very interesting to learn about as it was a fully operational facility but still made it so people could see where and how their favorite whisky is made.
This wasn't our first option at all but since the "place down the road" was closed we decided to make a stop and I can say with confidence that we're glad we did. We will be back and I'd recommend this to any whiskey/whisky enthusiasts or anyone wanting to learn a little bit about Tennessee history!

Fantastic distillery, beautiful location with a very friendly staff. The gift shop is very well organized and has an amazing collection.
The tasting experience with master distiller Nicole Austin is fantastic and worth every penny. It's a 90 minute session on the art, science and history of whisky making in the region. Nicole is very knowledgeable and answered all our questions very.

The prices were reasonable and they have some rare whisky's too.

Jaqueline was amazing! Super funny, gave us lots of knowledge on the tour & love how small (not commercialized) the distillery is. 100% recommend stopping here & taking a tour. One of the better ones I've been on!

Very welcoming and informative. I did the Heritage Flight tasting. They have a couple of different tasting you can experience. Unfortunately with this Covid thing going on they're not doing tours of the distillery. Tori did the tasting, she gave us the history of Dickel the man and also of the distillery before the tasting. She was very informative on the bottles we were tasting. Though the best part of the tasting for me was that my wife, not drinking, and 9yo were allowed to sit with me while I experienced the tasting. I definitely recommend doing the tasting.

Today is 1/29/21 and I drove 230 miles out of route just to get to the Cascade Hollow Distilling Co. Let me tell you why and what my visit was like!

First, expect to travel through some amazing parts of the country and see the Arnold Air Force Base on your journey to some of the best tasting Whiskey this side of the hemisphere.

Second, I came to find the whiskey you can’t pick up in your every day shop at home. And this place has got it. Do I need any other reason to be coming here?

Third, unfortunately I can’t remember the girl who help me at the distillery shop but she was absolutely fantastic and amazing. She only Had to answer like 755 of my questions but she was enthusiastic about answering everyone of them. She said her goal one day was to be a distiller (like Nicole) and when that day happens, I wanna be there to try her first bottle because that girl has passion!

If you’re expecting to see something the size of Six Flags theme park, you won’t. What you will see is the coolest freaking looking whiskey factory tucked between a small winding road and amazing backdrop of the wilderness in your life.

The shop is amazing and they have a variety of different things you could buy there and some stuff you can never find anywhere else on the planet. They’ve got apparel they got hats and a bunch of other stuff. I wasn’t able to take the tour because I was on a time schedule but I will be back one day to check the facility out.

If you like whiskey and you want to take a day trip, this is a cool place to visit and buy some fantastic tasting whiskey.

Thank you to the team, and the girl whose name I can’t remember (I’m sorry) who I bought $500 of whiskey from, for showing me around the shop and dealing with my weirdness. You guys are fantastic!

Nice, personal tour of the distillery and grounds. Cute waiting area is full of interesting museum quality items about George Dickel and the distillery. Beautiful area, so just driving to the place was enjoyable. We went earlier in the day, took the tour, and then did the tasting. Very interesting and educational.

Recommended visit to learn about whiskey making through touring the distillery and a cozy tasting session to cap off the day. Our guide, Larry made the whole experience fun and we learnt a great deal from him.

We had the absolute best time at the distillery. The tour itself was really great and informative, our tour guide Becky was so sweet, and the tasting was a blast! Everyone was so nice, and they even gave us a little present for our anniversary! (Shoutout to Tori for being an absolute sweetheart! She really made the trip there special.) It’s 100% worth it to go, and even if you can’t make a tour still go see the place, it’s absolutely stunning.

An excellent place for a visit in a very pretty location. You can learn a lot about the distilling process and history of George Dickel, a German immigrant who got into the whiskey business.
Veterans discounts are available, the tastings are a great experience and the gift shop is well stocked. A must do for anyone in the area, well worth a visit.

My husband and I have visited the Jack Daniel's Distillery before, but we have never visited the Cascade Hollow Distillery (George Dickel). It was very quiet. Not a lot of people when we visited. You can not tour the distillery at this time, but they do offer tastings. Our tour guide Tori (sorry if spelled incorrectly) was so knowledgeable and fun to listen to! If you ask, or they might offer, you can try a Dickel-drop or Dickel-ade (my favorite). Tori was also great about handing out bottled water because of the heat.

The distillery is one of my favorite places to visit in this area. The setting/scenery is beautiful, the front porch sessions are lots of fun, the people in the gift shop are super friendly and above all else, the whisky is AMAZING. What's not to love about Cascade Hollow?

Great staff!!!!! Very knowledgeable and very friendly. They do a very well job at explaining things on the tour and give you a good amount of alcohol to taste at the end. Very neat mid size distillery if you are looking for one to go too. Need about 2 hrs minimum.
