Cherokee Run is ABSOLUTE top notch for a free range deer or hog hunt in the Sandhills of South Carolina.
I’ve been with Tom and his staff 5 times in the past 6 months taking family and clients. The clean, comfortable, and well equipped lodge adds to the experience.
Friendships, fellowship, and memories including my Son taking his first deer are priceless.
I am already booked for the upcoming season and plan on adding additional dates.

Shout out to my sponsors for the hunt #cheetospuffs #Jergenshandcream and #swaggertysausagewaffles

Cherokee Run, hogs so tuff you have to kill them twice. (IYKYK) 😂

I had a great hunt last week Tyler Jones is lying about the condition of the hunting lodge. As for not seeing any hogs I had two sows the first night at 55 yards could not harvest them because they had 15 piglets with them. Second night had a big boar go through the brush by my stand couldn't get a good shot. So I saw hogs . That's hunting. I have been to Cherokee Run 3 years in a row and I definitely will be back next year for another 3-day hog hunt.

If you’re looking for a DIY turkey hunt in some beautiful country this is the place to go. Tom was very professional and accommodating. Multiple properties to bounce around to if you’re striking out on one and heard plenty of gobbling turkeys to be in the game. Lodging was comfortable and clean. Had a great time in camp with Tom and was able to harvest my gobbler day one in the afternoon.

Tom Naumann the owner, runs a top-notch outfit. He works very hard to put you on game. He knows the properties like the back of his hand and is a great guy. The lodge is extremely comfortable. I hunted with some great folks and had a wonderful time. Highly recommend and absolutely will absolutely book another hunt.

Good accommodation, beautiful locations for hog hunting. The stands are comfortable and easy to spot out of. Even a nice little fishing area right near the cabin. Tom the owner/guide will entertain and knows his stuff.

My father, my son, and I had the incredible experience of hunting together as three generations. We had an amazing time, and I believe that the presence of friendly people made all the difference. The lodge we stayed at was clean, and the people we shared our accommodations with were truly awesome. I must give a special mention to Tom and Donovan, who were simply the best. Tom, in particular, was a gifted storyteller, and it brought us immense pleasure to listen to his tales after long hunts, all accompanied by cold beers.

During our time, we were fortunate enough to witness a wide variety of animals. On the final night of our adventure, I couldn't have been prouder as a father when my son successfully harvested a deer. We will be back!!

Overall, what a great way to start my hunting journey!

My husband gifted me with a hog hunt for my early birthday present. It was his first time hog hunting and my first hunt in general. We drove down from VA and showed up a little late, but Tom was understanding.

Tom was kind, hospitable and patient. He is a wealth of knowledge having run this lodge for 20+ years so don’t be afraid to ask him questions!

I didn’t have any expectations coming in and certainly didn’t expect any luxury accommodations for a hunting lodge. I felt like the lodge provided just what we needed: kitchen, clean bedding, towels, bathroom, wifi. There’s even plenty of outdoor grills, a fire pit, shooting range and a small pond to fish some largemouth. Although there were other hunters in other rooms of the cabin, it made for great conversation and advice. Maybe my only complaint were the flies, but that’s more so Mother Nature for you.

We hunted before dusk through the evening before midnight (about 6-7 hour shifts) as in this area the hogs are more nocturnal. The night vision we rented were pretty heavy for our personal tastes but otherwise worked great.

Tom dropped us off and picked us up on time as the sites were about 10 minutes drive away from the lodge. We went to two different sites on the large property. First site we saw several gobblers (day before season opener unfortunately) and had decent cell service. The other group of hunters caught an hog that night, so don’t worry if you’re wondering - those hogs are out there! Second site for us was much quieter and darker, even after a short rain down. Feeders worked fine and box stands were pretty comfortable for 1 person (I didn’t know that office chairs could make such a huge difference).

Although we didn’t catch anything this hunt, I could not have asked for a better first time hunting experience. Will be back again some day. Highly recommend Tom and Cherokee Run!

The real thing - fair chase, not fenced, where scouting and feeding occur year round AND where lifetime family memories are made, regardless of harvest and most definitely from the fellowship.

This is a hunting trip, not a killing trip. This is not fenced property. Deer are not chained to trees. Tom and his crew work hard to establish opportunities. We’ve been going for over 12 years now, taking my sons when they were young and my father-in-law at 92 years old. My wife has felt comfortable there. It’s a wonderful environment for family and friends to celebrate being together while pursuing something they all enjoy. The lodge is comfortable and clean.
Tom is always looking for additional properties and building and setting new stands to increase his hunters odds of harvesting an animal. Will be going back again this year. One of my sons harvested his biggest deer ever there, a bruiser of a 10 pointer he named Buckzilla. Have shot some big deer and hogs over the year, but not every time because it is fair chase. Cherokee Run is creating fellowship and memories in a safe, patriotic and Christian environment.

Been hunting with Tom at The Run with friends and family since 2019 so this sept will be our 4th year but my 5th visit from Rhode Island and every year I have always been put on the game animals! The lodge has always been clean and well kept. I can’t speak for others but we clean up after ourselves. But you don’t need to take my word for it just look on thier Facebook page and see the results! I do expect to see nothing eventually because it’s called Hunting not killing.

Me and my dad been to this place for 2 years straight, we never had a disappointment in this place at all. We have so much fun with the people we meet and hang out and Tyler Jones hunting is hunting and killing is killing and These hugs are not fenced in at all like some places. You guys talk about at the camp. And these animals are free range

Tom is awesome. He’s very knowledgeable in what he does and does his best on getting you on a deer. I was there for a 3 days hunt durning rut and had a blast. The other hunters there were awesome and got to make some good friends. Everyone one there was like family and can’t wait to go back. Thank you Tom.

My family (mainly the guys), have been going to Cherokee run for about 5 years. Tom is awesome, the guides from what I have heard a tons of fun. The experience is hands down the best, even better is a kill. Hunting is just that, hear some, lose some, see some, bag some. This is what hunting is all about! My guys love it, and will keep in returning. Tom has watched my son grow from a little fella to a man, and adores his Helmbright bunch. Can't wait for many more adventures with Tom at Cherokee run hunting lodge.

Let me first state the obvious if your going hunting here you need to be a hunter not a couch sitting outdoor television wanna be, if your not willing to do everything in your power to be successful then you can not blame anyone but yourself. Tom and his Guide Donovan do all the hard work for you with putting out corn and putting the stands in easy to get to areas with good deer traffic, but if you want to take a bath with your perfume soaps and smoke a half pack of cigarettes' in your stand then you might not get the experience you were hoping for. If you know even a little about scent control and can stay off your phone for more than 5 minutes and actually look out the stand into the woods where the deer live you will probably be successful. I have hunted with Tom for 6 years and have killed 9 deer myself not to mention all my family and buddies who have had success with him. In my personal Opinion and I have hunted in a lot of places you will not find a better deal for a 3 day hunt anywhere in the United States period.

Just finished a 3 day hunt with Tom. I could not have asked for a better and more fulfilling experience. Cherokee Run is a truly amazing place. Tom is a great guide and host who gives you everything he’s got every day. He really cares and strives to make your time there not only successful, but also memorable. This was my first experience with Cherokee and I can’t wait to return.

I have hunted Cherokee run for 3 years on 4 occasions now, mostly hog but have also hunted deer, all of my hunts were successful I almost got 3 hogs in 3 days but the last pig just wouldn't come in close enough to get the shoot.
Tom and his Crew are the best and I have hunted a few different lodges these guys take care of you. Lots of stands in different terrain settings from swamp to clear cut, covered hardwoods to sand hills to accommodate your needs Deer, Turkey, and Hog. Tom knows what stands are active at all times and gives you key notes of the lay of the land and what to be aware of. Toms Crew are on top of there game with assistance if you need help skinning and cleaning Large cooler to Hang you game as well. I'm a repeat customer and highly recommend Cherokee Run. Going again April 2020. C U at the Run.

Spent a weekend this winter hunting Cherokee Run with a group of friends. We had a great time and came home with a couple good hogs. Enjoyed hanging out at the lodge with Tom, playing music, and telling good stories. Tom worked hard to put us in good position for our best chance at success.

The lodge is clean, set up perfect for a group of guys, and worked perfect for us. Land we hunted was prime picking for hogs and there were unlimited signs of hogs on my walk in to the stands. Our group got lucky and the timing was right for a great harvest for some good sausage.

We look forward to coming back and I now consider Tom a good friend!

Book him up for a good experience!

Had a great weekend, lodge was nice and skinning shed was great for post harvest. Tom was knowledgeable and put us on pigs. We had 8 guys in camp and 6 had opportunities. This is free range and no guarantee but Tom has the property and knows where pigs are. Highly recommend, I shot my biggest pig to date and we're already set up to go back next year!
