Another great state park! There is a lot to do here. There is a short boardwalk through the floodplain area. And the Floodplain Trail is pretty easy to hike, really well marked, and includes 2 of the artesian wells. Loop Road is a gorgeous path to hike, ride bikes or horses. It follows the Lynches River and is shaded by a tunnel of trees. There is a kayak launch on Loop Road with a pretty big parking area. The gift shop has snacks, games, books, and all kinds of souvenirs. And admission is free so totally worth a visit!

I didn't see any horse but found deer marks close to the ponds. I was the only one there since the temperature was 35 early morning. Next time I'll bring my bike to do the long loop.

Nice quiet camping spot! Spent 2 weeks enjoying the artisan wells with crystal clear water flowing from them. A clean and clear swimming spot to cool off when it's hot. Multiple fishing holes to sit back and relax. You will find amenities for horses along with trails to walk and explore. Not to be overlooked is the extremely friendly host staff and rangers always willing to answer questions and help out. I highly recommend this park!

We had an amazing time at Lee State Park, the campground was clean and very well maintained. We loved the fact that we could stay in the equestrian area even though we don't have horses. The camp spots were very large and gave a lot of room for gathering with the family. The artisanal springs were awesome, nice and cold.. which was wonderful during the summer heat. We enjoyed walking and hiking the trails.. the bright white sand was pretty cool to see as well. We will definitely be making a return visit.

Absolutely loved camping here! We rode bikes on the beautiful shady trails and stopped to see all the Artesan wells! Freezing cold water was such a pay off from our bike ride! We will be back!! ❤

I had a great time visiting Lee State Park, after taking a drive around Loop Rd and seeing the amazing scenery along the route.

I went to see the artesian wells and the pond. It did not disappoint. The atmosphere was perfect with the birds chirping and greenery all around.

Beautiful, quiet, equestrian park. Nice hiking, minimal bugs, nice hot showers. Our mobile phones worked. Stayed 13 days. Loved it.

Quiet peaceful, friendly equestrians dream small camping area but good size sites compared to most of the state parks okay we just went back for Christmas Eve 2023 they have really upgraded this is a horse Paradise there is things for other people to do as well and they were upgrading the restroom facilities when we were there the only thing I would say to do different is to put in a bigger laundry facility but these guys are great

Beautiful park the loop road is awesome but some trails aren't very well marked, still 5 stars because it's a great park.

Park staff were friendly and helpful. Grounds are maintained well. Part of park loop gated due to flooding from recent rains, so no river access.

Enjoying seeing and tasting water from the springs. Only one was truly palatable (at youth campground). Others smelled of sulphur/ rotten eggs... Lovely, albeit relatively short, loop trail around the pond directs you to two fountain springs.

We hope to return, access the trails and the river.

This is a beautiful State Park. Brand new electrical pedestals. The power is great. There are horse riders going by in the woods and road. Very friendly staff and Campground Hosts. The park Ranger makes you feel safe, as they drive by quite often. Also the Sheriff dept. drive though so it helps you sleep at night. The nights are dark and peaceful with the warm glow of campfires. We will definitely come back here as it is a beautiful State Park.the sites are spacious too. The water pressure is great. We enjoyed our stay and will come back.

It was a cold day so there were no visitors really besides some campers. The trails were very well marked and we visited the equestrian center where it looked like the stalls were very clean and well-maintained with good water sources and clean fresh stalls. It looked like it had a lot of nice horse trails. We walked one trail that was along the water and my dogs absolutely loved it! I would highly recommend it and definitely want to return someday with my camper and camp. It looks like it be a great place to camp and stay for a while.

First off, with Halloween about a week a way, I loved that the state park staff took the time to decorate the park. I loved the painted hay bales and hanging ghosts that greeted me.

I had a quiet afternoon in the park as there weren't many people there on a cloudy Sunday afternoon. Walking through the swamp on the boardwalk was peaceful and a really unique experience. The trails were well maintained and I was really impressed at what this seemingly small park had to offer.

Nice State Park along the Lynches River. Park is well maintained. Staff and hosts were great. Campground is mostly level with sandy roads and sites among the tall pine trees which were great for shade in the heat. We hiked and biked some of the trails and paddled our kayaks from a couple different spots on the river. The Loop Road trail is very scenic with several places available for fishing and one of the better artisan wells we have found. There is an old CCC house still available along the way with another artesian well with a wading pool and a boyscout project pier to fish from. On the day side of the park is a nice picnic area and three ponds fed by artesian well water, an education center with lots of souvenirs available and a boardwalk where we seen three different snakes. The ponds offer fishing but two are full of lilly pads and overgrown around the edges.

This park is beautiful with a delightful surprise!

We have been to Lee a few times. Some of them were with scouting groups, but we had been once on our own too to stamp our Ultimate Outsider book. And got lost! I'm still not sure what happened, but we ended up on equestrian trails and were pretty frustrated. So when my husband suggested it when I said I wanted to go hiking for Mother's Day, I went begrudgingly.

First, my middle daughter took a scavenger hunt from the information kiosk and had a grand time with that. Then, the natural wells, my kids adore those, and we stopped there as we started out on the Floodplain Trail. There were no maps at the kiosk, and we had taken a photo of the map posted, but we were happy to find a box with maps hanging on a post after going through the trail entrance behind the lake. When you get to that, make a right, and when the trail splits, stay right. After that, we walked down, did the boardwalk trail and followed the loop trail down further and....oh my goodness, the delight when we suddenly saw a plastic flower hanging from a tree and realized it was a fairy! Some magical soul turned this hike into a fairy village!!! Little wooden houses on the trees, fairies hanging from the trees, my kids had a ball. The fairies stopped after Harry Potter and then hopped on the Loop Road and walked straight back. This was around 3 miles. Perfect! Just a perfect day.

We also saw lots of lizards, a few snakes, and some turtles and frogs, which normally would have been exciting in itself, but the fairies really took the cake this time.

You can also drive to stop at the other wells, which we did, but my kids said the two down by the lake were still the best. They like to float pinecones down the little canal.

I usually print out the trail maps before we go, and I'd recommend it here especially, since the park office hours are extremely limited.

This park is one of my favorite state parks in south Carolina. The horse corrals are nice and so are the camping spots. There is room for rvs with electric and water hook up. A water hose and extension cord always come in handy. There's nice trails to walk, ride horses, bike, etc. Its nicely shaded and even has showers in the bathrooms. Its a great place to escape the hustle and bustle of everyday society/life. Dogs are okay but they must be on leash. There's a pond to swim in as well as fish. If you love the outdoors this is the perfect place to go.

This is one of our favorite campgrounds due to the large size of each campsite and the cleanliness of the campground.

This is a quiet and restful state park. Close to I-20, it has newly outfitted RV elec and water hookups. The staff was so friendly and helpful! Keep in mind, this park is cut from level forest. There are wood trails and horse facilities, but there is not a large natural feature like other parks. Check the park website or call as this park does not always show up in the state system. We just visited and there were plenty of spaces available.
