Loved how quiet cades cove was. It was nice to be secluded from busier areas of the park and we saw plenty of wildlife! Cades cove loop at dusk is where you'll catch bear and coyote!

Great remote no frills campground. Sites have good space between them. Lots of bears, deer, coyotes, and turkeys in the Loop Drive!

The campground was very empty when we went, Mid January, but otherwise very enjoyable. The sites were very close together so during peak season it wouldn’t have been as enjoyable. It was also very cold and my first of the two night reservation got canceled because of weather. I was at site B18.

Beautiful campground. We were close to the river so we walked over and dipped our toes in. Drive up is just as beautiful as the campground itself, definitely recommend.

We just spent 4 days camping at this campground in the group 4 site. Awesome experience, everyone should go with their family. The bathrooms were clean, staff at the park was super nice and friendly. The campground store is very nice and well stocked with food and gifts.

We have a lot of kids so If you go make sure to pack water and juice and snacks because it's a two to three to four hour drive going through. ALOT of people stop and take pics and all vehicles stop in line and that's why it takes so long to get through. You will see breath taking views it's worth going. Be prepared!

I think this is the busiest campground I've ever been too and we visited in september.I'm used to waking up at 6 and waiting on the campground .Here I felt late .But even with all the activity is a quieter campground.Quiet hrs seem to be followed. Beautiful campground with a great view of the stars .Although they did come around at 8 for the garbage but not sure if that has more to do with bears or not.

We stayed in early September in site C17 and then a few days later in site C30. Site C17 was by far our favorite as it's across from a wooded area with a nature trail and the site is quite level. Site C30 was also nice, but no direct woods view and more of an incline. Both sites are very near the bathrooms. We also stayed a couple nights in Elkmont campground and have to say that Cades Cove was by far our favorite and the place we'd camp again on a future visit. This is because of the Cades Cove camp store that offers hot food (hot dogs, chili, pizza, bbq sandwiches, hamburgers, etc.) as well as lots of snacks and grocery items, and the bathrooms at the camp store have hand soap (although they close at night).

As far as the negative. We knew there were no showers, just sinks with cold water and flush toilets. We came prepared for that. However, the bathrooms are filthy. I'm not sure what the park service cleaning routine is, but it seemed non-existent to us. We suspect they empty trash (in the bathrooms that have trash cans) and that's it. You also need to know that there's no hand soap in the campground bathrooms. We learned that since these facilities need to remain available to campers 24/7 this is the way it has to be due to bears who will come in the restrooms because of the soap. We wanted to mention it so others can come prepared to carry a small soap with them.

Absolutely love coming here with my family, loads to do, just wish people will stop feeding the wildlife they where having to kill some of the animals because they were relying on humans to feed them to much

Great place for starter campers or pros!! You can reserve your spot or just show up and check the reservation board for open spots. Normally an activity or story time at the store area before dusk. Restrooms provided and some lights. Be sure to keep that food in an air tight container though, wildlife loves to dig after dark!

Nice campground, dry camping close to the motor trail. We were there in mid October and the trees were beautiful. Zero bars, picnic table and fire ring at each site

We have traveled all spring/summer way out to Yellowstone and never saw any bears come back to the Smokey Mountains and bingo, momma bear with 3 cubs. Really nice drive and plenty of wildlife. Last time we were over here we heard about this drive but it was was shut down for bicycles.

Great place to visit, camp, ride electric bikes and see bears and other wildlife. There's no cell service in the mountains, but the lodge has WiFi so you can stop by to get some ice cream and check your messages.

Great campground and campsite. Just wish there was a shower available for people who tent camp. Wouldn't feel comfortable staying on entire week without a shower. Definitely plan to return! Saw my first bear in the wild while driving the loop!❤❤❤

This is a great campground. The beauty of the Smokies is amazing! Make sure when you go that you reserve your campground beforehand, and also your parking permit. Also, if you are looking for a great spot to cool off while camping at Cades Cove, check out Chilhowee Lake. It's about an hour's drive from the Cades Cove camp grounds.

Great place to camp, yes bears are around and you might see them play in a tree nearby the staff there keeps a close tab on bear activity so you can feel fairly safe. Bathrooms and running water no showers too primitive for some, not primitive enough for others.

This campground was a nice surprise. Like many National Park Campgrounds the sites were somewhat close together, but not too bad. Also the trees and positioning of the sites made it feel less tight on space. Level paved site and easy to back into. This campground has great access to the Cades Cove drive and the Little River Road. Bathrooms were fine.
Excellent camp store and there is Wi-Fi in the amphitheater near the camp store.
We will return to this campground to enjoy this part of the Great Smoky Mountains.

There are flushing toilets and a deep sink to wash your dishes in. We saw two black bears within a 1-2mile radius from the campsite so make sure you are being mindful about being in bear county. The tent site was nice and long.
